Mark replicated a sumptuous dinner for everyone and after that, they prepared to watch the horror film that he selected. The twins were particularly excited since this was the first movie that they would watch that was classified as a horror film.
“This is a horror film that terrified a lot of people from going into the ocean when this movie came out, so enjoy,” Mark said then he played the movie by Steven Spielberg “Jaws”.
Mark’s friends were focused on watching the film. The terrifying part of the movie was the terror that was lurking under the vastness of the ocean but what he liked about Jaws was that its scariness was something that he liked. Jump-scare and chased by monster scary not the possession by the devil heads turning three hundred sixty degrees scary.
After the movie ended everyone praised the film for its genius filmmaking and how it scared the audience.
“It’s a good thing that we can see to the bottom of the lake or else I would be terrified of going back to the water,” Milena said while hugging Aaron.
“It would be difficult to fight a monster like that underwater since the water is its territory,” Nedertu commented.
“That was a fun film,” Solinae said.
“Do you want something to eat? It’s our last night here since we need to get back tomorrow morning.”
“I wish we could have stayed longer,” Isaac said sadly.
“Next time we’ll bring our friend so it will be more fun,” Mark promised.
Mark then replicated some pizzas and sodas per the request of his friends for their late-night snack and then everyone retired to their room. The twins though joined Mark on his bed since they said they were afraid to sleep alone.
“The monster was a shark and there’s no shark here. Why are you both afraid?” Mark said exasperated but resigned since he knew that there would be consequences for allowing the kids to watch something scary.
The twins just shrugged and covered themselves with their blankets beside Mark. The kids did sleep immediately since they were probably exhausted from all the fun they had that day.
Mark woke up before the twins so he went downstairs to prepare breakfast for everyone. He was so glad that preparing food even for a lot of people was not too bothersome for him since he would just need to replicate the food in his inventory otherwise he would be too lazy to bother. Still, he was glad that Milena was with them and the food that she was preparing for them every day was great as well and it did allow him to get acquainted with the local cuisine.
Nedertu was the first one to come down since probably he smelled the food that Mark prepared. The sisters came from the library and Milena was with them. Suddenly he heard the twins shouting “Good Morning” which made Mark sigh. The twins had two volumes, loud and louder. Still, he was glad that the kids were comfortable enough to be that loud amongst them since it meant, to him anyway, that they treated them as family.
“Eat fast kids since after that we are leaving.”
“Mark, can we borrow the books from your library? We’ll return it once we’re done reading it.”
“Sure, just return them to me once you’re done.”
Milena also expressed her interest in borrowing some books from the library as well and Mark allowed her to do so. He told Milena that once the spell Comprehend Language expires, to just come to him so he could cast it again.
It took the whole group a couple more hours before they were ready and after that Mark summoned the portal and they all went back to his RV in the circus.
Once they arrived, the twins shouted that they would look for their friend and then they ran outside. Nedertu also said that he would need to check in with Hamil and Zenethor while the sisters said that they would need to return to their cart to clean it and have it ready before they left the village.
Milena also said that she would need to clean their cart to have it ready for their departure. After a few minutes, Nedertu came back with Hamil.
“I’m glad that you’re all back. We’ll be living in a couple of hours. How was your vacation?” Hamil asked.
“It was enjoyable. The twins had fun and I hoped that the others had as well.”
“It was fun, Mark thanks. Can I share the details of our vacation?” Nedertu asked.
“Sure, there’s no secret there. We just swam, watched movies, and ate food.”
Hamil said that he would need to prepare the caravan so he left with Nedertu accompanying him and bragging about all the things they did while they were on vacation. Mark heard the cat man describe the food they ate and the movies they watched.
Since they had a couple of hours before they left, Mark decided to memorize his second spell book under the first circle spell, Find Familiar, and then after that he would memorize the third one which was Disguise Self. He would like to find out what familiar he would summon before leaving and then once they were back to traveling, he would focus on his system and spend all of his skill points first, check if he could anchor the portal in a moving vehicle, and if he could, practice his spells inside his dungeon and go back to regular dungeon diving to increase his level.
Mark also read the details of the new spells and the MP cost of casting them was huge so it would be better for him to find good items in his dungeon that would increase his Wisdom to increase his MP. He would also need to increase the level of his Floating Sunflower spell to increase the MP regeneration.
That meant that he would need to hasten his dungeon diving so he could reach the thirtieth floor of his dungeon so he could farm better items.
Right now, his MP could support all of his spells and all of his inventory and replication needs since his base MP was fourteen hundred without including the stats from his items but soon he would need more.
Mark checked the time and it was past ten in the morning so he decided not to start memorizing the spell book since there was a good chance that he would be interrupted since they would leave soon. He decided to store the RV in his inventory and destroy it so he could replicate a new one once they stopped.
He joined Milena in cleaning their cart and then after they were done, he helped Milena in cooking their lunch. After a few minutes though, Milena exasperatedly told Mark to stop helping her and to do something else or at the very least just watch because he kept making a mess and it made Mark laugh.
After a few minutes, lunch was done and the twins came back with Nedertu driven by their hunger, shouting that they wanted to eat so Mark prepared a table for him and his family and they enjoyed Milena’s cooking.
