However, Lin Zhao Xi guessed incorrectly.

In the sports field of Anning Experimental Primary School, on a podium next to a 400m running track, a student was receiving a red certificate from the principal.

The principal patted his back to encourage him and he bowed back in response.

“You did great, continue to work hard next year,” said the principal.

“Thank you for your cultivation and encouragement,” that student responded.

After he finished speaking, he returned to all the teachers, parents, and students.

At that time, the student host raised his microphone and said in a passionate tone, “ Next, let us invite Zhang Liang to give an award-winning speech!”

Zhang Liang took the microphone and looked at the grass field and the well-dressed students. People in this position would either have two reactions, one who was cowardly or one who was proud. He clearly belonged to the second category. He had rehearsed for a long time just for this speech, he even created a manuscript. He clearly wanted to impress everyone with his speech. He took a deep breath and loudly said, “Leaders, Teachers, and dear students, hello everyone! I’m Zhang Liang in grade five, I am honored to be selected as one of the top 3 students in this school.”

He purposely paused in his speech and everyone in the audience began to applaud. The applause was like a wave and was very intoxicating. Zhang Liang observed all the classes beneath his feet, deliberately looking for the position of grade 5 class 2.

He finally found class 2, it was very far away, so far away that he couldn’t even see the faces of each student. A mocking expression appeared on his face. He knew that Pei Zhi wasn’t wearing a sports uniform today, he was wearing the same uniform as him, a white shirt, a cyan check tie, and shorts. Like everyone else, Pei Zhi was submerged in the crowd being inconspicuous.

That’s right, Pei Zhi should be inconspicuous.

Zhang Liang looked away and continued his speech, “First, I want to thank this school for properly raising me…Secondly⎯⎯”

In one of the classes.

Beside Pei Zhi was a boy with curly hair, he looked at the podium with disdain and said, “I heard after the selection test, Zhang Liang came to annoy you, did you get beaten?”

Even if Pei Zhi was wearing formal attire, he was still lazy and talked very little.

The curly-haired boy continued, “Ah Zhu from class three said, when he finished peeing, he went out the toilet and saw something fascinating.”

Hearing this, Pei Zhi glanced at him but didn’t say anything.

“You got beaten up?”

“No,” Pei Zhi replied.

“Did you really participate in the selection test?” This boy was obviously an unreasonable person, he didn’t even realize that the conversation was already going way out of hand. “No wonder Zhang Liang was pissed off, hahahaha, he thought he could dominate the test and didn’t know you participated as well!”

As he laughed arrogantly, the headteacher from the back row sternly stared at him.

Little curly head quickly shut up and stood straight, but he suddenly remembered something and asked again, “Are you not going to learn the piano this holiday?”

“No.”

The curly head boy raised his fist and pretended to be holding a microphone. He raised it in the air and asked, “Excuse me Pei Zhi, it took one month to make you realize that what you’re studying is very boring, what made you figure it out?”

Pei Zhi, of course, didn’t respond.

On the stage, Zhang Liang’s speech had finally come to an end, and the mood had become more uplifting.

“I hope to lead the Anning Experimental school and to create a new story in the Mathematical Olympiad. I hope that teachers, students, and parents can continue to support and encourage me!”

There was thunderous applause from the audience, almost all students now looked at Zhang Liang with envy and admiration.

Only the curly head boy next to Pei Zhi felt like sh*t. He kicked the ground and suddenly wrapped his arm around Pei Zhi, he shouted, ”Brother Pei, you must work hard in the Summer Camp! You can’t let Zhang Liang be so arrogant!”

At the end of his words, the teacher walked up to the boy and Pei Zhi and lightly smacked both of them in the back of the head before walking away。

Pei Zhi didn’t say anything, he wasn’t even listening to Zhang Liang’s speech.

If Lin Zhao Xi was here, she would know what Pei Zhi is thinking.

Zhang Liang? In that boy’s eyes, Zhang Liang never existed.

Red Star Elementary School.

Their final ceremony ended earlier than the Experimental Primary School.

Once they were back in their classroom, all the students started complaining when the teachers handed out the summer vacation homework.

Chinese, Maths, and English, each homework had at least 20 pages. There was also a 10-page weekly diary for Chinese and for English to learn new phrases and copy them down.

While the class leader Lu Zhizhao was handing out the homework, Lin Zhao Xi was struggling to copy the homework instructions given out by the teacher on the blackboard because she was also softly patting her notebook as if saying “Have a good summer vacation” to an old friend. She had the temptation to finish all her homework in a week.

Finally, after handing out all the homework, the class started to quiet down.

The teacher went and stood in the front, all the students quickly sat back at their desks and put their hands on the table.

“This semester is over, congratulations, you’re all free to go. Okay, you guys don’t have to sit so formally, it’s a holiday soon, but I have two things to say.

“First, there’s a number of students in this class who have progressed immensely in their studies. However, I won’t say the names of those students, because we all think that every one of you did great. Give yourselves a round of applause.”

Mrs. Xu laughed, she took the initiative and started to applaud the students.

At first, the students just looked at each other but one at a time, they started to clap as well, gradually more and more students started applauding. It was like a thunderstorm, so loud that students from other classes came running to check what all the commotion was about.

Lin Zhao Xi felt very happy. Although she changed schools and was no longer in the same school as Pei Zhi, she felt that it’s better this way. She met many good teachers and students. Red Star Elementary School was not trash!

After everyone finished congratulating themselves, their faces were all red.

Mrs. Xu casually signaled the students to settle down with her hand and continued to speak, “Lastly, there is the after school community service, everyone please open your “Young Eagle Summer Vacation Community Service Book”, these books are created by the Anming City for all schools, it must be completed. Please fill these out. You also have to submit a picture of yourself with the forms.”

After she finished speaking, she opened a red book and showed it to the class. It was said that the services are to be completed in groups, so they could start discussing when the school was over.

“I personally suggest you do the community service on July 1, Saturday. This is because some students got make-up lessons or summer camps to attend and won’t make it to the community service. The next two days are the best option.”

After that, she announced, “The holiday has officially started!” and walked out of the class.

The classroom instantly became alive again. There were all kinds of voices, things being organized, desks and chairs crashing into each other.

Lin Zhao Xi decided to organize her things later and held Lu Zhi Zhao down, who was about to leave. She wanted to confirm one last thing the teacher said, “Class leader, where should we be hosting our community service?”

As a class leader, Lu Zhi Zhao had good organization skills, so his little group quickly got together to discuss.

Lin Zhao Xi was feeling a little selfish as she wanted the location to be the park where Old Lin worked.

Fortunately, after the group had discussed it for a long time, it turned out almost everyone lived around this school, so the park seemed like the most suitable place for the community service.

Lu Zhizhao said, “Ok, my mom told me yesterday that we can form a team with students from the Experimental School for the Young Eagle Summer Vacation Team Community Service, so why don’t our class team up with Zhang Liang’s class?”

Lin Zhao Xi: ????????
