[collapse](A/N To write about street-racing and drifting, I watched (listened) to some teaching videos to bring you better story depth. But I came across this one that made me laugh, so watch if you're interested.)
Chapter 18 Just Drive! by Harem-Fan
Soon the red Chevrolet Camaro SS arrived in front of one of the more popular dating and family restaurants, The Pasta-House.
I parked and asked Hana while holding my backup emergency kit.
"I bring this along for emergencies, but I have an extra, would you like-this one to keep in your car so you can take it with you when going out."
Hana, without pretense, took my field kit and said with a smile.
"This is ten times better than flowers, Rick. Let's go."
I get out and open the door for her. She even waits for me to do this and does not pretend to be one of those 'I can do it myself' women, but I like this actually. It makes me feel necessary.
When Hana took my left arm I had forgotten, but she noticed and looked at me in confusion, then felt my side with surprise. I hand her my wallet with my ID open to show my credentials.
"Don't worry, it's very legal for my new work. Sorry to surprise you like this. I am now an official Bodyguard with a contract and all."
Handing me my wallet back she smiled and asked.
"I am only surprised you're so young to be doing this work. Is this why you were beaten so badly last week?"
While the two of us wait to be seated I tell her.
"No, that was Scott Tang's side project of bullying me during school when I was alone and unable to do anything about it, but now things are different."
"You are not planning on using those to settle it are you?"
The server at this point takes us to our private two person table away from the big tables and gets our drink order. I drink coffee and Hana orders red-wine.
"Don't be delusional, I would not shoot him over this little bit of bullying, besides I have more than gotten my revenge on him. He just does not know it was me."
"So you already have work even as your school has not finished, what is it?"
The server came with the drinks and then asked for our orders. I order chicken and vegetable pasta and Hana gets a white-sauce dish.
"I have a one year contract that guarantees my 20 days of work minimum, and lasts for one year. Every day I work pays me 4000$ plus expenses. That means for this one year I am guaranteed a minimum of 80000$ for the smallest amount. The one that hired me was the young lady from the Feng Family, Tina Feng."
"That's a great deal, right? And does Tina Feng have other interests in you? Seems odd to spend so much on you is it not."
I drink my ice water and nod yes to her.
"She most definitely has plans for me, but it's not love, sex, or murder. I think I am a chess piece in some game between her and her father. But this and that are separated for me. I need the money for the family I am starting, and working for people you don't care about is one of those things I must do to support my loved ones."
(A/N I know some of you are like,'but he is a hacker and he can steal all the money in the world.' Sure if he was an unscrupulous person. He only took the ten thousand from Scott to pay back for all the beatings he endured. Now he wants to earn his money mostly honestly. This is partly this world's values of self worth compared to our modern Earth's lack of morals. Rick will only resort to stealing if he has no options left, it's his pride as a man.)
"I see, so she is not a woman you are also pursuing?"
I laugh at Hana and then wipe the tear in my eye, and announce. If this story is on any-other site than Scribble Hub, then it was stolen without permission!
"Hell to the no! The only thing Tina remotely has going for her is her looks. I admit, she is attractive, but that's where it ends. She is nothing but trouble, and her heart is not one I would consider. She is like a beautiful Sea-snake. Alluring and its bite will kill you, so no thanks. Plus I have had nothing but bad luck with nobles in my life."
"So Rick, why do you not ask me personal questions, like my age, or where I grew up, or even my love life? I am beginning to think you are not interested in my charms?"
I have not noticed, but I think I have not bothered to show interest in her, why?
"Sigh, You are right Hana, I have neglected you unintentionally. I think you're so amazing with your work and your looks, that I had an inferiority complex being around you. About your personal information? Mary said you were a good woman, so I didn't bother to dig into your secrets."
I look into her eyes of blue and continue.
"I wanted to know how old you are, but did not want to point out our age difference. I wanted to know how you became a doctor so young. I wanted to know what about me interested you to go out with me. And today I want to know why your garage is full of racing materials and a streetcar even though you're not really strong in it. See it sounds nosy, right? Honestly I had not expected us to have future relations after tonight, so I avoided you. But for tonight, let me know the real you."
Before she could respond our food arrived and then we slowly ate. Hana then answered my questions one by one.
"I recently turned 25 making me 7 years older than you, but I don't mind, due to finding you adorable. I graduated high-school at 14 and finished my medical school at the age of 20."
She looked at her pasta and took some bites then continued.
"My internship was here at Star General and I fell in love with Dr Chris Honda. He is 30 years old and the chief of plastic-surgery and like me he was a genius, so I thought we were alike. I was led to believe he truly loved me until one night I overheard him bragging to other male doctors about how he only loves my body and he was not in love with me. So I ended it with him, and he still works at the hospital. I have not dated in the last five years because of him."
We ate a bit more letting the silence linger till she was ready. After drinking more wine, she continued.
"So that is part of why I was interested in you. Except for hiding your knowledge of medicine, your honesty given to me was what I can never find in men. But you at least trusted me enough to come clean. Seeing you naked and being a young genius may have subconsciously attracted me to you as well. You're like a puzzle box and I want to uncover your wonders. Why do you get beat up when you're amazing at fighting? Why are you better than half the doctors in knowledge? Your driving, and many-more of your hidden secrets."
I nod while finishing my food, so she tells me the part of cars she secretly loves.
"Before I turned into a beautiful woman, I once met a sexy-model who started the race for professional drivers by dropping the starting flag, and I wanted to be that kind of woman, her long-legs, her allure, and her ability to stop the hearts of the crowd with her smile and charm. That of course led me to learn more about professional-racing. When I was driven as a passenger by the professionals, I fell in love with speed and the thrill of my heart pounding."
She reached over and pulled my left hand into her two soft hands, then said more.
"So I love dressing like this to be that woman I admired, though it brings the wrong attention most of the time, but you did not look at me like that. And driving with you made me feel alive again, like when I was younger. Even though I am an amateur I do try to drive as fast and safely as I can, but I can't go to the races without others coming with me due to the risk of being taken advantage of. So I live a fantasy of street racing and go to races with other nurses."
Sigh, I should not have heard her story after-all. I think I might really like Hana Chang. So I gently squeeze her hands holding mine and smile.
"How about this... Even if nothing happens between us, I will be your racing companion, if I am free, I am a real Bodyguard after-all, but I am expensive to hire."
She sits up letting go of my hand then pulls out her smartphone to show me an event happening at 11 pm tonight. She is giving me an illusion of a cute dog-girl with a wagging-tail and begging-eyes.
"Some of my coworkers are going to this street-run tonight, and can we go together, please~?!"
My lips twitched seeing how addicted she is like an idle-fan getting backstage passes to her favorite boy-band. She really is addicted to racing! So the miniskirt and sexy-outfits are all because of racing?

And with this new Hana dragging me along like she wants to get laid, I just pay this bill and we climb in the car. Closing her door I say to myself.
"This is the opposite of what I planned, right?"
