The earth shakes with every step. The forest cries out for help as the usually tame and docile Adamantoise suddenly become hostile. Bird trying to fly away. Lion hiding in the cave with a bear. Tree, can only pray to the Goddess herself to save them. With every step, with every breath, it comes closer and closer. It spreads its miasma all around. THE THING controls not only Adamantoise, but also the creature in its mountainous shell. Pterodactyl. Gargoyles. Giant earth centipede. They're all affected.
A monster with very high Earth Mana affinity, followed by Nature Mana affinity. This will be a tough fight. Most elves have a similar affinity to Adamantoise, and when a weaker one collides with the stronger one, the result is a no-brainer.
There are few documented cases of Adamantoise attacks, and even fewer regarding its technique. Usually, its giant stomp, clad with a high Earth Mana spell, will cause a devastating earthquake along with a crater the size of a city. Truly, a monster of its own class. The thought of fighting it makes me break out in a cold sweat. It is strong, but

The four of us, at the end of the line. Fie has used a spell to enlarge himself so that both Grandma Farhah and I can ride him, while Mr. Apollo is by our side, acting as our personal bodyguard.
His bow, rightly called Parhelion, was made by none other than Brokkr himself, our country's greatest blacksmith. It's big and shines like a sun, fitting for its owner, who specializes in fire and light mana. Each blinding shot, with high speed and power behind it, one shot and no human traces left behind. Their bodies burned away
Sister Khamisah in the front, next to the General of the Elven Kingdom. Strong and fearless, that's my big sister! She's well respected among the elves. I heard that she played an important role in this land before, I wonder what happened. It must be a story of epic proportions!

At her call, the archers start shooting their arrows at the incoming gargoyle and pterodactyl. Their thick, rock-covered skins make ordinary arrows bounce. Ineffective, so a more specialized mineral is required, or
"Burn Away [Apollo]
A shot that instantly kills three giant gargoyles and two giant pterodactyls. Blink and you miss. It pierces through their bodies, leaving a trail of flashing light and causing the victims' bodies to burn away. But it comes at a price. One, the special arrows, again produced by Brokkr (of which there are still plenty, fortunately), and another
"Sigh... My mana..." [Apollo]
"Are you okay?" [Diana]
"I can do another 6-7 shots before I need a mana potion" [Apollo]
"Can't you shoot normally?" [Diana]
"I can, but they'll miss in my flashiness" [Apollo]

The attack from a smaller creature continues. Giant centipedes start attacking us from underground. Gorillas start throwing rocks at us. Bird starts urinating to obstruct us. The forest is in chaos. Fortunately
"Calm down. I am here for all of you" [Farhah].
"It's okay. There's nothing to fear with us here" [Diana].
With our wands in hand, we vanquish THE THING and begin to calm the forest. The animals and monsters affected by THE THING are stunned, but as soon as they realize that a rampaging Adamantoise is coming their way, their instincts kick in and they start running away, not even bothering us anymore.
"Oh Goddess!"
"It suddenly lifts its foot higher!"
"The Adamantoise will stamp and cause an earthquake!"
"A surge of earth mana is coming from it!"
"Be careful, everyone, take cover behind it!" [Khamisah]
"Behind what?"
"Sister Khamisah, I'll assist you! Lady Gaia! Help strengthen Sister Khamisah's body! Defense up! Attack up! Attack up! Great Attack up! Recover up! Magic up! [Diana]
I use every spell possible to strengthen Sister Khamisah. Since I know what she will do, I ask Lady Gaia, the Earth Fairy blessing within me, to help her.
