"Why do I have to do all of these?"

She swiped her thin arms over the small mountain of workbooks in front of her before she crossed her arms over her chest. She has her eyebrows furrowed in a tight knit.

She woke up and they were already up in the air. She felt so sad, that she wasn't able to say goodbye to the dogs and his grandfather. She continued sulking during brunch and almost didn't finish her food until her father gave her a warning that they would not go to that beautiful island and just go back to his father's apartment if she was going to be difficult and not eat her meal.

After their meal, her father excused himself to take a nap because he has a headache. Now Soraya is telling her that they should use the time to do her summer vacation homework. She wasn't happy about it. Not at all!

"Why can't we just watch a movie? I have a movie that I would like to watch." She gave Soraya a sweet smile - the one that always works with her father. "We could watch with everyone. We have popcorn and it would be so fun!" she continued persuading Soraya.

Soraya bit the inside of her cheeks to stop herself from grinning. This young Miss truly knew how to work her charm. No wonder her father escaped to the plane cabin for she knew that his resolve would melt the moment her daughter batted her pretty eyelashes, smiled angelically and that's all that it would take for her to get a yes from her father.

She kept her face stoic because if she shows any small amount of giving in, the young miss would take advantage of that crack to push what she wanted.

"Listen, Miss Lucille. We are going to this beautiful island where you will spend a lot of time playing around.  Currently, we are flying high up in the air and this flight would take almost a day. We have enough time to watch the movie you want, but you won't have enough time to do your summer homework while we are on the island."

Lucille narrowed her blue eyes on her, unconvinced.

"You have a choice, you can spend two or three hours on this boring flight to do your homework, or you will be forced to do your homework while you are having fun on the island. We only have been on the air for six hours, miss."

She clenched her panda stuffed toy in her arms as she chewed on her button lip debating on what she would do with the given choices. She knew that doing her summer vacation homework is something that she must do. Her mother would check them as soon as she returned home.

Soraya was right, this flight is a long one and it could get boring. She can't spend twelve hours watching movies! And the idea that she could finish her homework and not think about it for the rest of the summer vacation is a very appealing idea.

"Is it really just for three hours?" she asked Soraya. She doesn't want to get scammed thinking that it would only be three hours then she would spend more hours later on. Her mother always plays that game, and she hated it.

"Yes. Consider your capability to concentrate and do the exercises with minimal to no mistakes so you don't have to go back and redo some questions. If you do that, I would say three hours max with ten minutes break in between hours were enough. So, shall you begin?" She opened the math workbook and gave it a glance.

She couldn't believe that this kid is already answering these kinds of math exercises. She has no idea what these numbers are. Good thing she has a video that would explain how to answer the math problem as part of the workbook. Lucille can do it on her own. Because if she would ask her for help, she has no answer!

"Okay," she took a deep sigh and sat down to start answering her math workbook. She put Baba on the table facing her. She made the panda stuffed toy lean on some books so it won't stumble. "Baba, let's do our best, okay?" she patted the head of her panda stuffed toy.

"Do you think she could really finish those thick workbooks?" she asked Antonio in a hushed tone.

They are sitting down two seats away from Miss Lucille and her nanny, but they can hear clearly the conversation going on there. Mr. Tiefenbacher went to the cabin to lie down. They could sit together like this without being watched.

"She could. The little kid got her parents' brain."

"Why are you grinning like a proud uncle?" she teased him. He doesn't show much emotion most of the time so it's kinda nice to tease him because of how he reacts with the daughter of their employer.

"Am I?"

"Yeah, it's kinda creepy," she said and watched him from the corner of her eyes. She giggled inwardly when Antonio's smile turned into a frown.

"I do think that miss Lucille is adorable. There is nothing creepy about that." His mouth was pulled in a tight straight line as he stared at Amara's face.

"What do you do for fun? Huh?" she touched the collar of his polo shirt that was closed up to the last button. She unbuttoned the last two of them, and playfully grazed her fingers on the base of his neck. "I was just kidding about you being a creepy uncle." she leaned on his face and blew on his ears as she whispered, "Uncle, do you find me adorable too?"

"I am not your uncle." He painfully swallowed the lump on his throat.

This girl has been playing with him since they left LA. He wasn't really complaining, it's just that they are on the job! She is his type and he would love to play with her outside working hours but this girl only plays with him when they are at work!

"If not uncle, then how about daddy?" She grinned watching the conflicting emotion on Antonio's face.
