Daganzo looked around him; he was in the hall with grayish-black walls and tall, sturdy carved gateways towards their front, back, right, and left. Daganzo’s expression turned confused.

“I still don’t see where the book is? Is the book in one of these gateways?”

Huelva nodded.

“Right, welcome to the next defense mechanism of the Book of Dimensional Magic storage room. The gateways you see around you are the path to a magical maze along ten floors down.”

Daganzo's expression turned astonished. Not long after, they heard a rumbling sound around them, as if something heavy was shifting and colliding with each other. Daganzo was surprised.

"What is that sound?"

Huelva answered.

“This magical maze is meant to be an obstacle that hard to pass; its shape will change every 50 minutes. This change will be like resetting your location in this maze to the position like you first entered it."

Daganzo was surprised.

"Is 50 minutes the time we need to finish this maze?”

Huelva nodded.

"Correct. If within 50 minutes you don't complete this maze, then you have to do it all over again. The Researcher Division has tested this place many times and completing this maze in 50 minutes is almost impossible.”

Daganzo's expression turned curious. Not long after, the rumbling sound around them quiet again. Daganzo looked around him curiously.

"We're not going to try to get through this maze on our own, are we?"

Huelva smiled.

“Of course not, we will be accompanied by a guide, and the trip to the maze exit will take around 15 minutes.”

Daganzo’s expression turned curious.

“Guide?”

Huelva nodded, drew his sword from the scabbard attached to the baldric around his waist, and pointed it at the magic circle under his feet.

“Sixth eye, show me the way.”

Not long after, some part of the floor in front of each gateway opened, and a broomstick flew up from inside it and then hovered; the floor then closed again. Daganzo was surprised to see these broomsticks floating before this gateway. Huelva walked to one of the broomsticks behind him.

“Whichever broomstick you ride, we’ll meet again at the end of this maze.”

Daganzo was surprised as he watched Huelva ride one of these broomsticks and fly through the gateway into the maze. Daganzo walked towards one of the floating broomsticks behind him. Daganzo got on this broomstick, and immediately after, this broomstick shot into the maze before him, surprising Daganzo and causing him to flinch back slightly and immediately stabilize his sit on the broomstick.

The broomstick that Daganzo was riding sped without him controlling it through the dim maze way before him decorated with sturdy carvings, past various turns, T-junctions, crossroads, and descending stairs. This broomstick moves quickly and stably because it knows which direction to go.

Finally, the broomstick that Daganzo was riding exited at another gateway and stopped suddenly so that his body flinched forward slightly. Daganzo was silent on his broomstick; he looked around and found himself in a rectangular open hallway with metal railings and rows of pillars decorated with sturdy carvings and the center was a spacious hall with a height of two floors down from this open hallway. Daganzo got off his broomstick with a deadpan expression. Daganzo looked down after the metal railing; this hall had glossy floors with a beautiful pattern and a lectern displaying a closed book with an illuminated carved patterned cover in the hall’s center.

Daganzo looked around; his attention was then drawn to the open hallway opposite where he was. Huelva waved at him, then gave a hand signal telling Daganzo to go down the stairs. Daganzo nodded; he then went down the stairs nearby and arrived at the bottom floor of the hall. Daganzo walked closer to the lectern in the center of the room, and Huelva did the same. Daganzo looked at the fairly large book before him, with a silverish-gray cover and glossy gold embossed patterns decorating it. Daganzo turned to Huelva.

“Is this the original Book of Dimensional Magic?”

Huelva nodded, his expression turning serious.

“That's right. As you can see, the golden glowing pattern on the cover of the book indicates that some of the magic spells of the book is currently active.”

Daganzo's expression turned confused.

“What if this book is destroyed? Will it deactivating the magic?”

Huelva’s expression turned doubtful.

“It is written in the explanation in the book that magic will not disappear even if this book is destroyed, because this book is just a container that connected to the magic spells within it.”

Daganzo’s expression turned astonished.

“Strange, then how are we going to stop the dimensional magic gates spell that connects the Earths in the multiverse?”

Huelva’s expression turned serious.

“That is something I want to discuss with you. Please open the book to the last pages.”

Daganzo’s expression turned curious; he then walked closer to the book and opened it.

Daganzo skimmed the contents of this book, which contained knowledge not only about dimensional magic but also magical devices and potions, most of the contents of which were unfamiliar to Daganzo. Daganzo opened the last page of this book, which was torn in most of the page, leaving only the title section, which read “Cancellation Spell.” Daganzo was surprised and turned to Huelva.

“This cancellation spell might be able to remove the open gates. But, why was this page torn?”

Huelva nodded.

“Yes, we are also aware of that possibility. But the problem is, we don’t know where the torned part of the page was, nor who tore it. From the moment the book was found, that page had been torn out.”

Daganzo nodded.

“Whoever who tore this page, might be able to give us a clue.”

Huelva nodded.

“That is also our duty, the Scout Division. You also have to look after the book, because if anything happens to the book, the resulting disaster could be very fatal. Who knows how long it will take for us to investigate, we have no choice but to hope for the cancellation magic spell.”

Daganzo’s expression turned serious.

“I understand, sir. I’ll do my best.”

Huelva smiled and nodded. Not long after, a momentary wind blast spread throughout the hall and centered on this book, surprising Huelva and Daganzo. Huelva immediately ran towards this book with a serious expression.

“What happened?”

Daganzo’s expression turned confused.

“I don’t know either, there was a sudden wind blast from this book.”

Huelva checked this book and found that there was writing appearing on the back cover of this book:

“Dimensional magic are being used by the wizard from more than one Earth. Magical adjustments need to be made, the dimensional gates will temporarily close and dimensional-related magic cannot be used until adjustments are completed.”

Huelva read this writing with a confused expression.

“This writing, what does it mean?”

Daganzo read this writing and was surprised; he then remembered Furano. Daganzo fell silent in thought.

“Could this be because she used dimensional magic?”

Huelva turned to Daganzo.

“There are no communication signals in here, we have to go back to the upper floors and report it.”

Daganzo came to his senses and then nodded. Huelva ran back to the broomstick he had ridden earlier, still hovering before the gateway of the maze path he was passed through; Daganzo also did the same. Their broomsticks then took them flying through the gateway to the maze before them to return to the top.

Back to a few hours ago. Alton wore his school uniform: a long-sleeved shirt, a tie, a school vest, a belt, a waist bag, trousers, and loafers. Alton was riding his broomsticks through the night sky quite high above the city as he was paying attention to his surroundings vigilantly after being chased by the First Earth Wizards, but Furano helped him escape.

“I should find a place to hide far away from First Earth wizards.”

Alton continued flying forward faster.

After flying for some time in the night sky, Alton arrived at a residential area on the city’s outskirts with various house designs. A two-way asphalt road connecting these houses, with sidewalks and shady trees at a regular distance at the side of the road. Alton took out his sheathed, bladeless soul dagger from inside his waist bag. Alton was alert and ready to use magic spells at any time. Alton flew low above this residential area and then stopped midair. Alton pointed his soul dagger forward.

“Search light.”

From the tip of Alton’s soul dagger, a small white ball of light resembling a flare formed and then floated before him. Alton pointed his soul dagger toward this light.

“Help me find a house whose occupants currently left.”

This light then flew through into the nearest house and, after a while, came out of the house and then penetrated other houses in turn. Alton watched this light for a while and then tried to examine other houses in a limited way from the outside, which was not penetrated by the search light magic spell.
