This man nodded.

“If you are looking for the Dimensional Gate, just follow the main corridor, and you will arrive at a tall black metal double door; the Dimensional Gate is in that room.”

Daganzo smiled and nodded.

“Thank you, I’ll excuse myself.”

This man nodded.

“You’re welcome.”

Daganzo walked away towards the main corridor on this floor, which was the widest among the other corridors.

Daganzo walked along this corridor, which was quite busy with people from the Researcher Division, most of whom wore suits covered with lab coats and loafers. Daganzo arrived at a tall, black metal double door decorated with sturdy carvings on the door. Daganzo looked at this door in amazement. Daganzo tried to open the door before him, but it wouldn’t open, no matter how hard he tried to push it.

“Is this door locked?”

Daganzo’s expression turned astonished. Not long after, a man’s voice was heard from beside him.

“You want to go into that room?”

Daganzo was surprised and turned to the source of this voice. A man in his 40s stood looking at him with a smile. This man was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, a waistcoat, a tie, trousers, a belt, loafers, a knee-length lab coat, an existence sword sheathed in a scabbard attached to the baldric at his waist, and his hair was neatly styled but elegant. This man is the leader of the Researcher Division. Daganzo was surprised as he thought.

“Since when did this man stand near me?”

Daganzo smiled.

“Let me introduce myself; I am Daganzo Navalon, a new member of the Scout Division. Today is my first day on duty.”

The leader was slightly surprised, then smiled.

“Welcome, I am the Leader of the Researcher Division.”

Daganzo was surprised as he thought.

“The leader? This is the first time I’ve ever met him in person….”

Daganzo smiled.

“Sorry, I didn’t realize it sooner, sir.”

The leader smiled.

“It’s okay. Is there anything you need here?”

Daganzo nodded.

“Yes, I want to enter this room and see the dimensional gate. But it seems this door is locked.”

The leader’s expression turned curious.

“Alright then.”

The leader walked to this door and stood before it. He drew his sword from the baldric at his waist and then drew a pattern on this door using the tip of his sword. Not long after, the carvings on this door began to move to form another shape and then opened slightly inward. The leader pushed the thick door before him and entered the room, followed by Daganzo.

Inside was a spacious room with a high ceiling that combined the height of two building stories. The room was dark, with something quite bright at the end of the room. On a surface higher than the floor of this room with a short staircase, there are four pillars with lights that shine towards a tall metal double gate with embossed patterns decorating it and a gateway decorated with beautiful carvings. This gate was almost the same height as one story of this building, and paper-like pieces kept disintegrating and disappearing from all over the gateway. Daganzo’s attention was drawn to this tall gate; he walked towards it with the leader.

“So, this is the Dimensional Gate that takes us to Second Earth?”

The leader nodded.

“That’s right, it’s amazing, isn’t it? This gate has been here since the first time the Dimensional Gates Magic Spell was used.”

Daganzo’s expression turned curious.

“This gate is closed; is it unknown how to open it?”

The leader nodded.

“Yes, this is the first time this gate has closed.”

Daganzo’s expression changed to astonishment.

“Isn’t there a way to open it?”

The leader shook his head.

“If there were such a way, we would have succeeded in opening it.”

Daganzo nodded.

“Alright, that’s all I want to know, sir.”

They both then walked out of the room.

Back to Furano and Alton, they were still at the restaurant. Furano is reading her investigation files on her smartphone. Alton sat beside her, still asleep, using his crossed arms on the table as pillows. Sometime later, two men wearing suits covered with overcoats and loafers walked into this restaurant, with one of their comrades standing guard before the restaurant; they were wizards’ defense personnel of Spain. The wizard standing outside the restaurant looked at the tracking device in his left hand, with a shape resembling a pocket watch that had a magic circle that pointed to this restaurant, but not specifically to which part of the restaurant, and also swayed to the building next door right and left of the restaurant, making this wizard look at his tracking device with a slightly confused expression.

Their arrival attracted Furano’s attention because they carried swords sheathed in scabbards attached to baldrics at their waists. Not long after, a black panel with white writing appeared before Furano:

[*New Quest Available (Urgent quest, will be accepted automatically)]

[Quest Details: Survive or escape from the First Earth wizards

Additional quest: Team up with the lost wizard to complete the quest

Quest requirements: None

Time remaining to accept the quest: None]

[Minimize]

Furano was surprised to read this black panel, then touched the word [Minimize], and this black panel vanished.

The two defense personnel looked around them momentarily, then walked towards the cashier counter. Furano was surprised; she woke Alton beside her in a hushed tone while patting his back gently.

“Wake up, Alton.”

Not long after, Alton woke up with a sleepy expression while still using his arms as a pillow.

“I’m still sleepy….”

Furano smiled.

“We have to get out of here, Alton. The First Earth wizards are here.”

Alton took a sitting position with a sleepy expression and looked at those First Earth wizards in the distance. Alton was surprised and answered in a hushed tone.

“We have to get out of here quickly.”

Furano nodded.

Back to the two defense personnel they arrived before the cashier, who looked at them with a slightly surprised expression.

“Can I help you, sir?”

One of the defense personnel took out an ID card from the inner pocket of his overcoat and showed it to the cashier as he spoke.

“We are from the police. I want to ask you something.”

The cashier looked at this ID and was slightly surprised.

“Yes, of course, sir.”

The wizard put away his ID, then took out the pictures of Furano and Alton from the inner pocket of his overcoat and showed it to the cashier.

“We are looking for these people. Have you ever seen them?”

The cashier was surprised because he was familiar with them.

“Oh, they ordered food and sat at the table over there.”

The cashier pointed at the table he was referring to, but Furano and Alton were no longer sitting there, surprising the cashier slightly. These two defense personnel immediately ran to Furano and Alton’s table, only to find they were already gone with their dinner half-eaten and money left to pay for it. One of these defense personnel contacted his comrades using the single earphone in his right ear.

“Surround this restaurant.”

The two defense personnel looked around them but still did not find Furano and Alton’s whereabouts; their attention was then drawn to the double doors leading to the kitchen with a medium-sized circle-shaped window.

Inside the kitchen is a spacious kitchen room with various kinds of kitchen furniture arranged in long rows. Furano walked across the middle of this kitchen as she drew her handgun of spellcaster from the holster attached to the baldric at her waist, and Alton walked as he took out his sheathed, bladeless soul dagger from his waist bag. They both looked alert and ready to attack with magic spells. Alton and Furano’s presence attracted the attention of the restaurant employees carrying out their various jobs, and they looked at them with astonished and confused expressions. Furano and Alton headed towards the door leading to the restaurant’s back. As they approached the restaurant’s back door, they were surprised by a male wizard defense personnel wearing a suit covered with an overcoat and loafers entering from the kitchen’s back door while carrying an Existence sword in his right hand. Seeing Furano and Alton, this defense personnel was surprised and immediately pointed his sword at Alton.

“Stun!”

A light resembled a flare, then shot from the tip of his sword towards Alton. Alton, who had predicted that immediately evaded to the right and hid behind a row of kitchen cabinets in the middle of the kitchen. The defense personnel’s magic spell just hit the wall and billowed smoke momentarily. This defense personnel shooting his magic spell at Alton caught him off guard, and he didn’t realize that Furano was aiming her handgun at him.

“Stun.”

The pattern on Furano’s handgun glowed; she then fired her handgun. A light resembled a flare shot from Furano’s handgun and hit this defense personnel, causing him to fall unconscious. Alton immediately came out of his hiding place and approached Furano.

“That was close.”

Furano nodded. Not long after, two male defense personnel from inside the restaurant’s room opened the kitchen entrance and found Furano and Alton. Furano and Alton were surprised and prepared to attack with magic, as were these two defense personnel. However, what just happened panicked the restaurant’s employees, who ran out of the kitchen towards the restaurant’s room and blocked the two defense personnel. Furano and Alton use this opportunity to run out of this restaurant through the back door in the kitchen.
