Ch.243 Let’s All Play (3)

When the car arrived at the He residence, rain suddenly fell from the sky.

The sound of the rain was quite loud, and the cold droplets fell onto He Han’s shoulder.

He did not bring an umbrella so the rain soaked his clothes, but he didn’t mind it.

He Han did not inform Old Madam He that he would be home tonight, so Old Madam He was not home as she had gone out with a friend.

He Han headed straight for his room. While walking upstairs, he unbuttoned his suit with one hand.

The ceiling light was turned on, instantly lighting up the whole room.

He Han hung his suit to the side.

There was a photo album on the table, which the butler might have accidentally left behind while organizing the bookshelves.

He Han picked up the photo album and was about to put it back on the bookshelf.

Suddenly, a photo fell out.

The photo was of He Han’s deceased mother as well as Cheng Ping together.

Both of them were still quite young at the time, and they had a big smile on their faces.

He Han picked up the photo and tried to slip it back into the album.

He casually opened the album, but then in the next second, his actions paused.

He Han’s eyes deepened and his finger rested on one of the photos.

It was a photo of He Han when he was young.

He Han was stunned. He picked up the phone he had put aside and opened up the photo album.

The album was encrypted, and only He Han knew the password.

He Han lightly tapped his finger on the screen and opened up the album. All the photos inside are related to Ye Fan.

He saved the photos Qi Shu had sent him of Ye Fan in the practice room. There were also several photos of her holding Dudu which he had inadvertently taken.

Past events flashed into his mind, the memories tumbling down.

Under the sunlight, Ye Fan was playing the violin with her eyes closed, and the sound of the violin seemed to still be flowing in his ears.

The sound of the violin was so familiar that it healed him again and again.

Those memories were so vivid in his mind, that even though some time had passed, they were still as fresh in his mind as ever.

Ye Fan was almost a complete stranger to him, yet she felt so familiar.

He Han knew exactly what Ye Fan was worried about. She saw all the setbacks that were standing in their way, but what He Han thought of was the future they could have.

Ye Fan wouldn’t come close to him, so he had to approach her step by step.

He Han redirected his eyes to the phone screen, to the photo of Ye Fan holding Dudu. Her eyes had such a gentle look in them, and Dudu was completely dependent on her.

He Han put the phone on the photo album and compared Dudu with his childhood photo.

Looking at it this way, Dudu’s features were strikingly similar to him when he was a child.

At first, He Han thought Dudu looked a bit like him, but he didn’t think about things in that direction at all, because he would never go through photos of his childhood.

But when he saw this photo now, he couldn’t help but feel suspicious.

Whether it was during the time they were acting together or attending events, Ye Fan always kept a distance from him. She knew that he had feelings for her, yet she would use her child to reject him.

Ye Fan did not even want him to get in contact with Dudu and will try to avoid the two of them meeting as much as possible.

Could it be that there was another even more important reason why Ye Fan would not let him see Dudu?

A memory of a scene flashed through He Han’s mind.

When he first met Dudu, that inexplicably sense of familiarity they met, and the times they happened to meet by chance, how Dudu unexpectedly trusted him despite being a stranger…

Their destinies are linked together. All the pieces seemed to be pointing in one direction.

He Han’s doubts were hidden under a heavy dog, but the truth seems only a step away under the surface of the ocean waves.

Could it be that…

Dudu is his son?

He Han’s eyes deepened. He could hear the sound of the rain coming from the window.

But the sound of the rain and wind were blocked out and could only make noise outside.

He Han walked to the window and looked out at the rain that didn’t look like it would ever stop.

The look in his eyes was unclear, but they were calm.

In the next moment, he dialed Dr. Zhao’s number.

Someone on the other end of the line quickly picked up.

He Han’s cold voice came down in the silent night.

The rain was bitterly cold, blurring the boundaries between the sky and the earth, but the thoughts in He Han’s mind were clear and distinct.

Question, curiosity, mystery…all covered by the heavy rain outside the window.

His quiet voice poured out into the rainy night.

“Do you still have Ye Duo’s blood sample from back then?”
