Chapter 325: Ch 316: Into the Gate with Harriet and Luna.

It's been several months. The story hasn't changed too much Itami is friends with Kyra since both are kindred spirits of Otakus. Kyra has given several speeches and lectures and often lets researchers and scientists from Niwaki come over to do the same.
Kyra also eventually convinced her grandparents to retire and move to Niwaki they readily did so when her grandfather saw earth was gearing up for a 3rd world war over the gate which will probably not happen(unless I take second place on the overall time powerstones for female mc.) it also helped that the mirror could be disabled and disconnected from the world at anytime.
"You have to stay here?" Harriet asks hugging Kyra.
"As much as I wanna come with you, I need to stay here as the ambassador and negotiator Ghira gave me this job and I plan on fulfilling it for now. Watch by the time you come back we will be in the UN." Kyra says while she is also there as a deterrent now that everyone knows creatures like dragons are real and magic is also real. Then Kyra who matches Yume's legend makes it to scary for people to act for now.
"Got it!" Harriet says as her and Luna go and stand behind the commander of the forces going in Harriet holding her scythe and Luna borrowed Kyra's world tree staff. 'Life and death... it might be a bit over kill to send them but oh well. Other hunters are joining aswell.' Kyra thinks as she looks around to see several of her graduated students next to a squad each. With the prerequisite of being able to hunt a Rathalos alone to join on this optional mission some of the best of the best are here.
'Right I should anchor the gate while it's here...' Kyra thinks as she takes over control of whatever had its loose grasp on the gate before anchoring it to the earth not allowing it to be removed without her letting it.
"I'm leaving my daughter with you Hazama, she is here as my observer and to watch over the hunters. She doesn't have to obey your commands but she is more than likely to help if you ask. Same goes for you officer Smith." Kyra says to the two commanders before she walks over next to the newly elected prime minister and the American general who is also here over seeing his troops go in.
"So, the language barrier?" The general asks
"Harriet and Luna shouldn't have a problem they know Latin fairly well." Kyra says
"Latin?" the prime minister asks.
"They were shouting some bastardized form of Latin the last world I saw like that had a Latin English mix for a language. Best guess is it's Latin and Greek mixed." Kyra says
"Any other proof?" The general asks
"Well their tactics... they were Roman tactics, formations, and gear. So my best guess is it's maybe an old part of the Roman Empire from when the gate last opened on earth a few thousand years ago." Kyra says
"Wait it closes?" The prime minister asks worried as the soldiers go in.
"It won't this time. I have methods I found out from my worlds mirror and used them to keep the gate here." Kyra says lying a little.
"I'm just happy America had forces to spare."Kyra says
"Why? From what you said Japan could've handled the other side of the gate." The prime Minister asks
Kyra glances at the American general before looking at the prime minister.
"Since America is involved it means there is more than the alliance that will make America protect you in the event you get invaded by China or Russia for them to try and take my mirror or take over the gate." Kyra says and watches the ministers eyes widen in horror.
It would've been even more likely since you just sent most your forces in to a place that's easy to defend against." Kyra says
"I honestly was hoping to get South Korea involved as well, but you guys still haven't apologized for invading them from WW2 and they still hate you for it." Kyra says as her tail sways calmly behind her.
Kyra suddenly pulls out a MP3 player and plays voice audio of the "president" of China saying he wants to send at least half their population through the gate.
The generals face pales along with the prime minister.
"I don't know but a defensive pact with the United States, Japan, and South Korea seems nice right about now. Maybe we could get the EU involved as well. I think that would deter them for now." Kyra says
"You just came out of a word war didn't you?" The prime minister asks remembering the intelligence reports.
"I lead my nation through a world war before setting up elections and establishing a proper government. Then I stepped down from the presidency. I am currently here as an ambassador and was given some other powers due to my position and being the one that possesses the mirror. That and the current president is my father in law." Kyra says
"And you can shoulder the loss of another war?" The American general asks
"Our losses weren't that much in the first place. Sadly the mirror can't fit our battle ships, destroyers, and carriers.. It should be able to send aircraft though." Kyra says
