Chapter 31: Exploring.

(*Celia’s POV*)

With invisibility, our little trip was perfectly safe. I would love to go and save random people, but doing so would be pointless. They’d just get captured again with ease. Giant swarms of those creatures patrol the skys, and they seem to be on the lookout for anything and everything.

Now that I think about it, I seem to recall those three flying down to me, so I got seen by a swarm earlier. Like with that frozen layer of Hell, it was very hard to find anything in this place. The only landmarks were the lines of prisoners. Even after searching for many hours, we weren’t even close to finding the damn crystal.

Celia: “God, can you not help us out to find the crystal?” I ask with a sigh.

God: “If it was back in the time period where I controlled it, then I could. But since I don’t control it now, I can’t.” She answered.

Currently, Alisa, Amelie and I were flying around. Alisa couldn’t go invisible, so I was holding onto one of her hands, and Amelie was holding onto her other hand.

Amelie: “I still think that you should just go back in time. If you do, then you can easily find the crystal and protect it.” She said with a sigh.

God: “Even as the true God of everything, I have limits. I can only do one time travel per a hundred years, so it is better to do it this way.” She explained.

Celia: “Wait… if the crystal is in a different spot, won’t it be in a different spot again once we returned?” I say with a raised eyebrow.

God: “It will be, but as long as we hold on to it, then we will end up next to it, regardless of what era we travel to.” She replied.

Celia: “…”

Fuck. I really wish that I was dealing with simple problems still… That old crone, whatever her name was, now that was an easy villain. Nowadays, I have to deal with some evil higher being, a literal CREATOR, that wants to take over Heaven…

Like, could I not go back to dealing with shitty bandits? No. I have to deal with shit like this. Am I getting old? I haven’t had a single fun fight in so damn long. Do I just not like fighting anymore? Fuck… this isn’t the time to think about such things.

Did my evolution destroy my battle junkie side? It shouldn’t have… Eh, I will just chop it up to me being too damn tired. I feel like I need to rest for at least a year straight to get rid of this fatigue. Well, right now, I need to focus on saving Heaven.

God: “Damn… Where the Hell did she take my fucking crystal!?” She exclaimed with a pout.

Celia: “Should you be swearing like that?” I jokingly reply.

God: “Yes.” She replied with another pout.

Amelie: “Celia, we’re just holding you back. I’ll return to the base with Alisa.” She proposed.

Celia: “Huh? I don’t think that is the case, though?” I reply with a confused expression.

Alisa: “Mom, it is kinda hard to be with you. After all, we assumed that you ran away… We know now that isn’t the case, and that we actually won’t have to live out this depressing life without you.” She explained.

Amelie: “Right. The longer you stick with us, the harder it will be for you to return back to your time. We wish you luck, Celia.” She said before flying away with Alisa in tow.

Celia: “…”

Aw… I can tell that they’re still very upset that I left them. It wasn’t my fault, though… Stupid God! Messing up my relationship with my family! If you weren’t so damn tiny, I would be pulling your cute cheeks!!!

God: “Celia… That gaze is scary… I know that you feel bad, but you’re right to blame me for this. I should have blocked the teleportation process, so that this wouldn’t happen.” She said with a remorseful tone.

Celia: “Wait… you said that we have to hold on to the crystal, right? Won’t that make me the owner of it as well?” I ask with a thinking pose.

God: “Well, you just have to hold on to me, and then it will work.” She replied with a giggle.

Celia: “…”

For a person who has had her entire birthright taken from her, she is very calm and casual. Either she doesn’t really care, or she very much trusts that we can succeed in our mission. With a sigh, I continued to search around with God.

*Days Later.*

Sand, sand, and just more fucking sand… Why sand? Why a desert? Didn’t a Creator take over this place? Shouldn’t they, you know, be actually creative? It is in their fucking title, after all…

God: “Celia… I have come to a terrible realization…” She said with a nervous tone.

Celia: “What’s your realization?” I ask with a head tilt.

God: “I…I really have to go pee, but this body can’t do bodily functions like that!!!” She exclaimed with tears in her eyes.

Celia: “…”

This is the ruler of everything? That really isn’t a high bar at all… No wonder she let this shit happen. I can think of so many damn was to trick this woman, it is a wonder why this hasn’t happened a long time ago already…

God: “I can’t read your mind, but I feel like you’re insulting me…” She said with a pout.

Celia: “Can you blame me?” I reply.

God: “Yes! Look, I am normally far more mature, but this form is even worse than a child. It isn’t my fault!” She exclaimed.

Celia: “Huh? Alright then. I am sorry for insulting you.” I reply with a remorseful tone and expression.

God: “…”

Celia: “?”

God: “I didn’t expect for you to apologize, but I guess that you’re true to your domain.” She said with a happy laugh.

After dealing with that little conversation, God and I went back to our so far fruitless search. It has been days, and all we have seen are just random people who are being used as slaves, or have been captured. God… could we please just get this over with already?…
