[On the outskirts of Empire, village bordering Amleth]
A peaceful village. Nothing special about it. Just a village you can find almost anywhere. There's a farmer, there's a shop that sells basic necessities. There's also children running around, like every village has. Truly, nothing out of the ordinary, but somehow a certain prince born from the Third Empress decided to visit here today. That's why all the villagers and the Baron are perplexed and confused when they are ordered to line up one by one like a prisoner on death row. Nursing mothers, frail old men, even babies, no one dares to obey the princess.
According to the boastful prince, an elite soldier sent to Emas has failed in his mission, and to add insult to injury, instead of dying like the others, in exchange for his life, he reveals everything he knows about the plan to the authority of Emas. The prince, knowing this, is furious and has come here to teach every citizen of the realm a lesson about their duties to the royalty.
"This is the Devil King's flame that they've successfully retrieved, I wonder, you're the bastard's little brother, surely, as his closest family, you should take the blame as well" [Prince].
"Please! He's only ten, please... Urghhh!" [Valerie]
"A lowly woman doesn't know her position, I didn't order you to speak, yet you have the nerve to do so... Oh well, let this be a lesson to others not to speak before I allow it!" [Prince]
A special container containing the Devil King's fire. Even though the container is made of ice from Mt. Olympus, whoever touches it can still feel the Devil King's flame, a testament to the Devil King's power over fire. The daughter and son of the woman who dared to speak to the boastful prince were bound together, and the prince, grinning, used the Devil King's flame on the bound children.
"No! No! No!" [Valerie]
"Oh, don't worry, you're next... Watch your son and daughter burn to dust... Watch... Their silence screams. It's just too hot to make a sound. Truly fascinating" [Prince].
"My daughter! My son! Please, someone! Somebody! Goddess!" (I will kill him! I swear I will kill him with the exact fire!) [Valerie]
She watches as the devil king's black flame burns her children alive. The horrified look on their faces. They wanted to scream, but they could not. They wanted to cry, but their tear ducts were burned. They wanted to escape, but the warrior accompanying the prince prevented them by placing them in a seal of magic. Unfortunately, the magic seal was nothing compared to the devil king's fire. However, each time the magic seal was burned, they simply made a new one.
"Please stop! Goddess! Somebody help them! [Valerie]
Instead of the goddess, a certain being answered her prayer. In confusion, the mother uttered the word
"THE THING?" [Valerie]
The devil king's flame quickly went to the mother and enveloped her. The pain is so great, but unlike the children, the mother screams. A scream so loud that it deafened the ears of everyone around her. No, the scream contains traces of the Devil King's power, as the sound of the scream carries the Devil King's fire mana with it, melting everyone's ears and sparing no one.
"Urghhhh! What is this! How does she know about THAT THING!" [Prince]
"AAAAAAAAARGGHHHHHHHHHHH!" [Valerie]
"Valerie! Stop it!"
"My ear! It's melting!"
"Please stop, my babies were just born, please Valerie!"
"Pain... Pain..." [Valerie]
The mother, in pain, continues to scream. The louder she screams, the more the others are in pain. It's an endless cycle until
"God damn it! If only that little girl from Amleth didn't interfere with our plan! Hey, get us out of here! Aren't you a mighty warrior from the village of Aru?" [Prince]
(Girl from Amleth...) [Valerie]
"Yes, sir!"
The one from Aru Village, who had previously used the same device when she escaped from the hero of Amleth Nar, activated the same device to teleport them all out. The mother, even in absolute pain, somehow understands that they will escape, as she tried to burn them all alive, but failed. Enraged by her failure, she lets the pain get the better of her, and soon the flames erupt, completely destroying the village and leaving no trace. The fire exploded violently as it grew larger and larger, so much so that it could engulf the entirety of the village where she was born, where she grew up, and where she has lived all her life.
"Amleth..." [Valerie].
She's not sure why she even muttered the word Amleth. She's just in so much pain that she's starting to lose consciousness, doing everything in her power to suppress the pain, not realizing that she's actually moving towards the land of Amleth.
As she walks toward Amleth, everything in her path burns to ashes. Nothing remains. Plants, corpses of her loved ones and friends. The sky above her grows darker, probably from the smoke, or probably from the Devil King's fire, or maybe both. The sounds that accompany her are the sounds of things burning, with her occasional scream because of the surge of pain before she passes out again, and yet, each time before she passes out.
"My sons... My daughter... My son... My daughter... My son... My daughter..." [Valerie]
