Nirra moved through the market district. More and more shops opened up to meet the morning rush of customers. One of these shops is the Dragon's Breath Forge from yesterday.

The shop had windows through which one could see some adventurers who were already working on their gear in preparation for quests later. They sharpened their swords, spears, and daggers while also customizing them with colors and custom symbols. The shop was rather big compared to the other shops beside it. The outside was painted black with a sign that said the name of the shop.

When Nirra walked inside through the front door, she heard a small bell ring when it was opened. Inside, it was just as spacious as Nirra thought. Multiple stations, like grinder wheels, where weapons are sharpened and fixed, can be seen. She also saw some furnaces, some of which were on.

"Good mornin'! Welcome to me small business," She heard a voice call out to her. She probably got notified by the bell that was rung when she went in.

She turned her attention to the huge man who was at the front desk. His arms crossed as he flourished a big smile on his face. Nirra walked up to the front desk, admiring how well it was crafted.

"So? Do you wanna rent out a station for your purposes, lass?" He asked.

"Do you have any private forges? I'm working on something, and I don't want any people eying what I'm working on." Nirra said as the man thought for a second.

"We do have the VIP rooms downstairs; you can work there, but It'll cost ya extra." He then brought up a thick book from under his desk and opened it to a blank page.

"Just register yer adventure card, along with yer rank and signature, here. Then ye can choose how long ye would like to spend inside. It's 10 silver per hour," he said as he pointed at the black page.

"I'm guessing it's to track the adventurers who use your stations just in case the guild finds something funny?" Nirra guessed as the man nodded.

"Yer sure are smart, young lass." He smirked at this new customer. At least she's smarter than a lot of people who come to this forge.

"One more question before I write my credentials. Do you allow people to use their own special equipment inside the forge?" The man held his chin and thought for a minute.

"Yes, We do. In fact, we encourage our adventures to do just that, lass." he answered, which left Nirra slightly puzzled.

"Why?" She asked.

"I thought yer were smart, young lass. It's simple: the less time ye use our tools, the less work I spend maintaining them," He said as he crossed his arms and flashed a proud smile.

"I see," Nirra said.

"I'll come back later; I need to grab some of my equipment from the inn." Nirra said, to which the man gave her a nod of understanding.

"Sure thing, lass, come back alright?" He watched as Nirra was about to leave, but not before she gave him a nod.

When Nirra exited the building, she started running back towards the inn where she and her companions stayed. She ran down the winding path and back to the inn, where she noticed that her companions were still asleep. It was understandable, though, because light from the sun hasn't cast itself on the city yet.

She opened the door to her room and picked up the custom blacksmith hammer her father made and the electric motor she made, along with the different attachments that were used on them. She wrapped the motor in a cloth and placed it in a bag along with the attachments; she also placed the custom hammer inside the bag. She picked up her rifle and pistol and started the walk back to the market district.

When she arrived back inside the Dragon's Breath forge. She was met with the stares of adventurers not because of her body or her adventurer's uniform but because she carried a rather large backpack that looked like it was about to burst.

When she arrived back at the front desk, the same man who had welcomed her earlier gave out a loud and amused laugh.

"Hahahahaha, I guess I shouldn't have judged the book by the cover." He laughed as he placed the thick book from earlier on the desk.

"Same as before, young lass, Adventurer name, Rank, and yer signature," He said.

Nirra nodded and started writing her credentials, ending it off with her signature while still standing and her backpack still on her.

When she finished, the man took a look at what she had written and flashed a surprised look on his face.

"Hey, lass, Do you know the name Marcus Agustine?" He asked, still with a shocked look on his face.

"Yes, He's my father; why?" Nirra asked, puzzled.

"He has a daughter!? Why did he never tell me!?" He exclaimed, frustrated and a bit hurt.

"Why do you know my father?" Nirra asked, to which the man seemed to recover from his shock.

"Oh, we go way back; in fact, we learned how to be blacksmiths together and grew up formin an adventurerin party," He said with a nostalgic expression on his face.

"I see, you were from dad's adventuring party when he was still an adventurer," Nirra said, piecing their history together.

"Ya, he quit when he fell in love with the girl from the inn, and I said good bye to each other when we left. We never saw each other since then." He continued to explain with a slightly hurt expression.

"I see," Nirra said.

"I am happy for him though; now that's enough about me. Let's get ye that station ya rented," he said as he changed his expression to that akin to finishing work.

Nirra nodded as she gave the man 50 silver coins to work for five hours. Hopefully it'll be enough so she can make out the design of the double-barreled shotgun.

"Thank you, lass, now let's go downstairs to your VIP station," He said as he walked out from the front desk, his muscled figure hidden under his gray shirt, and his tall stature kind of dwarfing Nirra. Nirra stared at him with awe. Her cheecks flushed red while she stared at him. She shook her head breaking away from the thoughts about his body.

'Damn female hormones', She cursed under her breath.

"You can call me Hendrick; nice to meet ya." He introduced himself as they started walking down a hallway.

"Nirra," she answered back.

"Nice to meet ya, Nirra." They continued down the hallway, down some stairs that lead underground.
