A wide golden portal shaped like a door opened in the very moment when Whittaker was hailed as the conqueror of Zachary's inheritance trial. He had become a champion and was drowned in a sea of sweetly scented rose petal. Now, it was time for him to meet the man behind it all, Zachary, himself.

Whittaker was extremely excited to meet a legend like Elder Zachary in real life, and he also wanted to beat him in a battle hence, after enjoying himself in the field of victory, he walked towards the door-like golden portal; However, someone beautiful and sweet came out of it from the other end just when he was about to enter it.

At the very first glance, Whittaker discovered just how beautiful the elder sister is. After a second, he found something weird with her figure. Soon after, he had determined that the beautiful elder sister that had just appeared is definitely not a human being. The girl had snow-white skin; However, it was glowing with an undeniable luster. Her scarlet hair fell from each side and the back of her face, just like a waterfall. Whereas her luxurious clothes outlined her wonderful curves. Also, she had a perfect set of facial features as if meticulously crafted by a forge master.

She was just too perfect to be human. Moreover, Whittaker had another reason to classify her as a non-human.

The elder sister was dressed in a velvety sleeveless dress. Her body was slender and she was flickering in and out of existence, just like a holographic image. Her long and slender arms were like a willow tree. Currently, she was staring at him with a pair of bright star-like eyes filled with delight and happiness.

Whittaker felt no sense of danger from her and a beaming smile immediately emerged on his immature face as he determined who she could possibly be. In her eyes, little handsome appearance seemed quite meek and friendly, as he waved his hand at her and said, "Big sis, nice to meet you. Are you the spirit of the formation who gifted me the ring of genesis? You are her, aren't you?"

"Big sis?" Nina thought in happiness as her lips curled into a smile. She had dressed well just for this occasion and it worked.

"You guessed it right, I am the spirit of the formation. You can call me big sis Nina. I will be calling you little brother, do you mind?" Nina stated in a proud manner.

Whittaker was fine with being called little brother. He was just 12 years old, after all. Plus, he confirmed that she really is the person who gifted him the ring of genesis because of her voice.

"Follow me," Nina said while extending one of her hands to the snowy-haired boy.

Whittaker reflexively extended his hands to hold her own. To his surprise, he managed to touch her. Her hand was soft almost like air. Although Nina was certainly a holographic image, Whittaker could still touch her because she had materialized a part of her body by condensing mana into a solid-state.

Side by side, they both entered the golden portal, right after, Whittaker found himself in a completely different but just as magnificent place.

"What a wonderful place!" Whittaker gazed at the surrounding by opening his eyes as wide as he could. This was a treasure trove. He had appeared in a quiet and peaceful place with a lot of ancient trees. Their shadows towering over him. These giant trees thrust into the cloudy night sky, while their dense leaves fluttered as gentle wind bellowed from the east. Dozens of stone and steel steles were placed all around them.

With a single glance, Whittaker had determined that this was the world-famous formation grounds of Zachary's palace. It's because hundreds of magical runes were inscribed on the ancient tree trunks, stone steles, and steel steles.

Memorizing magical runes and learning how to flesh them out was the basis of formation master; However, magical runes were one of the rarest things in this world. The knowledge about magical runes was scarce and formation master was the least in number as compared to others profession as it was a very difficult profession to master. A person needs high intelligence, memorization ability, excellent calligraphy skills, good hand dexterity, and must know how to stably input mana. Plus, costly items were also necessary to build formations.

Moreover, formation masters are people with extreme prestige and pride as their connections and pockets run deep. They don't work under others. Their teachings are hardly passed down to others. First of all, most formation masters don't like to give away the design of their runes. Secondly, it takes a mind with very high intelligence to memorize a single rune design.

Even the Royal Frost Fall Academy only has four rank-4 and two rank-5 formation master, who teaches only excellent students about magical runes, the way they are constructed and formation creation. Also, the formation masters are working as a magic teacher in Royal Frost Fall Academy on behalf of their very close relationship with Headmaster Yeon otherwise, they wouldn't bother themselves and teach snotty-brats of the nobles and royals.

They were once brother in arms. Now, they are all old men enjoying a calm and peaceful life although they were a little bit too old and the cruelty of time was upon them.

Magical runes were costly, rare, and scarce. What's worse is the fact that most information about many types of magical runes designs and formation creation is hidden by other experts.

"Monopoly comes at a price, after all." For their greed and a sea of profit, most formation masters refused to publicize their knowledge. And, they weren't wrong in their actions.

In simple words, it was nigh impossible to see more than a hundred magical rune designs in a single place; However, Whittaker was currently at the world-famous Formation ground of Zachary's Palace. All around him were the rarest of magical runes waiting to be memorized by him!
