Under duress caused by mental and physical pain, Whittaker was transported to the second floor. Due to the head-splitting pain, he dropped to his knees and breathed roughly.

There was no one nearby, just him in this area, so he could only endure the pain until it goes away.

A few moments later, the pain was shooed away and clarity returned to his opened eyes. Whittaker found himself at his destination, covered in sweat from head to toe. He noticed that this floor was the same as the first floor, but the bookshelves were blue and Red.

Blue shelves store books related to mana!

Red shelves store books related to Battle energy!

After glancing around, Whittaker wiped the sweat off his puffed face that still has baby fat. Afterward, he stood up from the floor as he felt better than before.

Whittaker scratched his head in confusion and thought, 'This is the first time that I felt so disturbed and pained while using a teleportation portal. Was it because it malfunctioned or is there a completely different reason behind it?'

Right then, a system notification appeared in his vision.

["DARK SPIRIT" Has consolidated the shaky mana pool of the Guardian. Dark Spirit has exhausted all its energy and fallen into a deep slumber, once again. Message from the Dark Spirit, "Please don't disturb me the next time I wake up." The Guardian mana pool has been successfully stabilized. The Guardian condition has been partially stabilized]

The place where the mage gathers mana into the body is called the mana pool. The mana pool is intangible in nature and only mana can interact with the mana pool. Mana pool is established in the body of any awakened who awakens a magic Spellbook during the Class weapon awakening ceremony.

"Eh, Who is dark spirit, and why did my mana pool become shaky?" Whittaker exclaimed. He knew what the mana pool was. He also knew about a lot of stuff. It's because he had read a book on mages and mana.

In reply to his questions, a system notification popped up,

[Dark Spirit is a being from the Spiritual World. In the past, it had served under "Night", but now it will serve you, the Guardian of the ancient oath of Night. And, your mana pool became shaky because of your reckless action. Guardian, stop rapidly increasing your mana pool, or else you will enter mana deviation. Malovent beings that you can't face will be attracted if you enter the state of mana deviation. Also, an excessive and rapid increase in the mana pool can lead to a crack in the mana pool, or worse, it can shatter entirely.]

"Spirit? It's the thing Shadow was talking about. I guess it's really real, and they also have a world! Anyways, no wonder why system has put a one-day cooldown on Frost Mage level Up." Whittaker realized the reasons behind system actions, and he also realized how stupid he was to take everything for granted.

Normally, an average mage will need one whole year to increase his power level by 1, some can't even do that, but he had increased his power level by 0.31 in one day. This was bound to have certain side effects. 'Thankfully, mister dark spirit helped me.'

Thinking about this unknown entity, Whittaker asked in his mind, "System, is there a way to help Mister Dark spirit? Something I can do to help awake from his deep slumber?'

Whittaker wasn't an ungrateful brat. That's why he was gonna help someone who he didn't know about, but he knew that that being has helped him. This was more than enough for him to try to repay the favor.

[Nope, you can't help the dark spirit. Also, only your main conditions have been stabilized. The shaky mana pool is not the only reason why the Guardian had felt pain. An excessive increase in the mana pool leads to multiple side effects. For example, you have been feeling energized and not hungry because of the excessive increase in the mana pool. It's because Guardian's brain has misinterpreted the feeling of mana repletion and increase in the mana pool as Satiety]

"Oh, that's why I felt full, even though I have not eaten anything for a whole day," Whittaker exclaimed, understandably he had thought that he was somewhat special because of the system and didn't need to eat, but now it proved otherwise.

Two more system notification popped up.

‹Mission Activated: Go eat something before going to bed.

Reward: Pain killers (S-ranked).

‹Mission Activated: Go sleep like a good kid.

There was no reward for the second quest, anyway, it couldn't even be considered a quest. This was definitely the system's way of taking care of Whittaker.

Whittaker had already reached the second floor of the library, so he decided to first read a book on battle energy. It would only take him two to three minutes, after all. Then he can go and eat some food.

With the help of the academy map, he located the basic book on battle master and battle energy. Picking it up, he went to the nearest lightless table to read the book.

Then he took out his Student ID card from the chest pocket and installed it in the slot of the card reader. The magical table functions were activated

The light bulb was turned on, illuminating the table with gentle light. Also, a barrier was erected around the table.

Whittaker sat down on the seat placed next to the table with the book in his hands.

Then he opened the book to read it.

The first page started with a heavy line.

‹The battle king has said, "The battle core is the fifth limb of the human. It is a treasure that lies in the depth of the mortal body, a treasure that can grant us strength so superior that with a single punch a mountain can be destroyed, and with a single slash ocean can be split."›

Glancing at the content of the pages, Whittaker summarized the information as follow,

‹The fifth limb is generated when a person awakens a battle-related class weapon. Battle-related Class weapons are those weapons that have a single or multiple attributes line›
