"Call the laboratory and look for Jess," he snarled at Antonio, who hasn't recovered from the shock. "And forget about tendering your resignation."

Antonio shakily stood up from the couch to make some calls to correct the fucked up misunderstanding. He hoped to God that it would get fixed as soon as possible before Noah could kill him.

"You cannot blame your very efficient secretary for your slip," Markus said, stressing on the word very.

Noah just glared at him as he continued pacing around the floor, phone pressed tightly on his ear, still trying to contact Jess and Luke. But none of them answered his calls.

He was slowly losing his mind. He wanted to blame Stellar for her unorthodox way of 'fixing' his memory lapses. But he was the one who reached out to her despite knowing that that's how she does things. So, it wasn't her fault but his.

He wanted to blame Antonio but he couldn't because just as Markus said he was very efficient.

He was at fault for writing the note in the same way he usually does in the past when he wants Antonio to buy a gift for all the women he had played with and doesn't want to see anymore.

His excuse was he wrote the said note when he was reading some important documents whilst controlling himself not to contact Jess.

He wasn't thinking clearly that Antonio would interpret it as he was telling him to buy Jess a parting gift. The fact that he had asked him to book him a table for two the night before in his favorite French restaurant, and then, a brunch date today.

He couldn't blame him when he thought he had already moved on to the next girl because that's how he did things --before Jess.

Those things were in the past. He has no plan to play around with other women other than Jess. But, Antonio doesn't know that. Thus, he acted as he used to.

He, now, wanted to kill himself!

"Sir, Jess and Luke left the building before twelve today and didn't return."

Antonio was standing stiffly next to his office desk. He knew Noah couldn't really blame him for the huge misunderstanding, still, he was feeling guilty. Not because of Noah, but with Jess.

'It must be painful for Miss Zimmerman to be treated in that manner. She was dismissed as one of those girls.'

Antonio took a deep sigh and considered writing his resignation again, but he knew that if he did that Noah would kill him.

"If Jess left the lab, where would she go," he mumbled as he paced around the room with his hands on his hips.

"Where does she usually go?" Markus asked, trying to help him think.

He abruptly stopped from circling around, "I - I honestly don't know." he said. He was hit by the realization that there were a lot of things that he didn't know about Jess.

He had her investigated before. He had all her personal information, but he doesn't know where Jess would go when she was hurt or broken hearted, or angry, or murderous — because he deserved killing.

He relied on those pages of information about her life. He didn't take enough time to know her on a deeper level.

"Stupid! You are stupid, Noah!" He scolded himself as he returned to pacing the room.

Watching Noah, Markus scoffed and shook his head, "Why don't you go out and find her while I and your VERY efficient secretary take care of what I must do here."

"I'm sorry, Markus — can I…"

"Yeah, go. I mean most of the reports I was supposed to report to you about the new plant and laboratory in Mumbai are good news...Antonio and I can handle it."

Noah grabbed his coat from the couch and looked at Markus. He was still hesitant to leave the office. The newly acquired plant and laboratory in Mumbai are going to play an important role with his plan to successfully assume the CEO position from his father.

"Even if you stay, you are just going to be useless," he smirked at the hesitant Noah. "I'll do overtime, just make sure to introduce me to this Miss Zimmerman who is making you crazy."

Noah grabbed Markus in a bear hug, "Thank you. Count this in your list of what I owe you," he slapped his back and jogged out of his office.

Markus and Antonio watched Noah disappear like a thief on the run.

"You are right, Antonio. Noah is being weird. But believe me, it is in a good way," he said, picking up the first folder on the pile, sighing, 'This is going to be a long  day.'

"Do you think Miss Zimmerman would forgive Noah if I write an apology letter, taking the blame?"

Markus roared in laughter, "Antonio, Antonio. Have faith in your boss's charisma." he coughed as he choked on his own saliva from laughing too hard.

"You have no idea about Little Miss Jessie," he mumbled under his breath. He sat across Markus and opened his laptop to start working. He has to work harder to make amends to Noah for his mistakes.

"Little Miss Jessie?" he chortled. "This is the same girl as Miss Zimmerman?" he asked, chuckling lightly. "It seemed like it was not just Noah that fancy this Miss Zimmerman but you too, Antonio."

"Everyone likes Miss Zimmerman," he said in a tone with a hint of defensiveness. "I mean, us - all of us. Jin, Soraya, and especially Miss Lucille," he added when he saw Markus raising his eyebrow at him.

"Even the young miss? So, basically, everybody already met this enigmatic Miss Zimmerman except for me."

Antonio nodded and in a small voice added, "Even Madame Liu."

He chuckled, "Even Nicole? This is truly interesting." He scratched his temple and cocked his head on the side, "What can you tell me about this Little Miss Jessie?"

"She is amazing," he blurted out and blushed.

"Oh. I see." he grinned. "I think you should write that resignation letter after all. I mean, Noah would kill you if he found out you have a crush on his girl."

"I don't have a crush --" he stopped himself when Markus booming laughter echoed in the quiet office.
