Chapter 59: This man was serious!!! (part 4 of 4)

“Don’t be delusional!” The middle-aged man sneered. Although he inwardly felt very fainthearted, but he still had a sneer on his face, “I will never talk!”

Although he had really been frightened by the set of operation Gu Wuji had done just a while ago, but Gu Wuji, who actually came to save this living person was obviously a good person. So, he didn’t believe that the other would do anything to harm him.

“Is that so?” Gu Wuji stood up after having heard what was said, as if he had already given up.

Although the middle-aged man had also been somewhat shocked to see this person give up too quickly, but he still felt relief inside. The person behind the scenes had given him a few trump cards. So long as he was given a bit more of time, he will be able to break free of this rope. When that time comes, who knows who the last man standing will be!

But soon after, he feebly witnessed Gu Wuji call out a pitch-black dog from out of nowhere…… no, that’s not right, that dog actually exudes a very strange breath. That isn’t some sort of ordinary creature at all!

Even in his subconsciousness, the breath from that monster made the middle-aged man feel a sense of fear.

“What-, what are you going to do?”

Gu Wuji said: “Although I don’t want to do anything too excessive. But since you’re such a scum, allowing you to go on living to harm others isn’t good as well, and since you also refuse to say anything…… It would probably be much better to make you into dog food, right? At least you would still be of some use even after your death.”

Dog food?!

“En, isn’t that great? Goldie has only been able to absorb ordinary negative energy recently, and seems to have lost a whole lot of weight.”

The sight of the middle-aged man fell upon that obviously very intimidating monster, which really didn’t have the signs of being hungry or thin at all.

When Gu Wuji had said these words, he really didn’t look like he was threatening someone at all. He only seemed to be truly considering the feasibility of carrying out this matter with earnest. He even felt that this was a very good idea, as he nodded in satisfaction.

The middle-aged man had already been stricken with terror.

Is this man really a good person? Why does he feel frightened just by listening to him!?

Seeing the monster instantly pounce towards him, and even tear off his arm without the slightest hesitation, had already brought the fear of the middle-aged man to the highest point.

Damn! This man was serious!!!

Ever since his death, aside from that time when he had been caught by that person behind the scenes, where had he ever experienced this feeling? When he doesn’t directly kill these living people, he would enjoy their painful struggles before death, and would consequently feel very proud of himself. Feeling that he has the power to control over the life-and-death of these living people, not to mention the elation he feels.

But never had he expected for this sort of thing would actually happen to him at this time–

“I’ll speak! I’ll speak!! Quickly let this monster stop!”

——

“I really can’t get in touch with grandmaster Gu.” Cheng Jia’s face was filled with cold sweat, as he cautiously looked at that man in the main hall. The other person was surprisingly Cheng Jia’s paternal granduncle*, and was also the current patriarch of the Cheng family.

*older brother of Cheng Jia’s dad

Not knowing whether it was a misperception or not, Cheng Jia incessantly felt that this paternal granduncle had a lot of vicissitudes than before, as if he had suffered from fright during the time he left here.

“I didn’t expect granduncle to really show up all of a sudden. What should I do this time? So annoying.”

He had become aware that his paternal granduncle had actually done that sort of thing, and might have even left them to die here after all. Had it not been for grandmaster Gu’s existence, they would have all become corpses by now! And the Cheng’s ancestral home would have certainly become a ghost nest.

Considering the fact that the ghost from before still seems to be outside, Cheng Jia became suspicious whether the reason for his granduncle’s return this time was because he was still plotting to kill for property or something. In any case, he doesn’t feel the slightest bit of good feeling due to those several attempted murders at that time……

Cheng Jia remembered Gu Wuji’s command, in addition to the somewhat strange circumstances at the moment, which made him want to quickly get in touch with the other.

As it happens, Gu Wuji had gone out to watch a movie by himself today. Even though Cheng Jia had also wanted to tag along, but what should be done if he was treated as an eyesore by grandmaster Gu because he constantly bothers the other like this? What’s more, Gu Wuji had already left the shadow ghost in his care to protect him from harm.

Cheng Jia felt the box he stuffed in his pocket, only then did he feel a bit confident inwardly.

Although the feeling of gaining confidence because of a ghost was also such a very wonderful thing…… But this was grandmaster Gu’s ghost after all, which was naturally tamed to be very compliant and obedient, and was completely different with those wild ghosts. So there’s no way it could do something unwarranted!

Cheng Jia’s mother, Mrs. Tang was still happily chatting with the Cheng patriarch downstairs. Then had a pleasantly surprised look soon after, and quickly called out to Cheng Jia, “Come over quick. Your granduncle said that he would bring you with him to gain first-hand knowledge on this time’s business trip!”

Cheng Jia naturally showed an awkward expression on his face “Mom, this is-……”

He had already sensed something wrong deep inside. When had his granduncle ever taken him in his eyes*? To actually want to bring him to his business trip this time. More importantly, what’s with this eagerness? What’s up with this need to immediately depart for the business trip at this very late night? This isn’t normal at all.

*to be regarded as something worthy

But Mrs. Tang was intent in grabbing onto this extremely rare opportunity, and determined that Cheng Jia must go in a resolute manner.

When Cheng Jia raised his head to look over, and surprisingly noticed that the two bodyguards of his granduncle was standing behind his mother, making him feel alarmed deep inside….. If he doesn’t go, who knows if his granduncle will do something to his mother? He’s a person that’s capable of doing those sort of things before after all.

“Alright, don’t rush. I-, I’ll go.” Cheng Jia had barely been able to maintain his expression, as he donned on the cynical appearance from his former days, and acted very resistant as he finally went over to his granduncle’s side.

The Cheng patriarch and Mrs. Tang immediately revealed a satisfied smile.

If Cheng Jia hadn’t come across so many ghosts during the time he was with Gu Wuji before, and had developed a bit of courage, it is estimated that he would have directly knelt down due to the weakness of his knees at this time.

After getting on the car of the Cheng patriarch, Cheng Jia thought of that box he had with him, in addition to that talisman he cheekily asked from grandmaster Gu before which came from an unknown origin, only then did he feel a bit better.

""
