Chapter 10

As Aela storms into Jorrvaskr, those Companions currently in the Mead Hall almost immediately realize they need to give her a wide berth. Njada Stonearm even has her mouth open, likely to ask Aela for a spar after she handed Athis his ass just a bit ago, but the moment she sees the look on Aela’s face, her jaw clicks shut, and she stays well out of the Huntress’ way.

Much of the Circle had… tempers, to be sure, of varying degrees of severity. It came part and parcel with being werewolves. It didn’t matter how even-tempered they were before; it didn’t matter how reasonable they were. The wolf inside constantly fought to be let out, and even for someone like Aela, who was more in tune with her inner beast, it was a constant battle. It was simply one that she enjoyed… normally.

But, so rarely was she as conflicted as she was right now. Her thoughts, feelings, and emotions were a fucking mess, and she knew it. Anger might be the most prevalent and public emotion she was currently showcasing, but in truth, it was nothing more than a façade for the inner tumult and confusion she was experiencing.

Indeed, the Companions inside of Jorrvaskr might have expected her to plow right on through to the other side of the Mead Hall, exiting through the front and leaving the city with all haste. It was something that happened every so often among the Circle. When your temper was this frayed, it was usually easier to just get away from the city and let the beast free to roam the wilds.

Of course, Kodlak heavily discouraged that behavior, just as he hated it when she and Skjor went on their nightly hunts in beast form. Aela was well aware that there were rumors about them because of those hunts, but she hated being cooped up for too long.

Which is why those giving her a wide berth and watching her cautiously were no doubt incredibly surprised when, instead of making to leave the Mead Hall so she could get out of the city altogether, Aela made her way downstairs to beneath Jorrvaskr. Stomping to her room, she all but slams the door shut behind her… and hastily tears her clothing off of her shapely, chiseled form.

Before she even reaches her bed, her hands are on herself. She pinches a nipple and gives it a good hard twist, and does the same with her clit, gasping and falling face first into her furs, burying her face in her pillow as she SHRIEKS in a mixture of rage and utter disbelief.

It was all that fucking Altmer’s fault. How dare he… how DARE HE?! She… she’d thought she had his measure outside of Whiterun, after his little friend had taken down that Giant. A traveling mage, he’d introduced himself as. Pah! The fucking audacity to lie to a Companion… and then get away with it! Not only was he clearly much more than just a traveling mage, but he’d also hidden his skills until he could use them to put both her and Vilkas in the ground! Them, two of the Companions’ strongest, two of the Circle even! And he’d treated them like nothing. He’d treated HER like… like a disobedient child!

Shoving three fingers up her cunt, a low rumbling growl leaves Aela’s throat as she keeps her face buried in the furs atop her bed, but raises her hips into the air, humping at her hand and gasping and growling and moaning all the while.

Fuck… fuck, fuck, FUCK! He’d known what he was doing from the moment they’d first met. He’d used her own preconceptions against her. At first, Aela had been interested in the girl. And to be fair, she still very much was. The girl, an Archer, was very good with the bow… potentially better than Aela herself. But then, to be fair, the Huntress was not one to stick with just one weapon. She trained with both melee and ranged weaponry, and preferred to be expert at both, rather than master of one. She liked the flexibility.

The girl, Svanna… she reminded Aela of herself, in a way. She’d seen glimmers of her own beginnings in the younger Nord, to say nothing of their physical identities. Seeing that Altmer alongside her, professing to be a mage… yes, Aela had let her prejudices get the better of her. Yes, she had wanted to see them separated, to see Svanna join the Companions and leave her companion and his dishonorable magics behind.

What had happened instead… Aela shivers as she feels the phantom sting of the flat of the Altmer’s blade on her buttocks, even now. Not only had he utterly demolished her, but he’d spanked her like a disobedient child too. She should have been furious. She WAS furious. Only, from the moment she’d seen him walk into Jorrvaskr in that armor, from the moment she’d watched him take down Vilkas, and then experienced his skill and speed with his blades firsthand, Aela had also been experiencing something else.

Immense arousal.

It was the Nord woman’s first time being turned on by a Mer. She’d never lain with a Mer before now and she… she still didn’t intend to! Except, what if she tried him out? What if she took him for a spin? Was Svanna already tapping that? Was that why the lithe Nord girl wasn’t willing to leave his side? Were they fucking?

A flush spreads across Aela’s face as she lets out a strangled, frustrated cry into the bed beneath her, her sex getting sloppier and messier by the moment under the efforts of her fingers and the images in her head of Vayral and Svanna going at it. She could picture it in her mind’s eye, and while it had no business being so arousing, there was no denying that she was getting off on it. She-

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Aela freezes, as someone bangs on her door. She would have immediately responded, probably with something like ‘Who dares?!’ but truth be told, she doesn’t trust herself to speak. Not immediately. Instead, she just freezes up… and a moment later, Vilkas’ voice sounds out through the wood.

“Aela. You alright? I sent the initiates off to the Skyforge with my sword as one last little test. They likely won’t be back for some time, you know how Eorlund gets.”

Forcing her panting down, Aela squirms for a moment before finally speaking. Even then, her voice sounds a tad too husky for her liking.

“I’m… I’m fine. Just… frustrated.”

“… Right. We can probably find some reason to kick em out, if you like. A good warrior doesn’t make a good Companion, after all. There was that woman, Uthgerd, for example. We can find a reason to dismiss em. Something like they were disrespectful, or something.”

While a part of Aela is touched that Vilkas is willing to go so far for her, she doesn’t actually want that. As baffling as it is, as much as he infuriates her, the thought of not having that Altmer around… it makes her feel like she’d be losing something. Like she’d be failing a test, or losing a competition, or whatever. It doesn’t make sense, but there it is all the same.

More than that…

She lets out a bark of laughter and shakes her head, finally coming up out of her downright humiliating position and kneeling there in the middle of her bed as she addresses Vilkas’ words.

“Disrespectful of what? We’re the Companions, Vilkas. We have no leaders. Even Kodlak knows better than to tell us what to do.”

“Eh, sure. But there are Companions and then there are Initiates, and those two are still the latter. And on top of that… there’s the Circle. Say the word, Aela. We’ll find a way to make it happen.”

Pausing for a moment longer, Aela finds herself shaking her head, though Vilkas can’t see it.

“… No, Vilkas. They’re both strong additions to our ranks. I won’t… I won’t let my own prejudices weaken us.”

“… Alright then, if that’s what you want. You want me to send Skjor your way when I see him?”

Aela stiffens and her nostrils flare as her anger, which had been simmering down, returns in full force. While it wasn’t something she liked advertised, there was some minor truth to the rumors of her and Skjor getting… together. They weren’t mates or anything like that, they didn’t care to put any labels on anything they did together.

But the fact of the matter was, it felt like they were the only two members of the Circle who DIDN’T regret becoming werewolves, these days. And sometimes, when the wolf within got too belligerent… rough and bestial sex with a male like Skjor helped to calm it just as much as any hunt would have. Still…

For a moment, given just how horny she’s feeling, Aela is almost tempted to take Vilkas up on his offer. She feels like she’s in fucking heat, for all that that doesn’t actually happen with werewolves and has never happened before. Only… as she finds herself instinctively imagining her and Skjor together, joined in a passionate embrace as they have been before… Skjor is replaced in her mind’s eye with that damn Altmer, and somehow, Aela knows that the Nord isn’t going to be able to satisfy her this time.

“… No, Vilkas. I’m fine.”

When Vilkas’ voice drifts through her door a moment later, its clear that even he doesn’t quite believe that.

“Right. Sure… I’ll leave you to it then.”

Aela flushes at that, realizing why he’d asked about Skjor in the first place. Her best efforts at muffling her voice hadn’t worked, it would seem. She’d been… heard venting her ‘frustrations’.

As the sound of Vilkas walking away reaches Aela’s ears, she grits her teeth and then throws herself back onto her bed, bringing a hand to her forehead. She needed… she wasn’t sure what she needed, to be honest. That was the fucking problem. She couldn’t decide what she needed or wanted. She couldn’t decide what she was going to do next.

-x-X-x-

After our quickie, Svanna and I make our way up to the Skyforge where Eorlund Grey-Mane awaits us. Not that the aged blacksmith even knows we’re coming. As we arrive, he turns and raises a single brow, until I smile and hold up Vilkas’ sword.

“Vilkas sent us. Said you would know what to do.”

“Ah, Initiates. Yes, give it here then.”

I raise an eyebrow at that, even as I hand the sword over and we watch Eorlund begin working it at the grindstone. This right here is the best Blacksmith in all of Skyrim… well, he was until I came along. Skyforge Steel is nice and all, but it’s nothing compared to what I’ll be able to make with more esoteric materials. And with the Ordinator Perk System, I can make even better shit with Blacksmithing, before Enchanting it with Enchanting.

That said, after a beat of silence as neither Svanna nor I say a word, Eorlund apparently decides to fill it.

“Don’t worry too much about the busy work. All the Companions start out somewhere. And don’t always just do what you’re told either. Nobody rules anybody in the Companions.”

Chuckling, I shrug my shoulders.

“That seems like a recipe for disaster, don’t you think? Someone should always be in charge. After all, imagine if there wasn’t a Jarl. What sort of state would Whiterun be in then?”

Eorlund hums, still working away at the sword as he shrugs right back at me.

“Well, I’m not sure how they’ve managed it, but they have. No leaders since the time of Ysgramor. Kodlak is the Harbinger of course, but he’s just an advisor. Every man and woman are their own.”

Right. That did make Vilkas’ words seem more like hazing than I’d initially realized. It was good to know. Also, I should probably ask the obvious, since while I had a whole bunch of metaknowledge, Svanna didn’t actually know who we were even talking to.

“And you are?”

“The name’s Eorlund Gray-Mane. I work the Skyforge. Produces the best steel in all of Skyrim, heh, in all of Tamriel. Not actually a Companion myself, mind you, but none of them know how to work a forge properly. I’m honored to serve them.”

As he finishes with Vilkas’ sword and comes away from the grindstone, I make a decision right then and there and cast my most powerful Charm Spell to date on the aging Blacksmith.

“Well, now you’ll be honored to serve me.”

As the magic washes over Eorlund, Svanna jolts at my side, looking wide-eyed for a moment before relaxing again. I just give her a grin.

“Not to worry. I have nothing… sexual planned with this old man or any other for that matter. But we would be a fool not to ‘make’ allies of the more capable people we run into; don’t you think?”

As Eorlund stands there, swaying unsteadily back and forth, currently in something of a quasi-trance, Svanna looks at him and slowly nods.

“He’ll help us out then?”

“Once I’m done with him, yep.”

Its so very nice of them to leave the Skyforge relatively unguarded. Just us and Eorlund up here, despite this being the place where all of their steel is forged, despite the Underforge being just below it. Chuckling, I step up and finish working my magic on Eorlund, happily leaning on my Illusion Perks to really bring it home. Mm, if I’d waited until he was asleep, I could have utilized the Dream Perks from Ordinator, but truth be told, with the Charm Magic I’d apparently picked up from my Thalmor background that didn’t even exist in the Skyrim video game, I didn’t NEED to rely on those Dream Perks.

Instead, I raise Eorlund’s disposition with me as high as I possibly can, and when he comes out of the Charm, he looks at me like one might look at an old friend.

“You’ll do well with the Companions, I’m sure. And if you or your friend ever need anything of me, you need only ask. Though… if you don’t mind, I have a favor to ask of you, my friend.”

Chuckling, I take Vilkas’ sword back from Eorlund and incline my head, already knowing from the game what this is about.

“But of course, friend. What can I do for you?”

“My wife is in mourning, and I need to get back to her soon. I have a shield I’ve been working on for Aela the Huntress. I’d be much obliged if you could take it to her for me.”

As I take the shield he’s offering me as well, my smile becomes positively wicked and a glance at Svanna shows she’s now VERY interested in what’s happening.

“But of course. We would be glad to take this to our new shield-sister, wouldn’t we Svanna?”

“… Yes.”

With Eorlund properly charmed to see me as his best friend in the whole wide world, Svanna and I depart from the Skyforge. I still don’t really know if we’re going to stick around and truly get stuck into all that the Companions have to offer us… or really how much more they have to offer us than Aela herself. But at the very least, access to the Skyforge when I become an Uber Blacksmith in my own right and want to make the strongest possible equipment for myself and Svanna, will be very important.

In the meantime, the two of us head back to Jorrvaskr just as the sun is setting. As we make our way into the Mead Hall, it isn’t hard to locate Vilkas and get him back his sword. He doesn’t seem to have much to say to us, not even so much as a ‘Thank you’ beyond a single grunt. I consider asking him where Aela can be found, but it seems more fun to seek her out ourselves… especially since I know from the game exactly which room is her room.

And so, with Svanna on my heels, I lead the way to the Huntress’ Chambers, and knock on the door. After a moment, a voice rings out from inside, clipped and sounding decidedly irritated.

“Yes? What is it?”

Grinning at Svanna, expecting to make Aela quite a bit MORE irritated with my presence in a moment, I can’t help but speak with a note of smugness to my voice when I answer her.

“Its Vayral and Svanna. We were sent by Eorlund to deliver a shield you had him working on.”

I’m half-expecting her to tell me to just leave it outside the door and go away. If she does, I’ll get to ask her if she could, as a senior member of the Companions of course, show Svanna and I where we might be allowed to rest our weary selves. It’ll force her to interact with us further, I figure. But… that’s not what happens. Instead, after another moment of silence, Aela speaks up sounding almost… subdued.

“… Come in.”

I glance to Svanna, who just shrugs. Together, we enter the room to find Aela the Huntress awaiting us… completely and utterly naked.

“Shut the door behind you.”

Calmly, I do so, even as I drink in the sight of her beautiful but also very athletic and toned body, fully on display before me. Her chin is jutting out defiantly, but her rock hard nipples and glistening wet sex make it clear what she wants and why she called us in here. Her eyes flicker from me to Svanna, as if waiting for one of us to make a move.

Honestly, even I’m a little surprised when Svanna abruptly stomps forward and before Aela can react, grabs the other Nord woman by the nipples and yanks with all her strength, drawing a sharp yelp from the Huntress as she’s brought crashing down to her knees.

Honestly, Aela is old enough to be Svanna’s big sister… they even look similar enough for it too. Which is why it’s all the more amusing, watching Svanna drive Aela down to the ground like that, watching Aela wince as her knees hit the packed earth beneath her with a bit more speed then she clearly would have preferred.

Glaring daggers, Svanna towers over Aela, still holding her pinched nipples in each hand.

“Apologize. Apologize to Vayral for your words.”

I raise an eyebrow, as Aela gasps and squirms in Svanna’s grasp, still recovering her equilibrium. I had yet to use a single ounce of Charm Magic on the Huntress… so whatever happened next would be Aela’s decision. Was Svanna reaching too far, too fast? Or would Aela recognize the power before her, that of a Dragonborn and her overpowered Gamer Friend, and submit?

Stepping forward, a grin on my face, I had to admit… I couldn’t wait to find out.
