She woke up the next morning and sat on her bed with a yawn and a stretch. She stood up to get ready for the day with the next goal in mind.

'since that rifle has both a longer range and more penetrating power than my lever action. I should make a scope to completely maximize the range. The only problem is, where can I buy glass pieces that are the correct thickness and size for a scope? ' she thought as she prepared for the day.

'maybe I can find a place where they can sell specifically crafted glass pieces. Since royals back in the 17th century liked their glass works, there is a chance that I'd find a shop that would sell me specific pieces. Or at the very least order a glass of a specified size and thickness.' She put on her casual wear with her revolver holstered on her hip. She then drew the parts she needed for the scope, which included six glass pieces that detailed their size and thickness.

Mofu was eating his breakfast of a nice slice of garlic bread when he noticed Nirra fully clothed and ready to go. As she was about to leave, the small fox jumped on her shoulder to say that he wanted to tag along.

"Mofu!"

Nirra patted the small fox on the head before they exited the room together.

Of course, she had to find a paladin to accompany her to the market district. Her sister wasn't available because she would be on her morning run with Ameria at this hour, but she should be back when the sun has fully cleared the horizon. Right now, the sun is barely peeking out of the horizon, which gives the surroundings a faint orange glow.

When they eventually arrived at the market district, with Paladin in tow, the large crowds of the morning rush would part away from where they walked. Mainly because none of them wanted to be in the way of a person being escorted by the church's famous Paladin order.

Nirra spent the last few hours wondering around the market district, trying to find a person who specializes in glass working. She then realized something, which made her stop walking.

'I should have checked the shopping district near the cathedral first… since glassware are considered a luxury at the time…' Nirra deeply sighed in her realization.

Now that the sun has almost cleared the horizon, Nirra sat out to find a store in the shopping district to find a store that works with glass. When she arrived, she noticed some details that she hadn't noticed when she passed by the place multiple times. The streets were made with much more shiny cobblestone, and not a single piece of dirt or trash was in sight. In fact, the shipping district looked more clean than the market district she passed by earlier.

'I hope the glass working store doesn't have that luxury clothing rule just to buy an item from them.' That thought came across just as she looked forward. When she did, she almost got run over by a passing carriage. Luckily, the Paladin placed his hand on her shoulder to prevent her from moving an inch forward and getting hit. The carriage did not stop, however, and kept speeding forward through the road.

"Ah, that was close. Thank you, Mr. Paladin." Nirra bowed to show her gratitude, but the large figure in front of her in white armor just nodded.

As she walked down the sidewalk, glancing at every store she walked past, she had a strange feeling that she was being watched from the rooftops, but when she looked at the building's roofs, there was no one to be found; she couldn't shake the feeling while she walked the street. It took her a few minutes until she found a store that looked like it specialized in glassware. The outside had displays of beautifully made, clear glass plates, each with intricate designs. When she entered, she heard a bell, to which a man from the counter in the back of the room greeted her.

"Welcome to my humble store."

She also saw some more uniquely designed plates hanging on the walls as displays, along with a selection of windows, both stained and clear, with patterns and designs.

Behind the counter was a man. He wore a decent-looking suit and tie combo, with accompanying white gloves and a perfectly maintained mustache. When his eyes fell on Nirra, he stared at her with disgust.

"I am sorry, ma'am, but this establishment only serves people of high blood, such as nobles and the royal family. Please come back when you have received the title of noble," he said with a bit of sting in his voice. When he looked past Nirra, his professional complexion suddenly faltered, his skin turned white, and his eyes were wide open.

He saw a Paladin, which meant two things. The person he was about to refuse any service to was a high-ranking official from the church, a bishop or a priestess. Or an important person whom the church has dispatched a Paladin to protect. Either way, he immediately composed himself with a cough.

"I am terribly sorry, madam. I did not know you were a person from the church. Please, as compensation, I will do your request for free." He bowed apologetically from behind the counter.

Nirra had already guessed what happened and played along with it. "It is alright, I only wish you would work on one simple thing for me."

"And what is your request, ma'am?" The store owner raised his head once again. He felt slightly relieved that he was being politely reassured.

"I want to request the creation of six glass circles. These are the specifications." She placed a piece of paper on the counter detailing her specifications.

The store owner took a look at her design and saw that she needed two types of lenses, a convex and a concave lens, along with four other glass circles with varying thickness. He was confused at one point and wondered why someone would order something this simple to make.

"Ma'am, are you positive that these are the things you request? Do you not require my services for more complex glassware?" he questioned.

"Yes, I am positive; I expect them to be done tomorrow or at least the day after tomorrow," Nirra answered.

"If you say so, then I accept your request. It shall be done tomorrow." He slid the paper that contained Nirra's specifications in a special tray that had other requests from people who came to order something from his store.

"I will come back tomorrow then." Nirra bid her farewell before she exited the store and walked back to the cathedral. There, she practiced some darkness spells to spend the extra time.
