Lucille's eyes twinkled when she heard that her Opa knew her aunt Jessie.

Jess couldn't say anything because Lucille's eyes were darting between her and the Sly Old Tiefenbacher. She smiled, "we met at the company party. Let's go in first, so you and your friends can order the food.

She walked behind Lucille and slowed down to put distance between them as she wanted to speak to the Sly Old Tiefenbacher. And she could sense that he also wanted to talk to her. They both walked slowly and watched Lucille and her friends enter the private dining room with Soraya and two of Eva's shadows.

"That security is with, which kid?" He asked, breaking the silence between them.

"With Eva. The girl with red hair."  She replied.

"No wonder those suits look Russian."

She scoffed as she glanced over the old man. "Why didn't you tell me that you know me personally?"

"Little Miss Jessie, my grandson doesn't want to tell me about you. I have to pull the information from dear Lucille who happened to be loyal to you." He shook his head as if he was in pain. "You have no idea how difficult it was for me to do so."

She rolled her eyes because the sly old man's words sounded so fake. As well as his expression. He said those words with a mischievous smile on his lips.

"I don't believe it, even for a bit."

"You're hurting my feelings, Little Miss Jessie." He smirked, matching her pace to the private dining room. They were taking the short walk in such a slow manner for they both know, once they entered the private dining room, Lucille and her friends would take over the whole conversation.

"Funny how you could say that when you're the one that hid your true identity from me." She pursed her lips as glared at him. Never in the slightest she felt that she needed to watch herself in front of the old man. She felt like she could whine and act spoiled with him.

"I didn't hide my identity to you. I told you my name and you're the one who felt like our first name was enough to know between us during our first meeting."

Jess creased her forehead and remembered if she said what the old sly Tiefenbacher was saying. She remembered just telling her name when she introduced herself to him because he was acting like an old rascal.

She sighed and let the misstep go because she has a feeling that if she'd insist otherwise, the old sly Tiefenbacher would not back down.

When they finally reached the door of their private dining room, Alfred beaten the restaurant staff who was standing outside the door in opening the door for Jess. She smiled as she muttered  "thanks" and entered the room to find Lucille and her friends in deep discussion on what to eat for lunch.

Jess and Alfred took the seat at the other end of the table and glanced at the two men in black suits were standing at the far in of the room, not taking their eyes on Eva while scanning the room as though there will be an enemy that would attack anytime.

She watched Eva as she wiped her hands in warm towellete. The little girl doesn't seem to mind the presence of her bodyguards. She was acting as normal as any kid can be.

"Aunt Jessie, what can we order?"

Lucille asked but three pair of young eyes were on her, waiting for her answer. She couldn't help but chuckle deep inside. All of the girls' parents can afford this restaurant and yet, the three girls were asking for her permission on what they could order.

"You can order anything you want because Opa Alfred is going to pay for our meal." She told the girls with a wide smile. What she said received a loud cheer. The loudest was from Lucille.

"Thank you, Opa Alfred." Eva and Sofia said in unison. Lucille beamed at her grandfather.

"I didn't say that I'm going to threat you all for a meal."

She clicked her tongue as she picked a cup of water. She brought the cup to her lips and pretended to drink because her purpose was to hide her words from Lucille. "Yes, you didn't. But then, we also didn't invite you to this meal."

The Sly Old Tiefenbacher twisted his body to face her. "Oh my, Little Miss Jessie!" He exaggeratedly widened his eyes. "I didn't expect you to be like this."

Jess didn't say anything but she crocked her eyebrow at the old man.

"Where is Noah, by the way?"

She put down her cup of water before she answered. "He's in Shanghai. He said, there was some importance business that he had to attend to."

"Yes." Alfred nodded. "I was the one that supposed to be in Shanghai but I declined to go there, so Noah went." He smirked, clearly proud of what he did.

"This lunch was supposed to be with me and Noah--"

"Oh! That's good. Noah didn't just take the job that was meant for me, I also have the lunch date that he was going to spend with you." He was beaming as though he won something big.

Jess stared at the Sly Old Tiefenbacher in disbelief. She couldn't decide on what to tell him after what she heard. She couldn't decide whether to laugh or get annoyed with what Alfred did. She wondered how Noah would feel if he would find out that his grandfather did something to put him in the situation he's in right now.

She remembered how Noah was cursing under his breath when he called her from the tarmac to inform  and apologize to her that he had to bail out from their lunch date because he had to fly to China for a business emergency.

"Y-you--" She uttered in disbelief. She shook her head when she couldn't find the words to say to him. "Let me tell you...I don't have any regrets in letting you pay for our meal today."

"Little Miss Jessie," he chuckled.. "For you, any time."
