Yes. professor.”

Kang Moo-hyun took a quick glance at the paper the professor had given him and began writing the names on the whiteboard one by one. I couldn’t believe he remembered all those names after only seeing them once. I suddenly remembered Woo Ji-min’s description of him, how he despised him, and how, despite his bad luck, he lacked humanity.

Although there was no command to sit in groups, the students began to sit in groups. Because it was my freshman year, I was a little free-spirited. Even if it was foolish, trying to work hard must have been pretty cute in the eyes of the old professor. Only Woo Ji-min and I were quiet in the midst of the buzz. Woo Ji-min was the first to speak up.

“Damn it.”

That’s right. Kang Moo-hyun is in our group.

I only felt sorry for the crumpled notes in Woo Ji-min’s hands. Even if it heats up, the two of them will eventually share their joys and sorrows with each other and live in harmony. He says he despises him, but then says he wants to spend the rest of his life with him. I’m still in a situation where my memory is fading, but I haven’t forgotten the impressions, so I remembered being upset about why they were this way if it was going to end like that.

Kang Moo-hyun, who was approaching at a leisurely pace, stopped in front of Woo Ji-min. He doesn’t say anything and quietly entangles his eyes. Meanwhile, I was treated like air, but I didn’t dare to complain in front of the main characters. I scribbled in my notebook, pretending to take notes and not knowing.

“Long time no see. Ji-min, how are you?”

Woo Ji-min crossed his arms and ignored the pleasant greeting that gave you goosebumps. Then Kang Moo-hyun’s lips formed an arc and went up. Kang Moo-hyun didn’t mind being ignored and simply smiled. He didn’t seem willing to back down until he answered. The surroundings were noisy, but it was only cold around us. The invisible nerve warfare was intense enough to sting the skin.

“Hello… I’m Kim Young-ji, a freshman.”

The group’s final member, a girl who introduced herself as Kim Young-ji, approached slowly. Her face twisted slightly as if she was about to cry. That was understandable. Is it important how attractive the seniors are in front of group assignments with credit? If you understand the atmosphere, you will realize that our group is doomed.

A known development. An unknown character.

Kim Young-ji was an extra whose name I can’t quite remember. If you don’t have much impressions like Seo Seung-won or Tae Seong-je, you’re just an ordinary person. Suddenly, I made eye contact with Kim Young-ji. Perhaps it’s a matter of course. There’s even a motivation that I’m seeing for the first time, and that was the desire to join another group.

I felt a hard and awkward air around me, even if it was belatedly, and I awkwardly turned my eyes. At that time, Kang Moo-hyun softened the atmosphere. Kang Moo-hyun’s calm impression, who did not take his eyes off Woo Ji-min, changed so quickly that it was at the level of an actor.

“Young-ji… You are the one who suffered from a cold when you were a freshman at OT, right?”

“Oh, yes. That’s right.”

“I’m glad you seem to be okay now. Take care of yourself next time.”

“Uhm, yes. Thank you.”

“Professor Baek values group participation as much as results, so let’s all do well together.”

Kim Young-ji’s complexion improved dramatically. Kang Moo-hyun and Kim Young-ji exchanged greetings as if they were old friends. They appeared to have known each other faces from freshman OT. I didn’t go because Woo Ji-min didn’t mention OT, but now that I think about it, he didn’t mention freshman OT in the novel because Woo Ji-min was a junior who had just returned to school.

It was too late, but what does that have to do with getting close to Woo Ji-min? I just thought about it. I couldn’t go anyway, but now I regret it; what can I do? While I was sitting blankly, Kang Moo-hyun, who was wearing a charming smile, looked at me and smiled again.

“There is a face I don’t know. You’re a freshman, right? I’m Kang Moo-hyun.”

“Ah, I’m Seo Seung-won. Sunbae-nim.”

It was a rather blunt greeting, but Kang Moo-hyun smiled as if he didn’t mind.

“What’s with the Sunbae-nim. Speak comfortably. There’s nothing much even if you’re a third year.”

The atmosphere has eased a lot. Kim Young-ji’s face flushed as she looked at Woo Ji-min. The look that indicated it was his turn was innocent.

“Why are you in the third year?”

However, contrary to her wishes, Woo Ji-min was hostile and fired back at Kang Moo-hyun. Unlike Kim Young-ji, who wrinkled and lowered her gaze, Kang Moo-hyun responded naturally by looking at Woo Ji-face, min’s which even had a beautiful twisted eye.

AD

“I’m in the third year because I took a leave of absence. I guess it’s a coincidence. We return to school around the same time.”

Even though he returned to school after Woo Ji-min, he spoke very well. However, unlike me, who is familiar with all of the circumstances from the novel, Woo Ji-min, who is unaware of anything, closed his mouth without hiding his displeasure, thinking it was a sly but true coincidence.

Woo Ji-min said in a disapproving voice.

“…I’m Woo Ji-min. I want everyone to do it right. If you’re going to do it roughly, just drop it and do something else.”

Kim Young-ji’s complexion hardened. Hearing such words from seniors in the first meeting would be frightening. I wonder if he has to sharpen his blades to make the situation more difficult, but after reading the novel, I understand why Woo Ji-min said that.

Woo Ji-min can only have a smooth college life if he receives a full scholarship. He would have had to take a leave of absence or take out student loans otherwise. However, because he is already in debt, he may be hesitant to take out any additional loans.

His life itself was a misery. He was an orphan who didn’t know if his parents were still alive or not, and he endured many hardships and lived in poverty. Not only that, but the majority of his childhood memories were traumatic. Sexually harassed by teachers, statutory rape. Molesters, perverts, and stalkers who become entangled after his secondary growth… as well as Kang Moo-hyun and Tae Seong-je

Tae Seong-je would not have suffocated him as much if it hadn’t been for Kang Moo-hyun. That crazy guy chased Woo Ji-min not because he likes him, but to annoy Kang Moo-hyun. Woo Ji-min, who later found out about it, despised Kang Moo-hyun, who had been of little help in his life.

Hatred, I suddenly remembered that the word love and hatred was added to the title of the novel. I quickly took out my notebook and began taking notes.

“Hey, oh, I…”

I shook my head when I saw Kim Young-ji, who was caught between seniors in the third grade and was at a loss for what to do. Come to think of it, she was an important person to tell my classmates about my first impression. I have no intention of becoming close to my classmates, but bad words may get into Woo Ji-min’s ears later, so it might be better to maintain an amicable relationship.

“Our group chat…”

So I opened my mouth to help cool the atmosphere, but I couldn’t go on. It was because my nosebleeds dripped down as I opened my mouth.
