They made their way to Little River, which was a slightly larger town than the previous town. On the way, Yue heard that Ken didn't lose everything below his waist, as he and Emerald got up to quite some business.

Two guards stood at the gates, wearing long robes with the town lord's crest, a white eagle.

"Halt! State your intentions!" The guards looked to see Yue currently leading caravan, the horses had scattered previously, but Emerald was able to rein them in with ease.

"I am Yue Glow, a merchant, and I am traveling with an Arrayist and an Alchemist. We have come to sell wares." She smiled warmly towards the guard.

"An Arrayish and an Alchemist?" They exchanged suspicious glances between one another. This combination was highly unlikely.

However, Yue was smart enough to know how to assuage their suspicions, and tossed over a set of pills, ten low grade earth and two middle grade earth. "The Arrayist has used his arrays to protect the wagon and apologises for the inconvenience. Please take the pills as a gift for the Town Lord."

"We thank the Arrayist and the Alchemist for their gift,” they replied back, unable to press beyond this, otherwise they’d risk displeasing the pair. “Please enter."

Yue first made her way towards the market and traded a set of pills for a wheelchair. Ken was finally able to move around in a less embarrassing manner, being wheeled around by Yue. It would have to do for now.

They would need at least two guards, though three would be much better. For now, Emerald would take the role of a guard as well, as most Alchemists would often be quite powerful.

Both Ken and Emerald hid their identities using outfits which they had found in the rings, which covered their faces along with their entire bodies. They had found quite some coin too, though Yue would need to sell some of their pills to the commerce pavilion.

They settled in for the inn first, and Emerald assisted Ken around considering his lack of mobility.

"How will I be able to get rid of this cripple status? I don't like it." Ken sighed.

[[Use it to your advantage. Make your enemies believe you are weak, and then bite them once they've lowered their guard.]]

"What a terrible thing,” he said. “I don’t like it one bit.”

[[For now, learn the arrays this queen is teaching you. Worry about such things later.]]

Ken sent the other two out to sell off the pills as well as to get some equipment to allow him to create arrays. The equipment they bought was more than good enough to create basic arrays, and news would spread that such items were bought.

"We should auction the high grade pills,” Yue said.

"How much would the commerce give us?" Ken asked, wondering if he could instead create a connection with the commerce pavilion.

"Ten gold for each high grade pill, around one gold for each middle grade pill."

"Sell them to the commerce pavilion."

"You'll be leaving money on the table!" Yue gasped. How could he think about losing so much money?

"That's fine. I want nothing to do with the auction pavilion from now on, not until I get my revenge.” Then he saw the look on Yue’s face and he sighed. “I will personally go and speak with the commerce pavilion. If they treat me well, then we'll sell the pills there, if they don't, then I'll head to the auction."

"Very well,” Yue said, sighing. She could taste the loss of gold.

They went to bed first, the day had been quite long. They each shared a single room, though with two beds. Ken slept with Emerald, who held his head to her bosom. His hands would roam her body throughout the night.

Even though he was a cripple and a waste, Emerald didn't abandon him. When he finished with his revenge, he would make sure to reward her, and he’d need to treat her properly.

When they woke up in the morning, Emerald tended to Ken with her hands and lips. She was making sure their supply of pills was steady so she made sure to milk him daily. When he was finally bathed and dressed, Yue led him to eat breakfast.

"We will head to the commerce pavilion and then the slave market," Ken stated.

"Slave market?" Yue asked.

"We'll buy a slave guard. I also need to look for someone who is a..." Ken cleared his throat. He had recalled what the goddess had told him about regaining his body.

They finished their breakfast, which Ken couldn't taste very well due to his bitterness, and then made their way to the commerce pavilion. It was a large building, one made of marble and wood.

There was a woman who walked over to them and bowed. "I am Lila. How may I assist you?" She was tall and thin, a pretty woman with black hair and black eyes.

"We have some items we wish to sell," Yue said, smiling at her.

"Please follow me." She led them to a back room and poured them some tea, going through the motions.

Then came the Appraiser, a woman who was quite old and thin, but very tall. Ken wondered if all Appraisers were older, thin, and tall.

"May I see the pills?" she asked, her tone very polite, though her eyes were scanning the trio like a hawk.

Yue handed them over to the Appraiser, who scanned them with her keen sight. She rolled the pills all around, making sure to see every single spot.

"These are such wonderful high grade earth pills,” she said. “We can buy this set of five for fifty gold coins.”

Ken tapped the table and Yue retrieved the pills and then placed down ten middle grade pills. The Appraiser appraised them as well, rolling each between her fingers.

"These are also wonderful. We can offer ten gold for this set of ten middle grade earth pills."

Ken tapped the table and pills were received by Yue, who then placed down ten low grade earth pills. The process repeated, with the Appraiser offering a single gold coin for ten pills.

Ken tapped the table and Yue retrieved the pills, and the Appraiser understood that Ken was in charge.

"I would like an additional 20% on top of what you're offering for these pills. I'm sure you, who have such a good eye, understand why." Ken did not move as he spoke, though the Appraiser could barely see his eyes.

"One gold for each middle grade earth pills, and ten gold for each high grade earth pills is the standard rate, sir.”

"For these pills as well?" Ken asked.

"..." The woman understood why Ken was asking for more, these pills were quite extraordinary.

"What a shame. I had planned on exclusively selling them to the commerce pavilion."

[What?]

The older woman was surprised, having not expected that he had come with such intentions. If she had known, she certainly would have offered more.

"Since that’s the best you can do, I'll hand over this set to you and then take the rest of my business to the auction pavilion from now on."

"Young sir, would you be willing to wait a moment?” She asked quickly, smiling nervously. “I will call for the Commerce Head."

"Since you've brought out such lovely tea, I suppose I can." Ken sipped the tea, tasting how sweet it was. It tasted a little like cherry.

He smiled once she left, thinking about how he had been quite bold. This would give him some leverage over the Appraiser, and show the commerce pavilion that he meant business.
