Even for someone who had a rough idea of the plot, Bai Luoluo still felt that Xue Hui was shrouded in mystery.

Who was he exactly? Why did he possess such formidable abilities? And what was the purpose of the prison releasing them, sentenced criminals, onto this planet? Was it merely to entertain Xue Hui?

Xue Hui maintained an air of innocence in front of Bai Luoluo. When Bai Luoluo occasionally asked him questions, he obediently answered, yet the responses only deepened the mystery surrounding his origin.

For instance, when Bai Luoluo asked when he arrived here, Xue Hui pondered for a moment, then said he had been here since birth.

When asked about his family, Xue Hui mentioned having a father and mother, but they were both sick and didn’t like to talk. Hence, he ventured out from the heart of the jungle on his own.

Bai Luoluo dared not ask Xue Hui why he came out. He feared Xue Hui would innocently respond, “I came out to have some fun,” with Bai Luoluo being one of the sources of amusement.

Navigating through the jungle was challenging, with vines and dense undergrowth everywhere. The air was excessively humid, and rain fell three or four times a day. This weather contributed to the abundance of mosquitoes in the jungle, and they carried potent toxins. Fortunately, Bai Luoluo discovered some plants by the roadside resembling insect-repelling herbs from Earth. He collected and ground them to create a concoction to ward off insects.

Xue Hui, with his fair skin, was the mosquitoes’ favorite target. Bai Luoluo admired how he meticulously maintained his innocent image, allowing the mosquitoes to bite him, resulting in conspicuous red welts on his snow-white skin. Bai Luoluo could only help Xue Hui by preparing more herbal concoctions, applying them to his body at regular intervals.

Looking at the large welts on his arms, Xue Hui complained, “It’s so itchy.”

Bai Luoluo thought every actor had a tough job, but he still advised, “Don’t scratch. Scratching may leave scars.”

With a disgruntled hum, Xue Hui furrowed his long, pretty eyebrows. Even though Bai Luoluo knew he was pretending, he felt a bit soft-hearted. He rubbed the welts, saying, “Itchy, itchy, fly away.”

Xue Hui looked curious, asking, “Will it stop itching like this?”

Bai Luoluo replied, “Yes, it won’t itch in a while.”

Having dealt with the mosquitoes, the two continued their slow journey. In the jungle, Bai Luoluo encountered numerous flora and fauna he had never seen before, such as butterfly heads the size of brains and snakes over two meters long. While the butterflies were manageable, when Bai Luoluo saw the snake, he was genuinely startled. His initial reaction was to protect Xue Hui, gesturing for him to step back. The snake was well-hidden, and when they discovered it, it had already assumed a striking position, with vertical eyes and a hissing sound that sent shivers down the spine.

Xue Hui cooperatively showed a frightened expression, tightly gripping Bai Luoluo’s arm and softly saying, “I’m scared.”

Bai Luoluo slowly drew his **, reassuring, “Don’t be afraid.” Bai Luoluo dared not take his eyes off the snake. With a knife in his right hand and protecting Xue Hui with his left, he took slow steps backward. However, just as the two were about to exit the snake’s attack range, the snake suddenly reacted as if startled and made a move!

The snake’s head jerked up swiftly, and Bai Luoluo could only see a blur. Reacting quickly, he reached back and firmly grasped the snake’s neck. However, underestimating the snake’s length, as the snake head twisted back, it was about to bite Bai Luoluo’s arm.

Bai Luoluo felt a sudden tension in his heart but before he could react, Xue Hui, without hesitation, stepped forward and used his own arm to block the snake’s mouth.

Shocked by this scene, Bai Luoluo hurriedly raised his knife and severed the snake’s head. Despite being decapitated, the snake’s head continued to bite onto Xue Hui’s arm. Red blood flowed down Xue Hui’s arm, and Bai Luoluo quickly grabbed his arm, removed the snake head, tied a rope around Xue Hui’s arm, and opened the wound in a cross shape before rinsing it continuously with clean water.

Xue Hui, already pale, now looked paper-like, and his cherry blossom-colored lips had turned somewhat gray. Slowly, he slumped into Bai Luoluo’s arms and softly said, “It hurts.”

“It hurts, yet you dared to extend your hand!” Bai Luoluo was uncertain whether Xue Hui was acting or truly in pain. However, with the dangerous animals around, he couldn’t forgive himself if something happened to Xue Hui.

“But you would have been bitten.” Xue Hui’s long eyelashes cast a faint shadow under his eyes as he said, “I can’t bear it.”

Bai Luoluo couldn’t distinguish whether Xue Hui was pretending or genuinely in pain, but considering the perilous creatures in the jungle, he couldn’t forgive himself if something happened to Xue Hui.

“But you would have been bitten.” Xue Hui’s long eyelashes cast a faint shadow under his eyes as he said, “I can’t bear it.”

Bai Luoluo patted his forehead and said, “Don’t fall asleep.” Without hesitation, he lowered his head and began to suck forcefully at the wound on Xue Hui’s arm, trying to draw out the venom.

Xue Hui felt boneless, cradled in Bai Luoluo’s arms. He watched Bai Luoluo’s actions with a hint of satisfaction in his eyes.

Bai Luoluo’s mouth went numb from the suction before he saw the red blood again. He reached out and touched Xue Hui’s cheek, asking, “Is there anywhere uncomfortable?”

Xue Hui, covering his stomach, said, “It’s uncomfortable here…”

Bai Luoluo felt anxious. “What’s uncomfortable?”

Xue Hui said, “It feels hot and like I’m hungry.”

Bai Luoluo: “…” He almost wanted to kneel down on the spot for the big boss.

In any case, Bai Luoluo’s worries seemed to be in vain. Ten minutes later, Xue Hui’s complexion returned to normal, and he sat beside Bai Luoluo, asking earnestly, “Is this called a snake?”

Bai Luoluo said, “Yes, this thing is poisonous. Stay away from it in the future.”

Before he could finish speaking, Xue Hui’s expression suddenly changed, and he looked at Bai Luoluo expectantly, asking, “Can we eat it?”

Bai Luoluo clearly saw the little stars in Xue Hui’s eyes. After a moment of silence, he reluctantly squeezed out a word, “Yes.”

Xue Hui audibly swallowed saliva and asked, “Is it delicious?”

Bai Luoluo: “…Yes.”

Xue Hui finally asked the last question, saying, “How do we eat this?”

Bai Luoluo didn’t answer; he felt like he needed a smoke. The system continued to comfort him, saying to get used to it, as it had experience with hosts scarier than Xue Hui.

With no cigarettes to smoke, Bai Luoluo despairingly asked when the melon seeds would arrive.

The system said it didn’t know when the melon seeds would arrive but encouraged Bai Luoluo to persevere for the dream, even if it was for the melon seeds that hadn’t arrived yet.

Bai Luoluo almost blurted out, “Damn the dream.”

Although he felt hopeless, the food on this planet was a precious resource. Bai Luoluo couldn’t bear to throw away the two-meter-long snake. After a short rest, he went to skin the snake.

Xue Hui’s arm wound healed quickly. Eager to eat, he actively scavenged for firewood everywhere, returning with a large pile. Then, like a puppy, he looked at Bai Luoluo expectantly, asking, “Is this enough?”

Bai Luoluo couldn’t help but pat his head and said, “Enough.”

The flames rose, dispelling the dampness from their clothes. Bai Luoluo chopped the snake into several pieces and briefly marinated them with spices. Fortunately, he had found a fragrant fruit these days. Though it didn’t look appealing, it tasted sweet and had a strong fragrance, somewhat similar to an orange on Earth. Bai Luoluo decided to call it “fragrant orange.” When he discovered these fruits, he packed more than a dozen in his backpack, thinking they would be convenient to eat on the way.

The fragrance of the fragrant orange permeated the air after peeling. Bai Luoluo dripped the juice onto the snake meat. Although the effect was not as good as honey, the flavor did improve.

Every time he cooked, Bai Luoluo couldn’t help but marvel at the wonderful ingredients on this planet.

Under the influence of the flames, the snake meat began to emit a rich aroma. The orange juice slowly soaked into the meat, adding a hint of fruit sweetness to the already firm snake meat. Garlic and ginger eliminated the fishy smell from the snake meat. Bai Luoluo tore off a piece and tasted it, feeling that this was even more delicious than the grilled meat he used to make on Earth—especially with the right seasonings; it would make his taste buds dance.

The stars in Xue Hui’s eyes were about to turn into a moon. He eagerly waited for Bai Luoluo to hand him a piece of meat and devoured it without restraint as soon as he got it.

So delicious! So delicious! Although Xue Hui didn’t say a word, Bai Luoluo felt like he could see the floating words above his head.

This snake was two meters long in total. Bai Luoluo cut it into three sections and roasted it. He ate one section himself and gave the rest to Xue Hui.

The texture of snake meat was more delicate and delicious than the meat of ordinary birds. Xue Hui ate ravenously, seemingly forgetting everything around him.

While Xue Hui was eating, Bai Luoluo watched him. Seeing him finish the meat cleanly, this time, he didn’t have the audacity to chew on the bones in front of Bai Luoluo. However, he licked the bones several times before reluctantly putting them down. When he put them down, he flashed a pleasing smile at Bai Luoluo, as if seeking praise—look, I didn’t eat the bones.

Bai Luoluo’s mouth twitched, and he spat out a “good” word.

Xue Hui’s smile widened even more.

After finishing the meat, the sky darkened. Bai Luoluo set up a makeshift camp for the two of them and burned some plants to repel mosquitoes before lying down with Xue Hui.

The parachute was only so big, and for the past few days in the jungle, Bai Luoluo and Xue Hui had been sleeping together. Xue Hui was a bit uncomfortable at first, but after a few nights, he turned into an octopus, using all his limbs to cling to Bai Luoluo as they slept.

Bai Luoluo always slept well, and his body temperature was higher than Xue Hui’s. Holding him made Xue Hui feel quite satisfied. Bai Luoluo often woke up in the morning, opening his eyes to meet Xue Hui’s purple ones, startling him several times until he got used to it.

Today was no exception. Xue Hui woke up earlier than Bai Luoluo, lying on Bai Luoluo’s chest and listening to his heartbeat—thump, thump. Humans were quite interesting, relying on such a small bundle of flesh to sustain life. Using his fingers, Xue Hui carefully drew a small circle on Bai Luoluo’s chest. He loved the warmth of humans, and here, it was probably the warmest part of a human body…

Bai Luoluo was unaware that his body was being coveted by the big shot. In fact, he slept soundly, waking up the next morning feeling refreshed and energetic.

Yesterday, most of the clean drinking water had been used to wash Xue Hui’s wound after he was bitten by the snake, and their water supply was running a bit low. Bai Luoluo asked Xue Hui if he could find a water source, and Xue Hui nodded.

Unlike other skills, Xue Hui didn’t hide his ability to navigate from Bai Luoluo. He mentioned that there was a small river not far from here.

Bai Luoluo said, “Then lead the way.”

For some reason, this remark seemed to upset Xue Hui. He pursed his lips and said his hand hurt, making it difficult to walk.

Bai Luoluo couldn’t really do anything about Xue Hui, so he sighed and bent down, saying, “Come, I’ll carry you.”

This made Xue Hui a little happier.

Fortunately, Xue Hui wasn’t heavy, and Bai Luoluo felt light carrying him on his back. He just had to be a bit careful not to bump into Xue Hui’s head while walking. On the way to the river, Bai Luoluo chatted with the system and asked why Xue Hui was upset. The system said, “You definitely don’t have a girlfriend.” Bai Luoluo felt like he got shot in the knee.

The system continued, “Have you ever seen a delicate little white lotus lead the way? If he can lead the way, doesn’t it mean he’s very strong?”

Bai Luoluo was shocked by Xue Hui’s thought process, but even more shocking was that the system could understand the big shot’s thought process…

Xue Hui lay on Bai Luoluo’s back, humming a song happily.

As Bai Luoluo walked forward, they quickly reached the small river that Xue Hui had mentioned. However, before they could get close to the river, they heard some ambiguous sounds coming from that direction.

Bai Luoluo didn’t have time to say anything, and Xue Hui, with sharp eyes, leaned close to his ear, curiously asking, “Is this kind of thing comfortable?”

Bai Luoluo fell into a momentary silence.

On the riverbank, there was a man and a woman lying down, entangled in each other’s arms. The two of them were clearly engaged in an intimate activity. The woman’s sweet moans were enough to make anyone blush. Her hand was hooked around the man’s neck, and she opened her red lips to let out soft cries, “Ah… faster… harder…”

Seeing Bai Luoluo silent, Xue Hui, with keen interest, whispered in his ear, “Is this very comfortable?”

Bai Luoluo remained silent.

Xue Hui, seeing Bai Luoluo silent, became more curious. He used his chin to gently rub against Bai Luoluo’s earlobe and asked, “Why aren’t you saying anything?”

Bai Luoluo’s earlobes turned red, and what could he say? He could only turn around to prevent Xue Hui from seeing any further.

Xue Hui, however, seemed a little unhappy. He lightly kicked Bai Luoluo’s back with his foot and grumbled, “Why are you leaving? Speak up. Is it very comfortable?”

“Not comfortable.” Bai Luoluo lied, “Look, she’s about to cry.”

“Really?” Xue Hui clearly doubted the truthfulness of Bai Luoluo’s words.

In fact most animals can’t get pleasure from the act of xxx, and as far as Bai Luo Luo knows, it seems that only dolphins and humans get pleasure from xxx.

Xue Hui continued to playfully kick Bai Luoluo with his feet, eventually knocking off the shoes Bai Luoluo made for him. Helpless, Bai Luoluo had to put him down, then furrowed his brows and pinched his foot, putting the shoes back on. Xue Hui’s feet were as delicate as the rest of him, with round toes, fair skin, and small, neatly arranged toenails, resembling tiny pink seashells, as if they hadn’t walked much.

Bai Luoluo finished putting on the shoes and said, “Don’t be so willful.”

But Xue Hui lowered his head, bringing his face close to Bai Luoluo’s. His eyes were like purple gemstones, shimmering with a mesmerizing light. He gazed silently into Bai Luoluo’s eyes and softly asked, “Is it really that comfortable?”

Initially reluctant to answer Xue Hui’s question, Bai Luoluo, under Xue Hui’s intense gaze, couldn’t help but respond, “Comfortable.”

“How comfortable?” Xue Hui continued to inquire.

“Very, very comfortable,” Bai Luoluo replied. As soon as he uttered these words, as if suddenly awakening, a deep shade of red spread from his ears to his entire face. Annoyed, he scratched Xue Hui’s foot and said, “Kids shouldn’t be asking about this. Such matters are meant for adults.”

However, Xue Hui persisted, saying, “Then what qualifies as an adult?”

“It is like that!” Bai Luoluo didn’t want to continue dwelling on this question with him. He carried him away from the riverbank.

The two waited in the jungle for a while. When Bai Luoluo felt that the two people might have finished and left, he brought Xue Hui back to the riverbank.

The place where the two had copulated earlier was now empty. However, whether it was Bai Luoluo’s psychological effect or not, he always felt a bit uncomfortable collecting water here. So, while observing the surroundings, he took Xue Hui upstream for some distance.

Xue Hui remained contemplative throughout the journey, and Bai Luoluo didn’t bother asking what was on his mind.

They continued upstream until Bai Luoluo was sure there was no one around. Then, approaching the riverbank, he prepared to collect water.

The water quality of this small river was excellent, crystal clear, revealing the sand and pebbles at the riverbed. Despite the apparent safety, Bai Luoluo remained extremely cautious in his actions, well aware of the dangers in this world.

After Bai Luoluo collected water, Xue Hui, humming, expressed his desire to play in the water.

Bai Luoluo suggested, “Why not take a bath?”

Xue Hui asked, “Can I?”

Bai Luoluo replied, “Of course, and I’ll take one too.” They hadn’t properly cleaned themselves in the jungle for several days, so a bath seemed like a good idea.

Upon hearing Bai Luoluo’s agreement, Xue Hui happily nodded, then swiftly removed all his clothes and jumped into the water, exposing his small, white buttocks. It was the first time Bai Luoluo saw Xue Hui’s naked body. Even in the memories of the original host, Bai Luoluo had never seen Xue Hui like this. With white hair like snow, ice-purple eyes, and fair skin emitting a radiant glow, he looked like an elf escaped from a myth. Everything around him seemed to lose its natural colors because of him—this was not the beauty a human should possess.

Bai Luoluo watched him and couldn’t help but sigh softly.

If beauty was directly proportional to the level of danger, Xue Hui should be considered a weapon of mass destruction.

Xue Hui was aware of his good looks. While bathing, he smiled at Bai Luoluo and finally, after finishing the bath, walked to Bai Luoluo’s side, with wet hair, rubbing his cheek against Bai Luoluo’s face. He asked, “Am I pretty?”

Bai Luoluo touched his head and said, “Very pretty.”

Xue Hui pursed his lips, as if hesitating about something.

Bai Luoluo didn’t inquire about what Xue Hui wanted to say. Although Xue Hui was indeed astonishingly beautiful, Bai Luoluo wouldn’t lose his rationality. After all, he was a faithful successor of socialism, an incorruptible civil servant.

Thinking like this, Bai Luoluo undressed and entered the river.

Xue Hui played with the water with his feet while watching Bai Luoluo bathe. In fact, Bai Luoluo’s body was not bad either, but compared to Xue Hui’s blurred gender beauty, it displayed a more powerful kind of attractiveness. Graceful chest muscles, six-pack abs, and the line of the mermaid disappearing into the lower abdomen all exhibited a charm belonging to a man.

Watching Bai Luoluo’s body, Xue Hui’s eyes squinted slightly, and his tongue, crimson, lightly licked his rosy lips.

As a straight man, Bai Luoluo was completely unaware that showing his buttocks to others could be a dangerous thing. He was still asking the system why the popcorn-flavored melon seeds hadn’t arrived yet. He really wanted to quietly snack on some melon seeds in the quiet of the night.

The system said they were on their way, and due to the ongoing festival, logistics had been delayed for a few days.

Bai Luoluo asked if data also had logistics.

The system was very dissatisfied with Bai Luoluo’s surprise, saying, “What’s wrong with data? AI also has AI rights. Speaking like that is engaging in racial discrimination, do you know?”

Bai Luoluo said, “Oh, I’m sorry then.”

The system arrogantly said, “I forgive you.”

Bai Luoluo had nothing to say.

At this moment, with a refreshing breeze, Bai Luoluo felt invigorated. After cleaning himself up, he climbed onto a large rock where Xue Hui was sitting.

Xue Hui sat there with crossed legs, both feet immersed in the clear water, occasionally teasing the small fish with his toes.

Bai Luoluo shook his head to get rid of the water in his hair and said, “Really comfortable.”

“Ling…” After learning Bai Luoluo’s name, Xue Hui didn’t address him by his first name but used his last name. He said, “Is the place you came from as interesting as you are?”

Bai Luoluo replied, “You mean Earth? It’s interesting… quite interesting.” He shared some memories about Earth based on Ling Yuming’s recollections. At this point, Earth was significantly different from the Earth in Bai Luoluo’s reality, more technologically advanced but with much greater wealth disparity. The rich could easily buy several planets, while the poor struggled for their livelihoods. Ling Yuming could be considered a middle-class individual, and if not for the greed blinding his eyes, his life would have been decent. It seemed he already had a fiancée about to get married, but after the judgment, everything became a mirage.

“If given the chance, I’d like to see it too.” Like a child making a wish on Christmas Eve, Xue Hui said seriously, “When the time comes, you must accompany me.”

Bai Luoluo promised, “Okay, I’ll accompany you.”

Xue Hui, pleased with Bai Luoluo’s commitment, beamed with a bright smile.

While chatting with Xue Hui, Bai Luoluo began to set up a place to sleep for the night in the woods. Xue Hui didn’t care much about where he slept and followed Bai Luoluo like a little tail, asking what they would eat tonight.

Bai Luoluo said they would catch some fish for dinner.

After the meal, Bai Luoluo and Xue Hui lay down under the parachute. Bai Luoluo fell asleep as soon as his head touched the pillow, unaware that Xue Hui quietly opened his eyes in the darkness.

The entire jungle was enveloped in the pale moonlight. In the darkness, Xue Hui’s purple eyes seemed to emit a faint glow. If Bai Luoluo were still awake, he would have noticed that there were actually stars twinkling in Xue Hui’s eyes.

Xue Hui kept his eyes open, gazing at the dark night sky. His eyes gradually lost focus, as if seeing beyond the current scenery into an unknown distance.

At this moment, in another jungle, a burly man was holding down another skinny man.

The skinny man kept struggling, but was heavily held down by the robust man.

“What the fuck are you pretending for, you’re obviously showing water and you’re still fucking acting like a virgin woman.” The man insulted the person underneath him while moving his waist.

The man who was pressed to the ground cried softly, his mind was unwilling, but his body reacted against his thoughts.

The man’s movements became rougher and rougher, low sobs and pleas for mercy echoed through the jungle at night. It seems that he is not used to listening to the crying of the people under him, the robust man slapped the skinny man’s arse several times and said, “Damn I don’t want to listen to your crying, scream happier for me.”

Skinny man can not, can only follow his choking call up, “ah …… ah ha, so good, so comfortable …… harder …… “

The burly man then revealed a colour of satisfaction, however, his movements suddenly lurched, twisted his head to look at the dark jungle, and alertly said, “Who is there?!”

No one answered.

The burly man’s face showed suspicion, and although he didn’t see anyone, he stopped his movements with extra caution. Putting on his trousers, he grabbed his weapon and turned into the jungle. Leaving the skinny man shivering in place.

“Who’s there.” The jungle seemed a little different today than it had been in the past, the sounds of insects were loud and even seemed a little noisy.

The man’s steps were wary as he circled around, all without seeing any suspicious traces. In his heart, he was pondering whether he was too suspicious, but then he turned around and saw a man appear in front of him.

This person appeared too abruptly, startling the man as he said, “What is it?!”

“Hello.” The visitor did greet very politely, his voice was very light and soft, like spring water flowing through a mountain stream at night, “I have some things that I want to ask you.”

The man, through the hazy moonlight, finally saw the visitor’s face clearly. His breath caught in his throat, and he even wondered if he had seen a mountain elf, for the man had white hair and purple eyes, as if all the words he could use could not describe his beautiful face.

The prettier something was, the more dangerous it was, and the man was wary, “What is it?”

“The kind of thing you guys did just now, was it comfortable?” The visitor looked like an inquisitive child, but unfortunately the question asked made the man a bit flabbergasted.

“Two men, they can do that too?” With a strong sense of doubt and anticipation on his pretty face, the visitor seemed to know nothing about such things.

The man’s mind was stirred with some evil intent by the question, he grinned and said, “You want to know?”

The visitor nodded.

The man said, “Just come over here and I’ll try it with you.”

The pretty elf cocked his head at that and said, “But I don’t want to try it with you.”

The man said, “I’m familiar with that kind of thing, I know how to make you feel good, don’t believe me, come over.” As he said that, he tentatively took a few steps forward.

However, seeing that he was about to get close to this beauty that didn’t look like a human, the vines around him looked like they had suddenly come to life, and directly hoisted his entire body up. The man’s face revealed a look of horror as he called out for help in terror. The beauty was too annoyed with him, and with a wave of his hand directly sealed his mouth.

“Well, it’s comfortable just fine.” Getting the answer he wanted, the beauty’s eyes were all full of anticipation as he said, “I want to try it with Ling.”

As he said this, he smiled contentedly to himself, then turned around and left without looking back. He didn’t care about the man hanging upside down from the vines behind him.

The man’s face was covered in fear, and he was vaguely relieved in his heart after seeing the person who suddenly appeared and then suddenly left. Since that person had left, then perhaps he would be let down after a while. Just as he thought that, the man felt the vines wrapped around him actually begin to slowly lock up. As if it was the oldest form of carcass torture, the man’s mouth was sealed and he couldn’t say a word, he could only whimper and scream in despair, feeling the despair and pain as his body was gradually torn apart.

Bai Luo Luo’s quality of sleep since coming to this world was quite high, and today was no exception, he opened his eyes and yawned, and found that Xue Hui, who normally should have woken up a long time ago, was surprisingly still sleeping today.

“Xuehui?” Bai Luo Luo called out to him.

Xue Hui blinked open his eyes, still drowsy and disoriented. He mumbled, “Hmm?”

“Time to get up,” Bai Luoluo said. “Didn’t sleep well last night?”

Xue Hui slowly got up, making a soft sound of acknowledgment.

Bai Luoluo added, “If you’re too tired, take a bit more rest. I’ll go find something to eat.”

Xue Hui nodded.

Watching his obedient demeanor, Bai Luoluo couldn’t resist reaching out to pinch his cheek. Indeed, Xue Hui’s cheek felt just as good as he had imagined—soft and tender, like squeezing a glutinous rice ball.

After the cheek-pinching episode, Bai Luoluo felt a bit embarrassed and quickly used the excuse of searching for food to leave. Xue Hui, gazing at Bai Luoluo’s departing figure, had a satisfied smile in his eyes.

Food in the forest was abundant, with various edible plants and animals. Bai Luoluo even found several types of mushrooms on the ground that he had seen on Earth, but he refrained from trying them for fear of toxicity. However, once settled, he might give them a try. Bai Luoluo chuckled at the thought; after all, he had plenty of time for such experiments before logging out.

There was a fruit tree nearby that Bai Luoluo had spotted earlier. Following his memory, he headed in its direction, contemplating today’s lunch. Having a big eater around who turned greedy at the sight of meat, Bai Luoluo had to play the role of a responsible chef.

As he was lost in these thoughts, he heard a faint crying sound. Although it was barely audible, Bai Luoluo perceived it keenly, immediately halting in his tracks.

“Who’s crying?” Bai Luoluo asked the system. “Should I go check it out?”

The system responded, “Be cautious and ensure your safety.”

Bai Luoluo nodded and walked towards the direction of the crying.

As he approached, the crying grew louder, and eventually, Bai Luoluo found the source beneath a tree.

There was a man kneeling on the ground, crying. However, what caught the attention wasn’t the crying man but the blood and scattered corpses around him. The corpses were in gruesome states, with mosaic effects suggesting dismemberment.

The crying man was frail, curled up, tears streaming down his face.

Observing from the side for a moment, Bai Luoluo showed no intention of approaching. On this planet, everyone was a convict, and even those who seemed kind had undoubtedly committed serious crimes.

After a moment of thought, Bai Luoluo remained silent, turned, and intended to leave. However, after taking a few steps, he heard hurried footsteps behind him. The frail man who had been crying and sitting on the ground had noticed Bai Luoluo leaving and rushed over. Seeing Bai Luoluo, he expressed joy, then knelt down, crying, “Please help me, please help me, I’m willing to do anything—anything!”

Bai Luoluo furrowed his brows and asked, “Help you with what?”

The man cried, “I just want someone to accompany me; I’m so scared alone—I’m willing to do anything, really!”

Bai Luoluo looked at him with a frown but remained silent.

The man tightly grasped Bai Luoluo’s pants, pleading for a long time. Several times, Bai Luoluo tried to leave, but the man clung to him with all his strength.

Bai Luoluo coldly drew out his knife and said, “Do you want to die?”

The man finally released his grip upon seeing the knife, but tears continued to stream down his face. However, Xue Hui remained unfazed. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to help, but the reality was he couldn’t. If he brought this person back and he unintentionally offended Xue Hui, the man would probably meet an even swifter end. Moreover, Xue Hui knew nothing about this person’s background, and he didn’t want to have a potential threat lurking around.

Xue Hui walked away resolutely, thinking that after the threat, the man would give up. However, to his surprise, the man seemed to cling to the last straw, boldly following Xue Hui. He went unnoticed all the way until Xue Hui returned with fruit. Xue Hui, who was about to eat the fruit, suddenly darkened her expression and asked Xue Hui who he had brought back. Xue Hui looked bewildered, feeling like an innocent husband being questioned about infidelity—oh, the word “innocent” might have been crossed out when Xue Hui, looking displeased, noticed the newcomer cautiously emerging from the woods.
