Since Elixir Master Benjamin had failed to refine even a single heart rejuvenating elixir, the death of the City master was certain. All of the people inside the palace had sadness welling up in their hearts. With downcast expressions, they stared at the ground and kept on gazing at it.

All hope was lost. With clenched fists, they silently regretted the fact that they were unable to do anything when the City master needed them the most. Their life biggest regret was not being able to do anything to save the gentle city master that treated the entire city as her own family.

Swoosh!

While they considered that no one could save City Master Aliyah, the windows to her chamber opened up as a gush of wind rushed inside.

Along with the gentle breeze and green leaves, an imperceptible being made his way inside her room and landed just beside her bed.

Suddenly, the sheets of her bed fluttered as a young black-haired boy magically appeared.

He was none other than Whittaker.

As two strong guards were guarding the entrance of her chamber, he had gone around the corner and entered the room through the window. It's because the advanced grade invisibility talisman wasn't perfect. It only made him invisible but his breathing and footsteps could still be heard. Plus, he can't walk through walls. This to evade useless trouble, he chooses to enter the chamber through the window.

By the time he reached his destination, the time limit of the talisman has ended. Below perfect rank talisman, all invisible talisman had a time limit of some sort. This was its weakness; However, it's a really great item to make a sneak attack on someone's life or sneak into someone's home.

As he watched the bedridden and unconscious mother of Fiorin and Jin, a golden light flashed in his hand as the heart-shaped elixir tube glimmering in the golden-red colors appeared.

"Now I just need to feed her the heart rejuvenating elixir and she will recover from her illness. Moreover, the quest will also be completed!" Whittaker happily thought before opening the lid of the heart-shaped elixir tube and placing the opening near Aliyah's mouth.

She was unconscious and Whittaker didn't know how to pour the content inside her mouth manually. Therefore Whittaker decided to use a pure-mana spell made especially for situations like this.

"Immed Abars Fwime!" He chanted.

The heart rejuvenating elixir in the heart-shaped elixir tube immediately boiled, and continued to evaporate, producing layers of mystical golden smoke. Guided by Whittaker's mana, the golden smoke entered her body through the nostrils, eyes, ears, and her closed lips.

Badum!* Badum** Her heart started beating rapidly as if she has been granted a second life. The golden smoke shattered all the plague buildup around her heart and reinvigorated it with a massive amount of lifeforce.

"Wu!" Aliyah gritted her teeth in pain and pleasure as the golden rejuvenated her heart, and at the same time, the buildup of plague was being forcefully expelled out of her body.

Pu! A dozen minutes later, her body arched forward and she spewed out a mouthful of dark blood. Right then, her eyes also snapped open.

She opened her mouth wide, taking in deep breaths as she felt warmth all over her body and saw the dark blood on her blanket. She was dripping from head to toe in sweat, a result of absorbing Heart Rejuvenating elixir.

"Impossible," she exclaimed in utter disbelief. As a mage and a patient who was half a step into the grave, her delicate body right now was giving off shocking energy that surprised even herself. Her heart that was near death was beating rapidly, surprising her even more.

«Quest Completed: Save the great philanthropist; City Master Aliyah»

‹Quest Rewards Obtained: 10000 XP, Human Mana Channel opening Elixir Recipe!›

«Mana Channel opening Elixir Recipe has been stored in the inventory»

At the very moment, Noah's notification popped up in Whittaker's vision, notifying him of quest completion. A smile popped up on his face as he said, "Nothing's impossible,"

"Who are you?" Aliyah asked confused and alert after she noticed the presence of someone in her room.

She didn't detect any malice for him hence she didn't shout for her guards.

The room was dark and only the moonlight barely illuminated it. Thus, she couldn't make out the features of the boy standing beside the king-sized bed but she felt that he meant no harm.

"Don't be afraid. I am a... A friend of your son and I just happened to help you recover from your heart illness," Whittaker replied while stepping backward to give her some space to feel comfortable.

Hearing his words, Master Aliyah's confusion cleared up. She remembered that even breathing was hard for. It would send a painful chill all over her body but now, she could no longer feel the pain. Moreover, her heart was beating majestically and she felt unbelievably energetic.

Master Aliyah gently gazed in his direction. "Only the Heart Rejuvenating Elixir can cure my chronic heart illness. That is a very precious item yet you used it on me! Words can't express my gratitude. If you need anything then just say it. As long as it's in the treasury of the palace then it's yours," She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the young black-haired boy.

Master Aliyah knew full well that the only treatment for her illness was the Heart Rejuvenating Elixir but it was extremely difficult to create and the markets didn't have even a single one in store. However, as fate would have it, an expert bestowed her with kindness and saved her life.

'Azur, maybe it's true after all, Good things happen to good people,' she thought. She didn't want to die. She feared leaving her kids behind. Now that she won't die, that fear lessened and calmness took over her mind, soothing her soul.

"Thanks for the offer," Whittaker said.

"If you may, I'll prepare a grand feast to honor your esteemed self and announce my recovery to the people," Aliyah said.

"My apologies, I don't really have the time," Whittaker said.

"What's the matter?" She asked.

"Contestant killers have gathered up in the Grand Canyon. There's more than a group of them! They have been killing contestants and Monster tower citizens. Hence, the tower spirit issued a quest to the rulers to take them down. I'll be going there to clean up the mess," He explained to her about the situation in Grand Canyon.

The moment Whittaker announced his status as a ruler, a respectful expression appeared on her face.

"So it's like this. Your highness, I won't keep you busy. Here, take this. It's the key to the weaponry hall. There is some military weapon inside that will help you in taking down those scums. If you have the time then visit us. The palace door will always be open to your esteemed self," Aliyah said.

Those born within the tower respected the tower spirit. For them, the tower spirit was no different than God. Whereas, the rulers were his angels created especially to keep the balance.

If Whittaker didn't announce his status as a ruler then Aliyah would have never handed over the key to the weaponry to him. This was a perk of being a "Ruler".

'Seems like even the gentle City master hates Contestant killers,' Whittaker thought when he heard her cursing. Taking the key from her hand, he said, "Thanks for the help. If I get the chance in the future then I'll visit."

"Good luck," Master Aliyah said as she saw him going out the window.

Right after, Whittaker followed the path to where the weaponry hall was.

It was left unguarded. Not a single guard has been stationed nearby the weaponry. It's because the defensive barrier surrounding it was more than enough, after all. However, by using the key, the defensive formation easily opened up.

He entered the weaponry hall and took five Safety Scrolls, five D-rank ball of death, 3 intermediate Haste talismans, and four intermediate invisibility talismans. He only needed to use the Safety Scroll and he would be able to be safely teleported to the nearest human establishment inside the monster tower.

Whereas, the D-rank ball of death releases a powerful arrow that can take down a D-rank expert and even have a chance of severely injuring or killing a C-rank expert. As for the talismans, the Haste talisman increase movement speed by fifty percent, whereas the invisibility talisman would help him make sneak attacks.

A single Safety Scroll costs up to three thousand blocks of platinum. The ball of death came at 10k+ platinum a piece. As for the intermediate Haste and invisibility talismans, they were slightly cheaper at two thousand platinum each. Both these talismans had a time limit of some minutes.

Those who weren't wealthy, couldn't bear to use these items. But it's not like Whittaker was paying from his own pockets. He was getting them for free. He didn't think that he was being shameless and took them with a happy smile. He also took some Health and mana potions.

He needed them for the upcoming battle. Thus, he took them.

Whittaker put away the potions, talismans, ball of death, and teleport scroll in his rankless ring of genesis and made his way out of the RedCliff City. He was equipped with various speed-boosting items such as the Azure-sky pendant and boot. Activating their speed-boosting effect, he became as fast as a D-rank battle master but when he used multiple Haste talisman, he became faster than one. His current movement speed vastly outstripped D-ranked expert.

After emerging out of the city, he immediately sprinted off towards the north.
