Rachel removes her VR helm and sees to herself that she has taken care of her notes, sending them in her properly secured tablet.

Standing up from her bed, while still in pajamas, she realizes how messy she looks. Today is Sunday, and she should rest well, yet she cannot find herself doing so as there is still so much to do.

It has been a year since Kim Hajin’s disappearance, and the team… is managing just fine. Kim Suho has dropped out of Cube and is now working for the Hero Association. Chae Nayun is still taking the Hero Course in great strides and is maintaining the Rank 1 seat perpetually until graduation. Shin Jonghak… well, he is missing. Hyon Hyung has shifted to another course, a more academic course. He is actually taking a dual course, one is Technology Innovation, and two is History and Literature.

Then there is Rachel. Publicly, she has dropped out of Cube and has taken the mantle as England’s Queen making her the youngest ruler of the current era. There have been dissenters and a lot of fighting, but with Sinful’s resources, and efforts, they manage to quell it.

There has been exponential growth in their ranks, giving each member their own freedom to parent an organization of their own. Rachel ambitiously ties the whole of England to their organization. At first, the others are reluctant to her eagerness to tie her whole country to their organization, but Rachel manages to convince them in the end.

As a result, England has become an important asset for their organization.

Rachel has been taking great steps as both the Queen of England and a crucial member of Sinful. With a whole nation’s weight, Sinful can do more things than what they are limited to do when they are just a club.

“To be honest, I miss my normal life,” Rachel grooms herself, combs her hair, and chooses to wear the most comfortable dress she can find. “I wonder what is next? It has been a year already…” She thinks aloud as she dyes her hair brown.

Though publicly, Rachel has come to return to England and should have dropped out. In actuality, and with utmost secrecy, she actually remains within Cube.

There are two intents for Rachel doing this: first is so that she can mislead Lancaster, and second is so that Rachel can begin her own personal project here within Cube.

Each member of Sinful is doing their part, though mostly they focus on their own personal projects.

“Hmmm…” Rachel wears a digitally hollowed face mask, or DHF for short. It is another of the technology that the Cube AI has been hoarding.

According to Hyon Hyung, his synchronization rate has been increasing steadily and he is unlocking all sorts of technology from Cube’s database. The DHF is a kind of special mask that disguises a person from how exactly they look like— an instant makeup of sorts but with a hologram.

Rachel leaves her dorm, wearing a modest dress, with measured steps. She is heading to the library to meet with her contact. There is a new mission for her to do. The Hero Association targeting their own is a very unheroic thing to do, and Rachel will love to mess with them. There is this mischievous part in her that has been starting to bud.

This ‘spy work’ is fun in its own way.

In the big picture, the reason why Rachel is here in Cube is so that she can spread her people from her intelligence agency. It is a cover she has meticulously prepared for a greater purpose. Admittedly, the inspiration has come from the Djinns.

The Djinns have done extremely well in sneaking their own people to Cube, and at the same time, recruiting Cube Cadets from the inside to defect and become Djinns themselves. It is an insane scheme… a jab directly at the Hero Association.

It is a very shameful development that even to this day, the word ‘Cube’ has become a taboo word for the association!

According to Suho, no one talks about Cube nowadays in the Hero Association.

Rachel is doing something similar to what the Djinns have done. Originally, England’s way of doing things is that they sponsor a citizen, like a scholarship, and when they finish their course in Cube, they will have to pay back in the form of work.

The problem with this method is Korea always ‘outbuys’ England. Honestly, it is cheating. Korea will pay the penalty for violating the contract, and the 'Hero' that England has worked hard on sponsoring will happily choose to join Korea… because why not?

Korea is the strongest superpower out there as a nation with the most Heroes worldwide!

As Rachel comes to see it, it is cheating!

That is why Rachel now uses a different approach. After studying how Cube allocates its resources, and providing evidence through statistics, Rachel has devised a plan to recruit loyal members to her purpose.

Since they cannot openly advertise Sinful, Rachel uses her country as a front… that is how she rebuilt MI6. It is a daring plan. With Cube AI’s assistance, it is impossible for Rachel to get caught. Of course, she might be getting arrogant, but that is how much confidence she has.

When it comes to human resources within Sinful, Rachel has the most people adding what she has outside of Cube (England’s subjects, and more). Next is Hyon Hyung with his private military mainly composed of Djinns. Kim Suho is also starting to create his own forces. Chae Nayun though while she has the least amount of people in her direct influence, she has Chae Joochul.

Rachel’s recruitment is frankly direct… the incentives she gives the cadets are fairly simple— power. Cube AI has all sorts of technology not to mention ‘arts’ that the Great Sage has similarly hoarded for a long time.

Cube Cadets tend to be inferior not because they are not working hard enough. It is because of a lack of resources. That is what Rachel can give through Sinful. For safe measure, anyone who joins Rachel’s MI6 will be properly ‘educated’ of the consequences. It is nothing so brutal.

For now, it seems the pills that can make people forget are enough countermeasures. It is a pill reverse-engineered from the one that Kim Hajin made for each member of Sinful. A psychically invoked pill when a person thinks of betrayal, they will immediately forget important information that might reveal Sinful.

In extreme cases, every executive member of MI6 of a certain rank has downloaded a kind of ‘AI System’ that observes them secretly… which is super illegal.

To take Rachel’s recruitment one step further, she also recruits the parents of the cadets… of course, she filters them and only recruits the most capable and malleable. This is a far easier scheme than Rachel imagines. Apparently, a parent’s desire to see their children grow is a very strong impetus. Rachel also has made them eat the same pill.

Rachel has truly achieved a lot in the past year.

When Rachel arrives at the library, she sees the person she is looking for.

“Eliza? Hey…” Sven, the blonde-haired German smiles as he hands USB to her, “This was what my mom got… It seemed that Germany is really developing illegal bio weaponry…”

Sven is a character meant to die from his misguided sense of inferiority. Rachel fleetingly recalls his story from TNE. Now, however, Sven has come under Rachel’s wings. Of course, Sven doesn’t know her as Rachel, but Hyon Eliza, step-sister to Hyon Hyung.

One thing leads to another… and some things cannot be taken back, so Rachel has to deal with this identity… “Good,” Rachel sits beside Sven as she reads a book she swipes from one corner. “Your contribution points have increased by 500. You can use it to buy in the System Shop.”

“Hehehe…” Sven bashfully laughs. “I am saving my CP so that I can buy the thing I wanted.”

Rachel adds in a whisper, using her wind elementalism to send the words to Sven’s ears. “There will be a high-profile mission soon. It is an MI6 job. Gather a squad, a maximum of four. You will lead it. The reward is 900 Contribution Points. I will send you the details later…”

“Ooh, a German working for England now, is it?” Sven feels guilty at the moment, but he did read the pamphlet so he knows what he is getting into. “How is your step-bro, Eliza? I know that it is against the rules to pry on the identity of other agents, but since you are his step-sister, isn’t it quite obvious he is an agent too?”

It is that ‘step’ thingy again… It is honestly bothersome, but as Rachel comes to embrace the role, she realizes it is not so bad at all. “Don’t get my brother involved…” Rachel inwardly cringes.

‘I hate you, Hyon!’

Rachel walks away, annoyed, but feeling whimsical… “A brother, huh?”
