In no time, a huge blue corpse floated up to the surface of the sea.

The people on the island were completely stunned.

"The Blue Dragon God... is dead!"

Moments later, a black head emerged next to the corpse of the Blue Dragon God, with a small figure lying on top of it.

"Captain!" Armin flew over, picked up Raine, and brought him back to the warship.

Raine wasn't unconscious this time, just completely drained of strength. Fortunately, Blacky had saved him in time.

After a short rest, Raine stood up with the help of the others. He glanced at the corpse and let out a long sigh of relief. "Onebear, tie the BlueDragon's corpse to the back of the ship, and let's dock."

"Yes, Captain!"

The battle ended, and hundreds of aircraft landed one after another. 29 warships sailed towards the island.

As the ship prepared to dock, the crowded beach suddenly erupted with screams. The islanders who had been watching the spectacle fled in terror, leaving Raine and the others baffled.

"What's going on..." Raine's voice was weak, as he had exhausted himself earlier. He just wanted to find a place to rest, but instead, he was met with a group of people making a fuss.

"They might have mistaken us for people from another fleet," Olivia suggested. "Captain, should we go up?"

"Wait a bit. I'm tired. If someone comes, you guys talk to them. I'm going back to my room to rest."

Raine slept for three days. When he opened his eyes, he found that the environment around him had changed dramatically.

As he disembarked from the ship, the islanders who saw him all knelt down and murmured, "Hail to the Sea God."

Frowning, Raine finally found Avril and the others.

"Sea God, you have arrived!" A man in his fifties saw Raine and quickly knelt down.

"Captain, this is the island's chief, Old Layte," Avril introduced.

Raine stepped forward to help Old Layte up, and the older man was both surprised and grateful. "Thank you, Sea God."

"I'm not any Sea God," Raine said. "Avril, have we confirmed the details about the mine?"

Old Layte interjected, "Sea God, you have defeated the Black Dragon God and the Blue Dragon God, proving that you are the Sea God. It is our honor to serve you. Leave the mining to us. We will do our best to complete the task you have entrusted to us!"

Raine shook his head, "Layte, I'm really not the Sea God. I will provide you with equipment, and our crew will cooperate with you in the mining process. However, we will be leaving for the next island after some time."

"Please rest assured, Sea God, we will complete the task!"

Raine was getting a headache, as the old man was very stubborn and insisted that he was the Sea God.

However, Raine thought about it and realized that their reverence for the Sea God seemed quite genuine. Although he wouldn't enslave them, at least he could trust them to handle the mining with respect.

With that in mind, Raine decided not to clarify any further.

"Sea God, there is just one more issue." Layte hesitated for a long time before finally speaking up.

"Yes? What's the issue? Just tell me."

"Sea God, our island's mineral resources are quite abundant. In the past, we used to mine some to exchange for daily necessities with the Safe Sea Zone. Later, the Safe Sea Zone included us in their jurisdiction, requiring us to supply a certain amount of ore every year... We are more than happy to mine the ore for you, Sea God, but could we deduct the portion required for the Safe Sea Zone?"

Raine's brows furrowed. "They don't protect you but still include you in their jurisdiction? What are they thinking?!"

"No need to exchange ore with them anymore. I will give you pearls to purchase your necessities directly," Raine said indignantly.

He was in urgent need of supplies now. He could easily meet the islanders' normal demands, but if other fleets wanted a share, that was absolutely impossible!

"But, Sea God, they might not be happy about this..."

"Unhappy? I don't care if they're unhappy!" Raine snorted. "When will they come to collect the ore?"

"About a month from now."

"Alright, I got it. I'll handle this matter. You just focus on mining."

………………………

The underwater mining operation was proceeding smoothly. With the experience gained from the first mining operation and the experienced islanders working together, the facilities were quickly constructed and operational.

Raine had reorganized the fleet but did not leave as planned. He was waiting for those who would come to collect the ore.

A month later, a fleet appeared on the sea surface. There were not many warships, about a dozen or so, with the largest one being a large battleship.

Upon hearing the news, Raine, Old Layte, and many islanders went to the pier.

Raine's fleet was more than twenty nautical miles away, working on the mining operation, so the people who landed on the island did not notice anything unusual.

Soon, more than a thousand crew members disembarked from the ships, with a middle-aged black-bearded man from the battleship leading the group.

"Old Layte, where's this year's ore?" The man lazily walked over and asked loudly.

Raine remained silent, letting Old Layte speak with the man first.

Layte was unsure of how to proceed and stammered, "Well, Captain Ivan, we... we won't be exchanging ore for supplies in the future."

Ivan's previously leisurely expression turned cold in an instant. He walked up to Old Layte, squinting slightly, "Old Layte, I didn't hear you wrong, did I? We've sheltered you for so long, and now you want to break away from us?"

Old Layte was overwhelmed by Ivan's imposing manner, and his voice grew weaker and weaker. "But, but, apart from the Dragon God, we don't face many dangers here, and you have never sent troops to help us. Ever since you included our island in your jurisdiction and lowered our ore prices by fifty percent, we... we haven't received the protection we deserve."

"No protection!" Ivan roared. "Are you kidding me?"

Watching Ivan's rant, Olivia couldn't bear it any longer. She walked over to Old Layte and said to Ivan, "You've done nothing, and you still claim to have protected them? You haven't even sent anyone to help them mine the ores!"

"They were risking their lives mining the ores in the first place, and you still squeezed them for half the price. It seems to me that you're not protecting them at all; you're exploiting their labor!"

Ivan's gaze lifted and scanned Olivia twice. "Little girl, who are you?"

"I'm just passing by!" Olivia didn't back down to Ivan.

Ivan lowered his voice and said harshly, "Just passing by? Fine, I don't care who you are, but be careful what you say! Do you know what their biggest protection is? It's that we haven't attacked their island!"

Old Layte retreated in fear.

"I'm giving you three days to prepare the ores. Don't even think about getting any exchange goods. The only thing you can get now is a chance to keep on living! Otherwise, I'll annihilate all of you right now!"

Old Layte and the islanders were terrified, their faces pale. They all looked pleadingly at a young man in the crowd.
