"Are you ready?" Captain Aigasaki asked him as soon as he entered the private lounge. He was drinking his coffee and eating a croissant.

"You'll have a different co-pilot this time. I need to catch with some office works during the flight," he informed him as he grabbed himself a cup of coffee.

"Yes, The poor boy is in the bathroom. He's quite nervous to be on the same plane as his boss on his first day on the job." he softly chuckled.

"Keep it that way, it makes my life easier." he grinned full of mischief.

"You're making this old man lie? How's the little brat?"

"We've been doing this for a while, but leaving her behind does not make it any easier." he sighed.

The old pilot just nodded his head. He couldn't offer his employer any words of comfort. Things are complicated.

"Let's go home!" he said, pulling his hand-carry suitcase to the hangar where the Dassault Falcon 7X is waiting to bring them home.

His secretary, Antonio is waiting for him on the flight. Along with the two flight attendants on the payroll, they ensure that every flight is comfortable for its passengers. Together with Captain Aigasaki, the pilot.

Capt. Aigasaki has been working with his father, however now that his father is no longer taking a lot of traveling for business, and he had to fly long haul due to the situation with his daughter, Captain Aigasaki is now his full-time pilot. He hired a new pilot assistant because he wanted to use his time to do some work during the flight than being Captain Aigasaki's co-pilot.

His secretary is standing rigidly straight next to a pullout table with a mountain of documents waiting for him.

"Antonio, it is going to be a long night," he said as he sat down to start perusing through the documents that are waiting for him to be signed.

"Indeed sir. The flight home is going to be a long one," he said, handing him his work phone.

He put down the phone inside his coat pocket and forgot about it until he was almost halfway down reading and signing the documents Antonio prepared for him.

He was feeling the cramps on his legs and the muscle of his back was starting to get numb. He put down his pen and decided to stand up to stretch his legs.

"Is there anything you need, sir?" One of the flight attendants asked when he stood up.

"What is your name?" he glanced over at the cabin attendant. She is quite attractive, he noted, smirking inwardly.

"Amara, sir," she answered in a professional tone.

"Amara. That's a pretty name. A glass of bourbon, please."

He went to the restroom to relieve himself. While on it he decided to check the messages on his phone. While he was scrolling on the messages, he saw a voicemail from Jess. He knitted his eyebrows on what could be the possible reason for her to send him a message.

He zipped his pants and washed his hands on the lavatory and play the message. He played it once and again,... and again. He cocked his head on his reflection in the mirror as he shook off the water in his hands before putting them under the hand dryer.

He wondered if Jess dialed his number wrongly. It was her voice, and he could clearly hear the message she was yelling.

He clenched his jaw in annoyance. Who was the bastard that took her to bed and thought that she was bad in it? He wanted to bash the face of whoever that jerk is!

He grabbed his phone and played the message again. 'Is she drunk?', he wondered.

Noah couldn't explain why the voice message put him in a terrible mood that he ended up asking for another glass of bourbon.

He glanced on his wristwatch cursing how the time moved too slow. He wanted to see Jess and asked her, what the hell she was thinking drunk calling an asshole. She deserves a better man!

He was in an awful mood for the duration of the flight home. He wanted to call Jess to talk to her about the voice message she left on his number. However, thinking that she was drunk, and sent him the message by mistake. Surely she feels terrible having realized her error.

She is a fine-looking woman. Smart and with all that sass. How could she allow a bastard to take advantage of her, he was visibly furious, or was it anger? Why is he so invested in Jess' love life.

It is nothing but guilt that is bubbling in his chest, as he had forgotten that they knew each other. They had met during a strong storm that hit Los Angeles. That hell-storm halted and delayed most of the flights during the busiest time of the year.

That was the reason he gave himself, and he was going to stick with it.

It is unlikely that he has a romantic interest in her. She is far from his type. Although he is not denying the fact that she is a very interesting and alluring woman.

He played the message on his phone to listen to her voicemail again. It pissed him off, but at the same time, he found it hilarious. For he is quite sure, that Miss Zimmerman is not someone that would be terrible in bed.

Her fierce competitiveness made him smirk at the thought that she would be awful in bed. He has a feeling that she is a go-getter even in bed. A stirring in his groin brought him out of his imagination of Miss Zimmerman and a bed.

He continues to scrawl his signature on the remaining documents in front of him.

"Antonio."

"Sir?" He asked alert and ready to fulfill any order from his boss.

"Get Miss Zimmerman information. The things about her that are not written in her resume."

He told himself he needed a background check on Miss Zimmerman because she was one of the top contenders being considered to get hired by his company.
