His cold swept past everyone and all the whisperings and noise in the room quietened down in the next second.

"I am not busy," Mo Yuhan said.

"_" Are we invisible to you? The rest of the people who were waiting for Mo Yuhan's opinion on this mission found themselves speechless.

"Very well then, did I surprise you? Did you like that picture and ringtone attached to my contact in your phone?" She spoke in a lazy voice.

Mo Yuhan leaned back on his seat before raking his fingers through his hair. His chin propped up in another hand as he said, "En, I was surprised."

"So, did you like it?"

Mo Yuhan lips tilted up, "I like it very much," he replied.

The pink bubble was so glaringly obvious that everyone could feel their eyes hurting. What the hell is up with this smile?

This was the first time they saw this man smiling.

"Good to know that….come in…" He heard two knocks in the background before she spoke to him, "I'll call you tomorrow. Bye, darling."

"Mm," he replied pursing lips. A jar of vinegar slightly drooping on the man.

"That's not what you call a proper reply."

Mo Yuhan was silent for a few seconds before checking the phone. The call was still connected as she waited for his reply. "I love you…Take care. Good night," he spoke gently.

"That's like my sweetheart. Love you too. Include me in your sweet dreams," She hung up as soon as she finished speaking.

Mo Yuhan glanced at his phone with a soft expression in the air.

And the rest of the people in the room felt suffocated by the air of love.

Ethan could sense the distinct feeling of singlehood in his heart. It's fine that you have a love life, why must you ruthlessly slap it on our faces?

The higher-ups looked at each other in disbelief. "President Mo, please show me your military ID card," One of the higher-ups who has been silent till this point spoke up in a stern tone.

Ye Jie looked at the old man with furrowed brows, "Chief Tian, you…what are you up to?"

Rather than responding to him, the old man glanced at Mo Yuhan sternly, "President Mo, don't make me repeat myself. Show us your ID."

"Here." Mo Yuhan kept a XI pistol on his table, "Don't get too ahead of yourself," He coldly said swirling the pistol in his hand.

Chief Tian slightly shrunk back. It was brazen of him to ask the man to show his ID card but he has known this devil for years. The way he was talking to a woman, it was not something he would do. Mo Yuhan was not such an amorous or pampering person as much as he knew.

And it made him wonder if the person who was with them is an impostor. Such tales are not rare in royalties.

But the XI pistol and the man's aura made him realize how wrong he was.

Mo Yuhan pushed himself to his feet as he looked at Ye Jie, "Where is your sister?"

Ye Jie frowned, "She is not feeling well these days so she is resting," Ever since they came back from the shopping mall, his sister has been staying alone, looking all depressed. And it made him wonder if the dogfood scattered by Mo Yuhan and Tang Li have affected her so deeply.

"This is not a picnic bro," Ethan raised an eyebrow at Ye Jie before standing up, "If your barbie can't handle this, why don't you send her back to the Lin Family? Given the status, she can easily hook over a nice man and be a good wife, you see?" He even looked at him provocatively.

From the moment he joined this camp, that Ye Lan girl has fried him up. Brother Yuhan and I used to be like this, like that blah blah. For fuck's sake, he was not interested in Mo Yuhan's love history.

Ye Jie stood up with clenched fists, "You bastard…!"

Before the fight could break out, Mo Yuhan's cold voice rang there stopping Ye Jie in his tracks, "Ask her to bring over the dose of drugs that were in her possession and the wolfhound to me."

Ye Jie froze. Was he insinuating that Tang Li's injury had something to do with his sister? Why would she stoop so low?

He clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white. Seeing her lover doting on another woman, Ye Lan was suffering already. Now her intentions were being doubted by the man she loved.

"Mo Yuhan, she is my sister. How can you doubt her? Are you planning to interrogate her? Do you not want our friendship anymore?" He smashed his fist on the table and glared at Mo Yuhan. He didn't bring up any of this before so does that means poppy filled his ears against Ye Lan.

Mo Yuhan tucked his hand in his pocket before speaking nonchalantly, "I just asked for the dog, General Ye. What gave you the impression that I doubted your sister or I'm planning to interrogate her?" Without waiting for his reply, he turned around and walked out of the room leaving Ye Jie stunned.

Ye Jie stood rooted to the spot. What was wrong with him? Mo Yuhan is like a brother to him, how could he behave like that? Guilt gnawed his chest as he ran after him.

Ethan sighed. Hearing the murmurs and whispers behind him, he turned around to look at the old geezers gossiping like neighbor aunties, "Today's entertainment is over. Come again tomorrow~"

The room turned silent as the crowd dispersed immediately.

"Dramatic people," Ethan leaned back on the table as he looked at the old geezers who were wiggling outside the room, trying to find Mo Yuhan to drain more gossips.

He closed his eyes to find some relief but a certain face flashed in his mind. Unruly silver hair just like the man's personality. "Mark…" the name effortlessly rolled out of his tongue as he wondered what was that mind-charming creature doing right now.

He couldn't stop thinking about him ever since he met him.
