Chapter 54: I'll Work, Anyway.

(*Celia’s POV*)

Despite my blurry and short vision, I was able to tell that it was Victoria who comforted me. As much as I didn’t want to connect with the people of this dimension to which I will eventually leave, I seemed to have failed that goal.

Besides, I needed to be comforted at the moment, and Victoria was the one who stepped up to comfort me in my time of need and weakness. Which is something that I am grateful for. I wish I could express this, but I couldn’t. At least, not verbally.

Celia: “Sorry for sleeping for so long.” I write out on the palm of Victoria’s hand.

Fortunately, I still have one way for me to be able to communicate with others. Of course, if I could use magic, I could just write words in the air to speak. And I at least had enough strength to write out words on someone’s hand.

Victoria: “You don’t have to apologize. And don’t say that it isn’t our fault. It is.” She wrote out on my hand.

From my short vision, I could see Clarisa and Selen nearby my bed, right next to Victoria. Taking my hand, Selen wrote some words on it as well.

Selen: “We took advantage of you, Celia. I am sure that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. You need to say no more in the future.” She wrote.

Celia: “You aren’t the first to advise me as such, Selen.” I write.

Victoria: “No the first!? How can you live like this?” She wrote.

Celia: “I was willing to sacrifice a month to help you three. I didn’t realize that I would be so wounded from doing so.” I write.

Selen: “You’re avoiding the question, Celia.” She wrote.

Celia: “I am aware that this is one of my shortcomings. It is something that I planned to correct, but with my family being taken away from me, I forgot about it.” I wrote.

Selen: “…”

Talking like this was somewhat hard, so it seemed that we all together decided to drop the hard subjects.

Victoria: “Are you hungry?” She wrote.

Celia: “Check out my hunger Stat, I am starving.” I wrote.

Victoria bent over to pick me up in a princess carry. Much to my horror, it felt like my entire body was being crushed. I might not be able to hear, but I surely let out a horrible scream of pain… Not wanting to hurt me further, Selen used magic to float me back onto my bed.

Landing on it hurt as well, which rewarded them with another howl of pain. Fuck… People can’t even touch me, huh? How the hell am I going to get better, then? I doubt that I could even walk, as putting any kind of pressure on my body is painful.

Looking around the room, I couldn’t see anyone around the bed. Which meant that I couldn’t tell if anyone was in the room at all. At least I am not fully blind, but this limited vision is really pissing me the fuck off!

Victoria appeared next to the bed after around a few minutes, she had a plate of food in her hands. She put it on my lap, and I tried to eat. Stupidly, I couldn’t even pick up the damn fork and knife… Victoria took back the food, and then fed me.

The steak was too hard for me to even eat, so the meal was changed to soup instead. At the very least, I can still drink. Though, swallowing is actually hard, as funny and stupid as it sounds.

I’ve always been trapped in my own head all my first and second life, but this is different. Now I have no choice but to be trapped in my own head. If this wasn’t a magic fantasy world, and I didn’t have a System, I would probably kill myself. But I have hope that I can heal from this, eventually…

*Two Weeks Later.*

I could have a full Hunger Stat, but I was still weak. My vision never returned to normal, but I was getting somewhat better. I could now be picked up and walk around without being in heart-wrenching pain. Which was good. I could also eat most things now.

Selen: “Is there any food that you know of that could fix your vision?” She wrote.

Celia: “Depends… Got any carrots?” I write back on her hand.

Selen: “Carrots? What are those? Where can we find them?” She wrote with desperate speed.

Celia: “It’s just a joke, sorry. Even if you found them, it wouldn’t cure me, haha.” I write.

Selen: “…”

Currently, Selen and I were walking around in a very pretty garden. This place is part of Victoria’s estate. Not her moving castle, mind you. Instead, it is her estate back in Brestia.

From what Selen’s told me, Victoria didn’t need to take over Coltern. With her System, she became very powerful. All but being the queen, she basically ran Brestia. Coltern was supposed to be her stepping stone, but with my intervention, it ended up not being a necessary place to take over.

Selen: “Celia… You aren’t getting any better, you know? We need a solution.” She wrote.

Celia: “Solution? I just have to kill a bunch of things to heal, Selen. And if that doesn’t work, then I just have to evolve.” I write.

Selen: “Will that really work?” She wrote.

Celia: “Probably?” I write back.

Selen: “…”

I assume that Selen sighed from my reply, but it’s not like I can hear her. She then guided me hand in hand back to my room. No longer a bed of Mana Crystals and healing potions, as they don’t have an effect anymore, it was just a normal bed in my room.

The maids seemed to treat me like Victoria’s daughter, which isn’t surprising to me at all. When it comes to females, only four things ever happen when I met them. One, I help them out. Two, they fall in love with me. Three, they want me to be their mother. And finally, four, they want to be my mother. I struggle to recall anything in-between those four things…

Selen: “You relax here in your room. I will figure something out in regards to your plan.” She wrote.

Celia: “Okay, thanks.” I wrote.

I waved her goodbye, and after walking a few feet, she was out of my range of vision. A maid came over and took my hand, she then guided me to my couch, where there was food and tea already prepared for me. This pampering is great, especially when I am in a very weakened physical and mental state. With a smile, I munch on some cookies. I hope that I will get better soon…
