Kim Hajin sits on a crate, eyeing me with suspicion as the abandoned factory reverberates with the eerie sounds of clacking bones and machinery. My newly gained necromancy powers may be lacking, but I manage.

"Thanks, pal, for bringing me some stuff from the outside. The parts you brought really amped up my progress… Now, I can be more ambitious with building this tech," I say, breaking the uneasy silence.

Kim Hajin responds with a skeptical look, adjusting his glasses before speaking, "I am still suspicious about your story, and everything you claim sounds like a boorish conspiracy to me. The only reason I have agreed to a deal with you is out of mutual benefit."

"Yeah, I know, I know… I am not really expecting you to believe me outright, but I really need your help. The way I am now, I am basically trapped in this abandoned factory since I have been designated as a monster," I admit, my tone reflecting the urgency of my predicament.

Kim Hajin narrows his eyes, tapping his fingers on the crate in a rhythmic manner. "Mutual benefit, huh? It better be substantial, or you'll regret dragging me into this."

I nod, understanding his reservations. "Look, I get it. My crazy talk and all that jazz sound crazy. But I promise you, once I finish this tech, we'll both be sitting pretty. I just need time and a little assistance."

Kim Hajin remains stoic, unconvinced. "Fine, but if this turns out to be some elaborate ruse, you won't like the consequences. What exactly do you need from me?"

Relieved at his cautious cooperation, I explain, "Just help me navigate through the city. I need specific components for my project, and you know this place better than anyone. Plus, having someone watching my back wouldn't hurt."

Kim Hajin smirks, his suspicion slightly easing. "Watching your back, huh? I didn't sign up for bodyguard duty. Though I believe I have brought you plenty of parts already…" His eyes turn to the pile of junk in one corner of the room.

I offer a reassuring smile, "Think of it more as a partnership, a duo working towards a common goal. And who knows, once this is over, we might just come out on top in this messed-up world."

Kim Hajin grunts in acknowledgment, still not fully sold on my grand plan. "We'll see about that. But remember, one wrong move, and our partnership ends faster than you can summon those bones."

I nod solemnly, acknowledging the gravity of the situation. The clacking bones and distant machinery provide a haunting backdrop to our uneasy alliance, though I am not really that uneasy about it.

“Now, let’s get the show on the road,” I order my undead skeletons to bring the product. “I present to you the most badass and sickest motorbike I have ever created!”

The air is thick with unspoken tension as Kim Hajin and I stand before the peculiar-looking motorbike. Its frame is a chaotic amalgamation of metal and monstrous bones, creating a vehicle that seems to belong to the realm of nightmares. I gesture towards it with a smirk.

"Quite a beast, isn't it? If this thing catches fire, it might as well be the Ghost Rider's ride."

Kim Hajin's expression remains stoic, his attention fixed on the ominous machine. Without acknowledging my attempt at humor, he takes a seat on the unsettling creation. I raise an eyebrow at his lack of response.

"Tough crowd, huh?" I murmur.

Kim Hajin's gaze meets mine, piercing and serious. He's not here for jokes. He begins to clarify our agreement, his voice steady. "Our contract is clear. In exchange for my tracking of Rachel, you provide me with a safe haven in your timeline."

I nod solemnly, understanding the gravity of our pact. "You have my word, Hajin. I won't go back on it. This ride of yours will secure you a channel to jump from one reality to another, awesome isn’t it? It will be energy consuming though…"

As Hajin revs up the eerie motorbike, I catch a glimpse of the misery in Kim Hajin's eyes. His past, haunted by the death of his parents, weighs heavily on him.

Time seems elusive, and I can't pinpoint how long it's been since my own resurrection, but I sense that more than a couple of months have slipped away. I sigh. I don’t know much about the Kim Hajin in front of me, but I know that he loves his parents.

Kim Hajin is a stark embodiment of ruggedness. I can only imagine his difficulties. His clothes, tattered rags clinging to his frame, speak of battles fought and hardships endured. The lines etched across his face form a testament to the countless challenges he has faced, forging an expression so hardened, that it seems to defy the very notion of a smile.

I find it hard to fathom the existence of a joyful Kim Hajin, given the somber figure that looms before me. This version of him exudes an aura of cold determination, as if every ounce of warmth has been drained from his being. His eyes, sharp and focused, reveal a depth of experience that transcends the present moment.

"I don't remember you being capable of using magic power," I raise an eyebrow, a curious smile playing on my lips. “This is interesting.”

Kim Hajin smirks, his eyes glinting with a hint of mischief. "Why? Did your timeline's version of me unable to use it?"

I chuckle, a low, confident sound. "The other you are impressively creative. The Kim Hajin of my timeline gave up his affinity with magic power in exchange for improving his talents via a unique physique."

Kim Hajin nods thoughtfully, processing the information. "Hmmm… I feel like the other me in your timeline has some ridiculous cheats."

Kim Hajin secures his guns to the holsters decorating the motorbike. He places his shotgun by the handle, his rifle by his right side at the back, while his handgun remains by his waist. The motorbike registers Hajin’s magic power signature, causing bluish flames to cover the vehicle with its rider.

"Wow! Yeah, just wow!" I remark, unable to contain my amazement.

Hajin, a bit prickly, glances at me. "What?"

"I was just marveling at the whole flaming motorbike thing. It's pretty badass," I say with a grin.

He grunts in response, seemingly unimpressed. "Don't act like you've never seen magic before. And I reckon you did this by design…"

I chuckle. "Fair point, but flaming magical motorbikes are a rarity!"

Ignoring my comment, he starts revving the engine. I seize the opportunity to lighten the mood. "Hey, need a skull mask? You know, to complete the whole mysterious rider look."

Hajin shoots me a deadpan look. "Go suck your dick."

I snidely remark, "I might not be able to do that for obvious reasons, now that I'm just bones. Clearly, an undead creature here!"

He rolls his eyes. "You're such an asshole."

I take it as a compliment, grinning. "Thank you, Hajin. I pride myself on it."

The air is charged with anticipation as Kim Hajin eagerly straddles his sleek motorbike, the hum of its engine vibrating through the air. His eyes gleam with determination as he revs the engine, ready to embark on the quest that lies ahead. But I, standing nearby, caution him against excessive excitement.

"Hey, Hajin, slow down a bit. It's not as straightforward as you think," I warn, holding up a small, peculiar-looking smartwatch in my hands. It's crafted from the intestines of Kobold Mages and Goblin Shamans, and the visible oddities are enough to make anyone uneasy. At its center, an eyeball moves in a disconcerting manner.

Hajin eyes the watch with a mixture of curiosity and disgust. "What's with this thing? And why does it look so... wrong?"

With a knowing smile, I slip the magical smartwatch onto Hajin's wrist. "This is a specially crafted device. It's not about how it looks; it's about what it can do."

As the watch settles on his wrist, I begin explaining its capabilities. "This watch is your key to tracking Rachel and Evandel. You can access it using either your magic power or your mental connection to it." With a subtle gesture, a hologram materializes above the watch, capturing Hajin's attention.

"You see this hologram? It's your gateway to information and navigation. But first, you need to reach a 'Threshold' of Leylines. It's the only way to travel to another timeline," I elaborate, watching as Hajin absorbs the information.

Hajin, still slightly skeptical, asks, "And how am I supposed to know all this?"

I tap the side of the smartwatch, activating a display that reveals a series of uploaded documents. "I've compiled everything you need to know in here. Study these documents, and you'll be on your way."

Hajin nods, a newfound determination in his eyes. The smartwatch may be unconventional, but its mystical origins and capabilities are now a crucial part of his quest.

Kim Hajin shoves me away, deftly manipulating his smartwatch to tuck in the hologram it summoned. "I got this," he says, a confident smirk playing on his lips.

"I trust you," I reply, watching as he navigates the holographic interface with ease. Our agreement is verbal, but I believe in Hajin's commitment to our pact.

"I'll stick to our contract," Hajin reassures me, his eyes focused on the small holographic display he deftly summoned just small enough for him to navigate with ease. His words alleviate any lingering doubts.

As he continues his inspection with his gear, a mischievous thought crosses my mind. If push comes to shove, I can always remind him of the parasitic nature of the smartwatch I bestowed upon him. But for now, that remains my little secret.

"After tracking Rachel and Evandel," I instruct, drawing his attention, "you'll need to escort them to the 666th Timeline."

Hajin nods, understanding the gravity of the task ahead. "Got it," he replies, determination etched on his face.

"We'll meet again in a few years," I tell him, though time is relative. For me, it will be decades before our paths cross again, but for Hajin, it will feel like mere years.

Hajin revs up his motorbike, the sound echoing through the abandoned factory. With a final nod, he accelerates and drives out, leaving me with the assurance that our intertwined fates will meet once more.
