"One work after another... Tsk, tsk."

Shiro massaged his forehead as he mused over the "Emergency Quest" this time around. He felt that he will be involved with this one. If Madoka's world is not enough to be constituted as an emergency, then the one with that description will be very troublesome.

Fortunately, the chat group itself took the initiative to explain everything. Three black-gold prompts appeared one after another in his sight.

[Announcement]: An emergency quest has been issued.

[EMERGENCY QUEST]

Details: A mission issued by the chat group pertains to world-destroying threats. The complete extermination of anything—parallel worlds, signs of life, or any sentient being—will be brought upon by its completion. The will of the target world is continuously dealing with the threat, hence it is imperative to be launched 48 hours after being issued.

[EMERGENCY QUEST: Collision of Worlds]

Details: An anomaly has occurred in a certain world, ushering forth destruction that nobody in that world had seen. The danger level of this mission is raised to the emergency level due to the powers possessed by the main culprit behind the anomaly.

Objective 1: Prevent the destruction of the "Real World"

Objective 2: Prevent the destruction of the "Story Worlds"

Participants: Six (6) Chat Group Members

Reward/s: 5,000,000 Points, 3 SSR-rated [Guaranteed Ticket], 1 [Permanent Revision] Slot

Deadline: 48 hours after the EMERGENCY QUEST had been published.

Note 1: Due to this mission's peculiarity, the participants' roles will be separated between [Creators] and [Creations]. The role of the former is to act as a "normal" human in the eyes of others while the latter's role is to use supernatural abilities to combat the opponents.

Note 2: The participants will be "shielded" by the chat group against any omniscient-level abilities during this mission.

Note 3: The "shield" will be canceled once the "roles" are broken.

Note 4: A chance to [Decrypt] information will be given in advance (One participant will have the chance to decrypt a percentage of the information by luck).

Shiro skimmed everything before he opened the now-hectic chat group.

Romani: "The flashbacks are strong in this one."

Touka: "Madoka's world, I get it."

Shiro: "Says the two who underestimated her world back then..."

Romani: "It's not our fault. I mean, who would have expected such ridiculous events in a magical girl world?"

The dark and horrendous world is hidden under the veil of sweetness and innocence. It took the idiom "viewing the world in rose-tinted glasses" to the next level.

Kal'tsit: "There are more requirements than before."

Lelouch: "Four notes... It is the first time I'm seeing one personally."

Kuroneko: "The last one... Shiro, I think you will be needed here."

Shiro: "Yep..."

Four rules. Each of them is intricate, requiring a well-thought plan incomparable to the ones in the past.

'The first and the third one... There's already some hidden implications in it.' He thought. 'The [Creators] are needed to act as a normal human, but the punishment in the third note would not add if we use our powers with our identity hidden.'

Shiro: "These rules have lots of implications. We'll have to think how we should deal with this first properly."

Romani: "Anyways, only six participants, huh. This is gonna be difficult."

Lelouch: "It shows that we must treat this mission with utmost seriousness."

Shinji: "A big mission... I'm excited!"

Seol: "Big battles... I'm interested..!"

Touka: "..."

Romani: "..."

Kouzuki: "..."

Shino: "..."

Shiro: "Pfft..! We're talking about how we should deal with this, and then there's you two here! So this is how you grew up, Shinji-kun."

Shinji: "A-aniki..!"

After that, the others saw Shinji logging off. He is currently embarrassed that he accidentally showed his training maniac side once more to the public. As of now, he had done this quite a few times now.

Everyone then decided to choose the roster of the participants that will be in this mission until tomorrow.

Shiro: "I'll be going down. I'm tired after the battle just now. See you next morning."

Romani: "Right. See you-... Wait, you already dealt with the outer god?!"

Shiro: "Yep! I got lucky and got so many advantages in one go, so I finished her off in one strike, too."

Seeing this, Shiro decided to discuss everything right now. After doing so, he dived into the comfy 5* hotel bed...

"Huff... My luck saved me..." Kim Hajin blankly mumbled as he stared at the chaotic scene not far away from him. Sirens are ringing out, a few cars were thrown out, and a few buildings got demolished. This is the result of his brief fight with Cheok Jungyeong, the muscular man who's a member of the Chameleon Troupe.

As he had expected, the said criminal group is filled with elites that have unique penchants. Cheok Jungyeong, the man possessing the ability to recall his past life, 'remembered' his identity as the Murim's strongest.

(A/N: Murim is the Korean Martial Arts World.)

His penchant can be summarized as being a battle maniac, but one with a bottom line. If not for Hajin's luck making him dazed due to a fly, he would have flinched while facing his unexpected attack, which will lead to his demise as the battle maniac would not deem him worthy—hence he will not leave him alone and kill him at that time.

Beep-!

"Huh? A quest?"

Upon reading the contents of the prompts briefly, his relaxed expression turned serious once more.

"Saving a world from destruction?" He rhetorically asked. "Looks like one is not enough, huh..."

When he found out that he got transported into his novel, the biggest mission that he gave himself is to stop it from destruction. Because of his "awesome" ideas, it just happened that there would be a demon king descending into this world with the sole intention of sending every race other than the demons to damnation.

"I'll just think about it when the time comes."

For now, he sorely needs a smoke.

*****

In a dark room.

What is reflected in a young girl's aquamarine pupils is the light that came from the panel. She saw the lively discussions there, yet she chose not to join. Although, her eyes stayed on a certain name briefly. The girl turned off the chat group panel, but it already caused her to involuntarily have her deepest memories—ones so excruciating yet she could not forget. Rather...

She dare not forget.

She would not forgive herself once she does.

In the end, it caused her to fall into this contradictory situation wherein she suffers yet can't let go of what is making her suffer.

"Live."

She could not bear to give up her life for this one word. To not waste the life sacrificed for hers, she continues to "live". Now that she is seeing a kind of hope—something that will allow her to see "that person" once more—her thoughts were not as dark as before.

Slipping off to the dreamland, she saw her most precious memories. She saw "that person" give off a smile over the usually bored face of "his". The moments when they tried to beat "him" for the top 1 in Mario, when they played hide and seek for hours... those were the times when she had fun the most.

Sadly, they are only memories now. Memories that further exacerbated the wound that she desperately hid from others.

Even now, she-...

*****

A/N: Kim Hajin is from The novel's extra while the young girl... It'll be a surprise. For those who did not pick up the world, it is Re:creators. It is that anime where an invincible character resides... Altair. To shake your memories about her, she is the one who has Holopsicon, the power to do "anything". I'm not lying when I mentioned that the outer god arc serves as an intro for high level fights lol...

Fact #93: Altair's design (and the general outline) most likely came from Hatsune Miku. This is the conclusion that many anime watchers came into. First, they have the same situation regarding secondary works. Anyone can post/create their own works using their characters as the basis. Second, she looks nearly identical towards the senbonzakura Miku. Her military outfit, her twintails... Though, Miku is not only her inspiration. She also took Gil's characteristics (Gate of Babylon for the flying swords), Noctis' rotating sword shields(FF XV), and Black Rock Shooter's irl backstory is the same as Altair's.
