What are you doing, Chris?”

“I’m having a cup of tea.”

“Go drink it in your room…….”

I told Alisa to go ahead, and she seemed a little troubled, but quickly bowed and left. After seeing them off, Lilia sat down opposite Chris.

“I’m so honored to have you with me.”

“I’m sure you are. I’m sure it wouldn’t be a bad idea to spend some time alone with you once in a while.”

“Thank you very much. Please wait a moment.”

Chris clapped her hands and a maid appeared from somewhere. She then placed a cup filled with steaming tea in front of Lilia’s eyes then quietly left.

S–She’s like a secret agent, isn’t she?

L–As expected, I was a little surprised.

I looked at Chris, and she was smiling.

“She is an interesting girl, isn’t she? She was an apprentice spy for our family until last year, but for some reason she asked to be a maid, so we hired her.”

“That means she can imitate a spy to some extent. That’s good.”

“How about you and Alisa?”

“………….Alisa is mine.”

S–Hey, did that bother you?

L–It’s all in your mind.

“That’s too bad,” said Chris with a smile. She must have known that Lilia would not comply and said so. It felt as if she was being tested, but there was no point in worrying about it.

“By the way, Chris, I have a question for you, if you don’t mind.”

“I don’t mind.”

Chris’s face showed a slight hint of alarm. It’s not about Chris personally, so I don’t want her to be so alarmed, but I guess it’s all the same once I ask her.

“I’d like to ask you about Phrygia Lester.”

Chris furrowed her brow. She closed her eyes, thought about something for a while, and then, as if remembering, muttered, “Oh.”

“I see, Tina’s family was in the Earldom of Leicester.”

“So, do you know anything about it?”

“Yes……..I would advise you to stay out of it, if you can.”

Lilia blinks in surprise at Chris’s words and Chris puts on her expressionless mask.

She looks mature at first glance, but even I don’t know what she’s thinking. She is by my side at the school, but I rarely have a conversation with her.

Lilia nodded. It was understandable that Chris was wary. Many of her cronies often talk to Lilia and her friends aggressively in order to give her a good impression of them.

“But I always listened to Liliane-sama. So I thought she was from Liliane’s side, but she was not.”

“Yes. I had forgotten until recently.”

“I see.”

Chris’s cheeks pulled back slightly.

“Thank you. That was helpful.”

“No problem. Let’s do a little research on my end as well.”

Lilia waved her hand lightly and left the place to go to her room.

Phrygia apparently wanted to know more about Lilia however she had no connections that she could think of. However, since Lilia is well known in aristocratic society, it is not so much of a mystery. But if that’s the case, why doesn’t she just talk to Lilia directly?

S–There’s no point in worrying about it now, you know.

L–That’s true, too. She hasn’t done anything to me, so let’s forget about it.

However, I am still curious about this. Phrygia must not have become one of Chris’s cronies recently. If I search my memory, I think she has been one of Chris’ cronies since at least the beginning of her enrollment at this school. Perhaps she had been watching me since then.

The next day.

The first day of the semester is a day of just listening to the teacher in the classroom, with no specific classes. Only the senior nobles are free to not attend on this day. Since most important information is communicated in advance through the servants who work in the dormitories, there is no need to hear it again.

For these reasons, many of the senior nobles return to their dormitories on the first day. It is rare for them to come back the day before like Lilia and Chris, and in the end Lilia did not see any other senior aristocrats except Chris yesterday. Lilia herself used to return to the dormitory on the first day before.

Even though I returned the day before, I did not intend to go to the classroom. I just arrived the day before as a result of trying not to be in a hurry to get ready on the day of the event.

Lilia was leisurely drinking tea without doing anything in particular. Then, just as she was beginning to think it was almost time for lunch, there was a knock at the door of her room. Alisa immediately went to the door, opened it slightly, and rolled her eyes in surprise.

“Please wait a moment, sir.”

“My Lady Lilia. His Highness.”

“Ah……..Yes. Cynthia, is there a way to sneak out of the room?”

“There is, but…..”

When she asked the ceiling, a muffled voice that only Lilia could hear was heard.

S–Lilia…….

At Sakura’s somewhat accusatory voice, Lilia chuckled. Sighing, she nodded to Alisa. Alisa let out a small sigh of relief and opened the door again.

The prince enters, ushered in by Alisa while Lilia sat up and smiled.

“It’s been a while, Your Highness. I hope you are well……..”

“Heh.”

The prince chuckled, but his expression quickly tightened.

“Liliane, I want to ask you something.”

“What is it?”

“There’s something wrong with Tina, do you know what it is?”

Lilia’s eyes narrowed sullenly, and the prince said in a panic.

“Wait! I didn’t see Tina in person! I just saw her from afar and thought she looked a little out of sorts!”

“I see. Maybe she’s not feeling well.”

“No, I don’t think so.”

Lilia felt a little chilly at the prince’s assurance and took a step back.

S–I know how you feel, but you need to calm down. Tina wouldn’t miss any classes even if she wasn’t feeling well. He’s saying that Tina should take a day off if she’s not good.

L–Oh, I see. I thought His Highness had finally turned into a stalker.

The prince tilted his head curiously at Lilia. Lilia coughs deceptively and says.

“I actually got into a bit of a fight, something like that. It may have been the result of that.”

“A fight? You and Tina, huh?”
