Furano walked away from her place and also walked into the corridor. As Furano walked further, this corridor’s atmosphere became quieter again. The man Furano followed arrived before a beautifully carved black wooden double door with gold handles, then walked into the room. A metal board beside the door read “Storage Room for the Items of Black Magic.” Furano approached the door cautiously and entered the room.

Inside is a storage room for various objects containing or related to black magic. This room has a ceiling height equivalent to two stories of the building, containing high racks exceeding the height of the first floor of this room arranged in lines and rows at regular distances. These high racks displayed various objects such as swords, classical furniture, musical instruments, statues, books, etc. There are also archives that fill some of the high shelves in this room. The atmosphere in this room is dim, only lit by lamps installed in the many corners of the high racks and shelves here.

Furano immediately hid behind one of the corners of these racks and kept an eye on the man she was following, still walking further into the room. Furano followed him carefully, occasionally hiding behind the corner of the racks nearby. Finally, the man arrived at another storage room with a large metal door guarded by two men wearing suits covered with overcoats, loafers, and carrying the Existence Sword sheathed in the scabbard attached to the baldric in their waist. The man who Furano followed said.

“I came here to get the Book of Dimensional Magic’s copy and give it to Daganzo.”

One of the guards nodded.

“I’ve been told about that, go ahead.”

The man nodded, then turned the combination of the metal door password, and the sound of the door lock opening was heard. This man then drew his Existence Sword from its scabbard and used its blade to scratch and draw some pattern to the surface of this metal door. Not long after, the metal door opened. This man entered the room and left the metal door open. Furano drew her handgun from its holster behind her suit jacket.

“Stun.”

The pattern on Furano’s handgun glowed. Furano came out of her hiding place, aimed her handgun at the guard on the right, and shot him, making this guard shocked momentarily and then fall unconscious, startling the guard next to him, who immediately drew his sword. Furano immediately repeated the same magic spell and shot another guard on the left, which made him shocked momentarily and then fall unconscious while leaning against the wall behind him with his head bowed.

Hearing that there was a commotion outside the room, the man inside the storage room with the metal door drew his sword from its scabbard and walked towards the entrance of this room, but Furano had entered the room first and fired her handgun at this man who then shocked momentarily and fell unconscious to the floor. Furano put her handgun back into the holster behind her suit jacket.

Furano looked around her; the room behind the metal door was spacious and dim because it was only lit by wall lamps in several corners. The walls of this room are also carved with many magic circles on the wall, floor, and ceiling. Furano looked around the room with disturbed expression.

“This room filled with carved magic circles that hold black magic energy from these objects....”

This spacious room stores various objects on high racks and high shelves, such as dolls, statues, armor, floor mirrors, books, etc. Seeing these objects made Furano’s expression turn curious and surprised because she momentarily heard strange whispers filling the room. Furano could sense that she had some kind of bad feeling just from being in this room.

“This feeling... the objects in this room filled with black magic which is more dense and dangerous than the objects outside this room.”

Furano’s attention was then drawn to the bookshelf, displaying several books that had the same shape, the size of a notebook with a black cover. Furano walked over to this shelf.

Furano took one of these black-covered books from the shelf and checked the front and back covers, which did not have any writing or pictures, which surprised Furano slightly. Furano opened this book, and the first page of this book said, “Book of Dimensional Magic.” At the bottom of this page, it says. “Written by: The First Wizard”. Furano was surprised.

“Is this really the Book of Dimensional Magic?”

Furano opened this book, which contained various kinds of magic spells.

“There’s no mistaking it, this is indeed that book.”

Furano’s attention was drawn to the books with similar covers on this shelf. Furano checked several other books and found that all of these books had the same writing content. Furano appeared to realize something as she thought.

“There are many similar books with similar contents, are these books meant to be copies of the Book of Dimensional Magic? Why would they make copies of that books?”

Furano examined the book more carefully and found that on the second page, there was writing entitled “Guide for Wizards”:

“To use dimensional magic in this book, there are conditions that the wizard must meet:

First, every dimensional magic user should have a copy of this book.

Second, this book can be duplicated so that different wizards can use its magic spells.

Third, ownership of a copy of this book is gained by giving the Wizards’ blood to the Magic Circle after this page (possession can be removed by destroying the book’s copy).

Fourth, the magic on this book’s copy will not work if the original book has been destroyed.

Fifth, this book’s instructions for making tools, devices, or potions must not be written on a copy, or the dimensional magic can’t work.”

Furano’s expression changed to surprise as she read the writing on this page. Furano turned to the next page, and there was a drawing of Magic Circle.

“Somehow, the magic spells in this book has strange conditions that must be met before it can be used….”

Furano appeared to remember something; she opened the first page of this book again, and her attention was drawn to the words “Written by: The First Wizard” at the bottom.

“The First Wizard?”

Furano’s expression turned confused.

“It seems the First Wizard created this book, investigating the First Wizard might provide clues.”

Furano kept this book in the inner pocket of her suit jacket. Furano cautiously walked out of the storage room with the metal door, then headed towards the room’s entrance.

Arriving at the door just as Furano was about to open the entrance door, the door before Furano opened. The person who opened the door was Daganzo; they met each other’s eyes. Daganzo wears a tucked-in shirt, a tie, an overcoat, trousers, a belt, loafers, and the Existence Sword sheathed on the scabbard attached to the baldric at his waist. Furano was silent in her place, thinking about what she should do. Daganzo looked at Furano with a curious expression.

“Do you also have interests in this place?”

Furano appeared to realize something as she thought.

“Is he Daganzo, as that man said?”

Furano smiled.

“Right, I just joined the Scout Division, and got this book.”

Furano took a Book of Dimensional Magic’s copy with a black cover from behind her suit jacket and showed it to Daganzo, surprising him.

“So that’s the Book of Dimensional Magic’s copy. Okay, I’ll excuse myself.”

Furano smiled and nodded. Daganzo walked away from here, heading towards the storage room with a metal door. Furano watched Daganzo’s back as he walked away. Furano thought.

“I can’t let him find those unconscious people.”

Furano drew her handgun from its holster behind her suit jacket and aimed it at Daganzo’s back with a guilty expression. Daganzo realized something and stopped in his tracks, then turned around toward Furano as he said and smiled.

“May I know your name?”

Daganzo was surprised to see Furano aim her handgun at him, as well Furano, who was also surprised to see Daganzo turned around again. Furano said.

“Stun.”

The pattern on Furano’s handgun glowed, and Furano fired her handgun at Daganzo. Daganzo could immediately dodge and take cover on the high shelf beside him. Daganzo drew his sword from its scabbard as he thought.

“That wizard used some kind of handgun to use her magic; this is the first time I’ve ever seen it.”

Furano immediately took cover on a high shelf beside her and looked around her carefully. Furano aimed her handgun at the high rack on the right.

“Strong pull.”

The pattern on Furano’s handgun glowed; she fired it at the high rack on the right. Furano then pulled her handgun to the left, the rack on the right, then also being drawn to the left and fell onto another rack, toppling several racks and knocking many of the objects displayed on the falling racks, and causing some of these objects to be shattered. The shelf where Daganzo was taking cover fell toward him; he was surprised and quickly got out of the way and managed to evade. After blocking the way to the entrance, Furano ran out of the room and walked away with quickened paces along the corridor.
