Ethan’s quick recovery was probably due to Tanisiel’s constant care. It seemed that he had never returned to the temple. Ethan asked him how his trip to the temple the last time was and whether Theonile had made trouble for him, but he just perfunctorily replied that he would wait until Ethan got better before telling him.

As of now, Ethan has just woken up from a short nap. As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Tanisiel sitting on the wide window sill with his left knee bent. He was wearing a very secular-style white coat and dark blue trousers, and in his arms was a paperback book. He was concentrating on reading it. He had a cup of steaming tea in his hand, and the steam and rosy light coming in from the window were entangling with the priest’s soft curly hair.

Ethan simply laid on his side, and his lips could not help but curve into a smile. The feeling of warmth and sleepiness had yet to fade, his body was still trapped in the soft bedding, and he could gaze at his beautiful lover in this manner. This was probably what happiness felt like, right?

Probably aware of Ethan’s fiery gaze, Tanisiel raised his head and gave Ethan a smile.

“Are you peeping at me?”

Ethan smiled and covered his head with the quilt. After a while, he felt the quilt being pulled down. Tanisiel laid on him with his chin resting on the back of his hand and looked at him with a pair of clear gray eyes. “Why aren’t you looking at me now?”

“I’m tired of looking at you,” Ethan laughed and said. When Tanisiel deliberately showed him an aggrieved expression, Ethan added, “I can’t see your face clearly anyway.”

His myopia was not severe, but the distance from the bed to the window wasn’t quite manageable for his eyes. Now, he regretted that he hadn’t squeezed out some time to get his vision correction surgery done.

However, strangely, when Ethan mutated, he did not seem to be affected by his myopia and could see everything clearly. Moreover, a few days ago, although he was always in a state of extreme fatigue and had a low fever, his perception seemed to be more acute, and his vision was clearer than now.

Tanisiel reached out and touched his eyelids. “The Eves’ planet only has a few places that specialize in making glasses, but I can ask the housekeeper to go look around for one.”

“It doesn’t matter. Even though it’s fuzzy around me, the world seems like a better place.” After Ethan sat up and leaned forward, he was close to the priest’s face. The two people’s bodies momentarily froze, and an ambiguous vibe started brewing in the narrow space.

It was unknown who made a move first. Ethan closed his eyes, and his lips were met with a pair of soft lips. His loose pajamas slid down one shoulder and soon grew disheveled due to the priest’s embrace. He felt his hands being pulled apart and held down as the kiss became more and more intense. His tongue was teased and twined, their saliva was exchanged, and their bodies burned. The priest raised his head slightly and gazed earnestly at Ethan’s face. Ethan felt that he had never been stared at so attentively by the priest before, and he looked away, feeling a little embarrassed. “Hey, don’t do such a thing in broad daylight. You are a priest.”

“I just feel that the more I look, the better you look.” The priest’s voice was hoarse, and it sounded very sexy.

Ethan swallowed his saliva, tentatively raising his leg and rubbing the priest’s body where something was growing bigger. The priest uttered a low moan, half chagrined and half horny, and bit Ethan on the neck, causing the Beta to utter a cry.

“Stop biting me. No matter how much you bite me, I won’t have an Omega’s gland,” Ethan joked, but he felt somewhat lost because of Tanisiel’s instinctive desire to mark an Omega,

He would never be able to give the priest the ultimate satisfaction and sense of unification.

The priest seemed to be aware of the slight fluctuation in his mood, and his expression softened. He traced Ethan’s cheek with the back of his right hand and outlined his clavicle. “I don’t want to bite Omegas. I just want to bite you.”

Ethan felt that he was about to melt under the sweet nothings whispered to him. He closed his eyes, immersed in the faint smell of bitter sandalwood from the priest.

Compared with his past sessions making love, this time, it felt milder. Maybe the priest was afraid that he had yet to fully recover and that he would injure him, so he restrained himself. Afterward, the priest turned Ethan over and lay in his arms, rubbing against his chest contentedly like a cat. This kind of appearance was very different from how the priest usually appeared in front of people. It was as if he was a child.

“Everything you want, including the Eve, will belong to you as long as you accept it. Forever and completely, he will belong to you.”

This sentence suddenly pierced his mind, and Ethan shuddered.

Tanisiel felt his abnormality and looked up at him. “What’s the matter?”

“Nothing…… Just thinking that since you are always here, could it be possible that you were expelled from priesthood?” Ethan picked up a topic at will, and in passing, he tried to probe Tanisiel.

Tanisiel heaved a long sigh, “Sigh…… it looks like I can’t hide it from you.”

“Ah???”

The priest let out a hearty laughter before straightening his body and pinching Ethan’s nose. “You’re too gullible. If you continue acting this way, you may be sold away.”

“Psycho……” Ethan rolled his eyes and kicked the priest aside.

“Don’t worry. I’m a white-robed priest, so I won’t get fired so easily. My teacher did order me to send you and Samuel back to the Earth Union, but he was temporarily convinced by what I said.”

Ethan looked at him suspiciously. “You didn’t just convince him, did you? The God of Order egg’s solution you injected in me previously…… It was only with his permission, wasn’t it?”

“Well, it was a small piece that was cut off from the egg that we took to Earth previously.”

“I’m very curious. What exactly could convince him?” Ethan asked.

“I told him that you are the only one who has been directly infected by the God of Disorder and successfully mutated. You can control the God of Order’s eggs more skillfully than the Eves. Therefore, you are a very valuable research subject for the priests of our God of Disorder faction. However, if you are sent back to the Earth Union, it is tantamount to sending you to the butcher’s hands, which will be a great loss to us Eves. As long as we do a good job of keeping you confidential, people on Earth will not have any problems if they don’t know you are here.”

“But how long will that last?” Ethan sighed, feeling more and more lost. A research subject. Sure enough, is that why Tanisiel wanted to bring him here?

What mattered to him was not Ethan but the growing forces of Disorder in his body……

In this way, a kind of resentment burned up within him. The idea of imprisoning the priest surfaced again.

Maybe he had been using the wrong strategy ever since he dated Roland. What was the use of liking someone? If the other did not like him back, it would be futile no matter what he did.

But if he was strong enough, he could forcibly seize whatever he wanted.

He quickly put down the idea and smiled. “However, given my current predicament, there is no need for me to think that far ahead.”

Tanisiel could naturally detect Ethan’s seemingly bleak mood, but he was unsure what the dark feeling was targeted towards. Maybe it was the Earth Union? Or perhaps it was Ethan himself? He knew that the forces of Disorder would affect one’s spirit. But now, the forces inside Ethan’s body should have reached equilibrium.

Fortunately, the dark feelings only lasted for a moment. It was normal for everyone to have dark thoughts in their heart, so the priest didn’t pay attention to his emotions.

.

Ethan couldn’t sleep at night, and he always felt that his room was very oppressive. It didn’t help even if he opened the window. He got up a little impatiently and went to the table to gulp down a glass of water, before opening the door and walking out.

He instinctively walked towards Tanisiel’s room to try his luck. Maybe the priest wasn’t asleep yet. However, from across a horizontal corridor, Ethan suddenly saw the priest’s door open.

Due to a series of curious coincidences, he dodged into a horizontal corridor, stuck his body against the wall, and listened to the commotion at the priest’s side.

Holding a classic candlestick in his hand and wearing his white priestly clothes, the priest quietly walked towards the stairs leading to the hall downstairs on the other side of the corridor.

It was very late now. Why was he dressed so formally?

Ethan didn’t dare to follow him. He only saw that the priest had gone down the stairs, and he approached the top of the stairs. At this moment, as long as the priest wanted to, he could sense Ethan behind him through the soul bond between them.

However, Tanisiel seemed to be preoccupied and did not sense him.

Ethan stood on the stairs and saw the priest go all the way down to the first floor. He then shifted towards the other handrail and looked down at the scene on the first floor.

Silence permeated the open hall, and the crystals on the floor reflected a dim light. The priest approached the wooden door leading to the basement, which was hidden behind several pillars. After a series of movements, he opened the door.

Ethan couldn’t see what kind of door it was, and he had simply guessed that it was a door. The figure of the priest disappeared behind the door.

Ethan hesitated on whether or not he should descend the stairs to head towards the humble old wooden door. If he hadn’t seen Tanisiel go in, he might not have even noticed the door.

He tried to push and pull, but the door didn’t budge. To the side, there was a cipher disk.

It was in front of this door that Ethan suddenly felt an unusual attraction. This attraction made him want to open the door. The air around him grew overcast and cold, and he felt like he was being watched. He had not felt the gaze for many days, but now, it seemed to have returned.

He remembered that when he had just entered the castle, the priest said that he could go anywhere, but it was better for him to avoid the basement. He had said something like it would be too humid.

Ethan waited by the door for a long time before he heard a commotion behind it. He quickly dodged behind a pillar and quietly listened to Tanisiel keying in the password before Tanisiel hurriedly left.

Ethan went back to the cipher disk. His hand held out in front of the cipher disk with his eyes shut. A few thin tentacles curled and broke out from the tips of his finger and opened the small mouth-like suction cups on their heads, shaking in the air. They had a keen sense of smell and taste and quickly distinguished which buttons had traces of Tanisiel on them.

0, 2, 3, 9.

Ethan looked at the numbers and thought about Tanisiel’s figure he had just vaguely seen. After two attempts, he fortunately heard the sound of the lock opening. Behind the door was a spiral stone staircase leading downwards. The ground was very clean, but there was a particular damp and rotten scent.

Ethan touched the wall, but he couldn’t find a light switch. He had to walk down in the dark. After taking about twenty steps, light finally appeared in front of him.

At the end of the stairs was a strange triangular stone chamber, with an oil lamp lit in each corner.

In the middle of the room, there was a square stone platform with many distorted geometric patterns repeatedly carved into it. There were some books on the stone platform, but they seemed to be very old. The paper was so thin that it seemed that it would turn to ash when touched. There were also several books that were written on leather, one of which Ethan had clearly seen previously. It was precisely what he had obtained from the strange monster called “crypt ghost” in the abandoned subway station.

As he got closer, he noticed a book placed in the center of the strange desk. There was no name on the sheepskin cover, but there were some strange and twisted triangles on it.

Wait……wasn’t this the so-called “Holy Bible” held by the grand healer on Pales when he was arrested and interrogated by those horned people?

Why was it in Tanisiel’s hands?

Ethan did not know that the horned people’s Holy Bible was stolen because he did not see Roland and company showing any interest in the book. They had left it lying on the ground without even batting an eye at it. It was just that after the event, it felt somewhat strange for the horned people to be in hot pursuit of Roland and company.

Therefore, he didn’t know that after hearing that the people from Ophiuchus Alliance suddenly left, Tanisiel guessed Roland’s intentions and rushed to the dungeon first, only to find that he was too late. He had picked up the book on the ground and pushed the theft onto the people from Ophiuchus Alliance. This way, he could not only use the horned people to help round up Roland and them but also obtain the book. It was a plan that killed two birds with one stone.

However, what shocked Ethan was not only the book.

After putting away the book, he saw a few lines carved in the Eve language on the stone platform. Although he was not proficient in the Eve language, he could understand those simple words:

The tomb of the Duke of the Western River, Lusais.

Even Ethan himself did not realize as he sucked in a breath of cold air. He stared at the “stone platform” in front of him, his mouth slightly open.

Tanisiel’s father……was buried in the basement of his castle?!

“How could that be……” he murmured.

“It was his last wish.” A sudden sound came from behind him, and Ethan’s back stiffened as he slowly turned around.

Tanisiel stood under the dim shadow cast by the light, looking at him with a slightly gloomy expression.
