Sora was fighting with Dark Rukia who started to pressure him for real, he kept wondering if this goes on how the hell he will manage to save the three of them.
Therefore he took it a bit more personally and as they were slashing at each other he wounded Dark Rukia in her arm which was healed instantly.

Renji was moving towards the machine and with his Hihiō Zabimaru, he was destroying several more manta rays.
He also notes that they keep coming endlessly and yelled at Sora to finish this up faster... Sora who heard him while continued to fight against Rukia knew that reinforcements will come and yelled back at him to calm down...
As she continues to attack him, Sora leapt away and it was then that he noticed blood dripping down his hand.

Just as Sora started to really feel the pressure from her making him raise his power and tad bit more each time her scythe phased through his sword.
Sora having no problem at all with the scythes effect as he leapt back, he expressed joy as the Reiatsu around Rukia separated into strands, revealing Rukia's eyes to have turned completely black.
Meanwhile, Kyouka, Soi Fon, Ukitake, and Shunsui appeared together. Stating it is not going well, for the monster is too big, Ukitake said they are not going to make any progress until they destroy the device in the lab tower.
Kyouka: "We cannot get to the lab tower with the monster in the way, we will have to at least rid of...."
Before he finished his words another yellow Reiatsu flared up near the monster which cut one of the legs.
Kyouka: "Rid of one of its legs...."
As Shunsui wonders what was going on there, they started hearing Kenpachi laugh manically as he destroyed more tentacles alongside Ikkaku and Yumichika.
At that moment Byakuya appeared with Shunpo and released his Zanpakutō, Senbonzakura before creating a tunnel of whirling blades.
Byakuya: "I'm going there first."
As Shunsui stated he is counting on him, he leapt through the tunnel. As it vanished, several tentacles burst out of the ground around them, making all of them disperse in order to dodge.
At that moment 2 voice was heard with different results...
Hitsugaya: "Bankai : Daiguren Hyorinmaru!!!!"
Mayuri: "Bankai: Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō"
Hitsugaya who activated his Bankai, Daiguren Hyōrinmaru, froze every tentacle in the air, while Mayuri made his Bankai rush and poison the snakes, manta and tentacles which started melting.
