Daganzo’s expression turned doubtful.

“As we get closer to the city’s borders, there will be more and more wizards on guard, and they all use tracking devices. The magic wall also won’t be breached easily; you will be detected before you can get through.”

Furano appeared to realize something.

“In that case, I have an item that can block their magical tracking device.”

Daganzo was surprised; his expression then turned curious.

“I just remembered that I couldn’t track you with my tracking device before this?”

Furano nodded.

“The problem is the barrier; we should immediately look for a gap that we can pass through and get out of this city before they finish building it.”

Alton nodded. Daganzo was surprised, then smiled awkwardly.

“Okay, if you’re sure...”

Daganzo appeared to realize something.

“I’d better also leave; if anything needs to be discussed, you can contact me anytime.”

Alton and Furano nodded. They stood up from their seats. Daganzo took his broomstick that leaning on another table nearby, and then got on it.

“Okay, see you later.”

Furano smiled and nodded. Alton crossed his arms and grinned, then nodded, making Daganzo also grin at him. Daganzo then flew away from here. Furano pulled out her cloak and broomstick from inside the black panel, then put on her cloak. Alton watched Furano curiously, then took his broomstick that leaning on one of the metal round tables nearby, then got on it. They rode their broomsticks and flew from here.

Alton and Furano flew while observing their surroundings vigilantly and several times almost ran into the First Earth Wizards Department of Defense. Furano was alert; she saw several First Earth wizards riding their flying broomsticks on patrol from several directions. Furano gave a hand signal to Alton; they stopped midair and flew down, landed on the six-story building’s rooftop, and then hid behind the wall of the small building with a single-door entrance. Furano drew her handgun from the holster attached to the baldric on her waist and watched the sky warily. Several First Earth wizards rode on their broomsticks and flew across the sky. Furano waited until all the patrolling wizards had crossed the sky, passed them, and continued to fly further away. Furano and Alton came out of their hiding place. Alton smiled with a slightly disturbed expression.

“Somehow, I feel like I’m getting used to this....”

Furano nodded, she then put her handgun back into the holster. Furano appeared to remember something; she then walked to the concrete railing of this rooftop and saw in the distance that the entire outskirts area of this city had been enclosed by Glass Walls magic spells, with dozens of wizards patrolling around at a distance. Furano was surprised.

“Glass Walls have already blocked this part of the city, too.”

Alton walked beside Furano and looked at the Glass Walls in the distance with a disturbed expression.

“This is the third place we have tried to go to, and Glass Walls have blocked it. I didn’t expect the situation to be worse than I thought....”

Furano’s expression turned disturbed.

“You’re right; we should try to carefully circle around the city’s outskirts and see if there are any gaps we might miss.”

Furano walked away from here. Alton said.

“I have an idea.”

Furano stopped in her tracks, then turned to Alton. Alton resumed speaking.

“It’s better if we just split up in both directions, considering the distance we have to check.”

Furano looked doubtful; she then nodded.

“Good idea. But we must be more careful than before because we won’t be able to help each other. You can contact me anytime if there is a problem.”

Alton smiled and nodded.

“Okay, leave it to me.”

They got on their respective broomsticks and flew away in opposite directions along the Glass wall. Alton rode his flying broomstick while observing the Glass Walls to his right with a serious expression. On the other hand, Furano rode her flying broomstick in the opposite direction while observing the Glass Wall to her left and being aware of her surroundings.

Sometime later, it was 6:00 pm. The sky was dim and getting darker. After several hours of riding their flying broomstick around the city’s outskirts, Alton and Furano finally ran into each other again. Furano’s expression looked disappointed.

“I didn’t find any gaps in these Glass Walls; what about you?”

Alton shook his head.

“Me neither; looks like we’ll be trapped here for a while?”

Furano’s expression showed that something was bothering her.

“They built these Glass Walls very quickly because of the large number of personnel they have.”

Alton nodded.

“I think that’s probably because most of the wizards in this country came here to help.”

Furano nodded.

“At this rate, our only way out is the Dimensional Gate that appeared in this city.”

Alton appeared to realize something.

“I already searched this city and investigated the gate’s existence to return to Second Earth before because the gate that appeared in England was too far from my reach. But I haven’t managed to find it.”

Furano nodded.

“I also still didn’t sense the existence of Dimensional Gate using my magical ability. The Wizards Government of Spain was the first to try the magic spells in that book; that Gate could be anywhere in this country. Let’s hope that the Gate is in this city.”

Alton nodded; he then appeared to realize something.

“I think Daganzo knows something about the location of that Gate. Let’s ask him.”

Furano nodded. Not long after, Alton’s stomach growled, surprised Furano slightly.

“Let’s talk about it over dinner....”

Furano smiled and nodded.

“Good idea.”

They then flew away from here.

The time was 7:30 pm. Furano had taken off her cloak, and Alton were in a restaurant with rows of groups of two sofas facing each other with tables between them, short wooden partition walls separating these tables, arranged neatly along a row of rectangular metal framed window panes with a double door entrance. In the middle of the restaurant room was a neat arrangement of square tables with four chairs facing each other.

Furano and Alton had just started their dinner while being alert to the presence of First Earth wizards. Furano stopped her dinner and then took out her smartphone from inside the pocket of her trousers.

“I’d better call Daganzo now.”

Alton nodded. Not long after, the call to Daganzo is connected.

Wizards Government of Spain central building.

Daganzo was in one of the waiting rooms on the 50th floor. This room is in a modern classic style with a ceiling decorated with beautiful carvings and lights. Several groups of long couches and single couches surrounded a short table in the middle, and a carpet underneath was arranged neatly along this room’s tall metal framed window panes. Daganzo sat alone on one of the long couches while reading documents with a bored expression. Not long after, Daganzo’s smartphone rang; he then took out his smartphone from the inner pocket of his overcoat. Daganzo looked at his smartphone screen and was slightly surprised to find out that Furano called him. Daganzo looked around warily and found that he was the only one in this room. Daganzo answered the phone.

“Did you guys manage to get anything?”

Furano answered.

“Alton and I did scouting in the last few hours and found that this entire city has been enclosed with Glass Wall magic.”

Daganzo was surprised.

“They built the Glass Wall quite quickly because there was help from Defense personnel across the country.”

Furano’s expression turned disturbed.

“Yes, this situation might become even more dangerous. The only way out of this city is through the Dimensional Gates; we just need to wait for the gate to open again. But the problem is, we don’t know where that gate is located..”

Daganzo’s expression turned serious.

“I didn’t know where the gate was before, but now that I’m a Scout Division member, I can find out. I’ll let you know soon.”

They then ended their respective calls. Alton’s expression turned deadpan.

“I wonder what would happen if those sword-wielding wizards caught us.”

Furano was slightly surprised and stopped her dinner.

“They might never release us.”

Alton was surprised.

“Most likely, that’s what will happen….”

They then continued their dinner.

Sometime later, Furano’s smartphone rang and caught her attention. Furano took out her smartphone from the pocket of her trousers. Furano’s smartphone screen showed that Daganzo was the contact who called her, which surprised her slightly.

“It’s a call from Daganzo; he might have the information we need.”

Alton nodded with a curious expression.

Wizards Government of Spain, central building.

Back to some time ago, the time was 7:45 pm. Daganzo walked along the corridor on the 50th floor with a curious expression.

“Where can I find out information about the dimensional gate location?”

Daganzo walked past a man wearing a suit covered with an overcoat, loafers, and an existence sword sheathed in a scabbard at his waist. Daganzo stopped in his tracks and smiled to greet this man.

“I’m a new member of the Scout Division. Nice to meet you.”
