inside a village north of the city of Aeris. The sound of metal striking metal could be heard. Inside a forge is someone you won't expect in a place like a blacksmith's. A little girl, probably not older than 7 years old, is hammering away at a steel ingot she just heated up. This girl is no ordinary girl, though. She can lift the heavy hammer because she has been blessed by the god of strength. At least, that's what the church said.

Nirra sighed as she took a break from hammering the steel ingot. After which, she placed the ingot back into the furnace so that she could make it malleable to shape it once again.

She knew inside that what she is making is near impossible with the current tools she has available, but she is still trying to bend the ingot into a barrel.

With the help of a steel rod, she managed to whack the metal into shape and then breathe a sigh of relief afterwards. She quenched the newly made barrel in cold water before slowly grabbing it.

In this world, the word "barrel" means a container for something, but not to Nirra. This piece of steel tubing means something very different.

"This should be good, not perfect, but this is something I can work with." "At least that is one piece completed," she thought to herself.

She then placed the newly forged barrel in a hidden drawer. She then extinguished the fires that kept the furnace running and went to clean herself. Afterwards, she changed into a nightgown and went to bed beside her sleeping little sister.

Nirra. That was the name her parents, Mirabel and Marcus Agustine, gave her. Nirra still remembered how she got into this world.

After a tiring day as a professional gunsmith, Theodore wanted to sleep. He closed his eyes and opened them after what he thought was a few hours earlier. He was welcomed by the sight of a wooden roof. He noticed that he could not move his body, no matter how many times he tried to do so. Glancing to the side, he spots what could be described as a baby.

He then noticed wooden walls that surrounded him, and it didn't take a detective to connect all the dots. He was reborn.

Theodore wondered if he had died in his previous life, but he shook those thoughts the moment he heard the door to the room open. Two adults, one male and one female, came into her view. The male picked up the baby that was beside her, and the female picked him up.

"Our daughters are so adorable," the male said while gently cuddling what he assumes is his sister. But wait, daughters? Does this mean that he was reborn as a girl? This left him in a small shock.

Well, getting reborn has a 50/50 chance of giving you your desired gender, so Theodore discarded her shock and focused on the scene that is happening to her now.

"Dear, it's morning." "It's time to open up the shop." Her mother said as her father nodded and gently placed her sibling inside the crib Theodore had founded himself in. But Theodore was left curious, though. What kind of shop were they talking about? She asked herself inside her head.

So to try and get them to take her to their shop, she made little baby noises and movements to try and get her parents to take her there. Her mother did not get the message, though, and she giggled.

"Oh Nirra, such a lively baby as ever." "You'll tire yourself out if you keep moving like that." She said.

Just like she said, Theodore, no, Nirra felt her eyes. feeling like weights that wanted to close her eyes. Soon after she did so, she went to sleep as her mother hummed a lullaby.
