Steve had learned a lot about the ancient times from the Apollo battleship. The more he understood, the more he felt that the history of human evolution was too short and that humans lacked knowledge about the genetic evolution.
Although there was a systematic evolutionary approach, there were also many deficiencies. An example would be the categorization of F-class weapons.
The weapons that were used by the Original Beings and the weapons that were commonly used were all uniformly categorized as F-class weapons. But, in fact, F-class weapons could be divided into several different classes, with the power of first-class weapons and second-class weapons differing greatly.
For example, Steve's Ghost Hunter's Blade belonged among the second-class weapons, as it was much stronger than ordinary and first-class weapons. Far superior were the weapons that Steve had retrieved from the Apollo battleship, which were mostly fifth-class and sixth-class weapons.
Among these weapons, the Blessed Ring of Earth and the mimetic weapons belonged to the highest level, which was the seventh-class. As such, even one with a basic cell value of 1,000 points would be able to use them.
"If a third-class armored robot can fight a level-one evolved being, does that mean that a higher class armored robot is even more powerful than that?" Steve speculated.
"That's true in theory, but with the current technology of Blue Star humans, the highest level of armored robots made ranked in the fourth-class. However, even with their maximum abilities, the robots could only do harm to a level-one evolved being, not kill it," the Heart of the Universe said. "Master, if you wish to kill a level-one evolved being, you will need to get an armored robot that is at least fifth-class and above from the ancient relics."
Steve frowned. The Blue Star Continent's human technology was still lagging behind, as the highest level weapons they had developed were only fifth-class, and their most powerful armored robot was only fourth-class. Also, Blue Star humans could only acquire weapons of the sixth or seventh class from the ancient relics, which meant that they would have to take huge risks to attain them.
Steve was wondering if he could acquire the weapons that he wanted from the Apollo battleship. At this point, the brain wave fusion had reached 60% and continued to rise.
61%...62%...63%...64%...65%...66%...
When the degree of brain wave fusion was more than 65%, Steve began to feel that his brain was under an invisible mental pressure. However, this force was still quite weak and so it was temporarily acceptable.
"Brain wave fusion 62%. No. 43, you have reached your limit! Stop testing!"
"Brain wave fusion 65%. No. 21, you have reached your limit! Stop testing!"
"Brain wave fusion 66%. No. 31, No. 13, and No. 47, you have also reached your limits! Stop testing!"
When brain wave fusion reached 66%, the remaining 15 people, most of whom could not bear the pressure, had to stop testing altogether. When it reached 68%, there were only four people left to continue the test.
This result was unexpected, especially to Leopold. For a brain wave fusion to reach up to 60%, that meant that the subject was a rare genius!
"Who are the remaining four?" Leopold immediately asked.
"The remaining four are Steve, Stuart, Lucy and Sophia," Derek looked at the information and answered.
"Haha, Steve didn't disappoint us!" Quentin burst out laughing. He had been optimistic about Steve's potential, and now it had been proven that he was looking at the right person all along!
"We expected Steve to excel, but it was surprising to see that Stuart, Lucy, and Sophia were able to persist as well!" Spencer exclaimed.
Leopold nodded and smiled. In addition to Steve, the other three persons had been outstanding in yesterday's battle. However, no one had expected them to have such potential in the armored robot test as well.
The crowd was unaware that the reason why both Sofia and Lucy were able to withstand the strong mental pressure was because they had been taking the Red Night's Blood. Since the Red Night's Blood contained the diluted form of the seven-colored energy serum, although they lacked spiritual power training, the energy contained in it was able to influence their spiritual strength. As a result, the spiritual power of both Lucy and Sofia were stronger than the others.
As to why Stuart was able to persist for such a long time, he had relied on the power of the Erinnyes' evil god. Although he was a servant of the evil god, he still benefited greatly from it.
As the brain wave fusion continued, once the number reached 70%, one of the four people could not bear the pressure any longer. So, they had to finish the test.
"One that has a brain wave fusion of 70% would be considered as an elite trump card in the Wander City State and would be trained as a trump card driver," Vanessa said with admiration.
The armored robot unit of the Wander City State was naturally stronger than the one in the Stanlos Base Camp. Only a rare genius would have a brain wave fusion of 70%, so he or she would be nurtured as a trump card and receive a lot of resources!
In the history of all of the military base camps, there had never been a genius with a brain wave fusion of 70%! And this time, there was more than one!
"There are three left, and they will be even better that 70%! Haha, but I don't know how much longer they will last." Leopold was laughing. If these people were trained well, the Man Hani Battlefront would also have trump card drivers!
In a battlefield, a trump card driver could fight several ordinary drivers by himself, thus playing a decisive role in a critical period. Getting four trump card drivers in one go, Leopold was beyond giddy!
But, when brain wave fusion reached 72%, one of them could not bear the mental pressure and was forced to end the test.
"Brain wave fusion 72%. No. 6, you have reached the limit. Stop testing."
"Brain wave fusion 75%. No. 8, you have reached the limit. Stop testing."
Before long, two more persons had reached their limits and stopped testing. Now, only one of the remaining three was left!
Looking at the results of these two people, everyone in the Institute tried to contain their excitement. If another person wasn't still testing, they would have cheered and celebrated right then and there!
"Those percentages are good. They have great potential!" Spencer laughed.
The two persons who just finished the test had now been listed as reserved trump cards and would be trained as such in the future. But, the most important one would be the one who had yet to finish the test.
Everyone's eyes were on him, as they were wondering how long he would last.
"Steve did not disappoint everyone!" Quentin's fists clenched excitedly and his voice trembled. He then asked, "Will he be the first genius in our base camp to exceed 80%?"
"Brain wave fusion degree is 80% now! This is unimaginable! Can he really do this?" Spencer was a little nervous.
"It's impossible. Brain wave fusion is 80%. Even in the Wander City State, there are no more than three people with this ability. It's impossible for such a genius to appear in such a small place like the Stanlos Base Camp!" Vanessa shook her head at once, thinking this was way too unrealistic.
