cw: violence and mutilation

The moment the man’s face was revealed in the light, Kang Giha doubted his eyes.

“Executive Director…”

A quiet mutter like a sigh escaped. Did a ghost appear? Was it an optical illusion? Surely he had come out to meet the real owner. He looked everywhere, but there was no one except that lunatic bastard.

“Why… is Executive Director Cha here?”

“I have an appointment.”

A dry smile crept across Cha Yiseok’s lips.

“Don’t be afraid and come closer. That is, whether you sign it or not.”

“——!”

Cha Yiseok stood crookedly and waved the papers in his hands. Kang Giha’s complexion suddenly changed to a leaden colour. He focused his eyes on the paperwork. The documents contained a copy of Paradiso’s register and information related to the transfer of ownership. And the name ‘Jang Hyunsik’ was stamped on it. He was indeed the owner of the Paradiso, where he reported quarterly earnings to. Kang Giha’s mind could not accept this situation. It took a long time for the tangled thoughts to cool down.

“Why do you have this? What is your relationship with Jang Hyunsik?”

His mouth burned at the answer that didn’t come back. He gathered his last remaining rationality and gritted his teeth as he murmured.

“Are your ears blocked? Why… this… I’m asking you why you have it?!”

“Jang Hyunsik is a fictional character. It’s my alter ego that takes care of the troublesome things that have to be done.”

Kang Giha’s facial muscles twitched. If Jang Hyunsik was the alter ego of a crazy bastard, then… no way…

“You bastard…”

After that, his teeth trembled as he mustered out the next words.

“… Don’t bullshit. The shop was invested in 10 years ago. You’ve barely gotten out of high school, and you can forge documents like this, you expect me to believe you with such flimsy evidence? Why are you revealing now after all this time?”

“It’s none of my business whether you believe it or not.”

A sudden voice cut off the words.

“But I want you to believe me. Aren’t we in a deep, intertwined relationship?”

Cha Yiseok flicked Kang Giha’s earlobes with his fingertips. It was a place where he had pierced with a fountain pen before. The thought paralyzed Kant Giha so much that he couldn’t even shake off his disgusting hands.

There was no information about the owner. It was said that someone in his family was sick and needed a healer, so he invested, but when he found one, they were already dead, and the owner abandoned the shop. After that, they communicated only through an agent. And documents that he could not have unless he was the actual owner. He denied it with his head, but all the arrows pointed to one place. Blood rushed to the top of his head. What the fuck… the real owner… was this crazy son of a bitch? That bastard?! He went mad trying to tear his arrogant face to shreds.

“Don’t bullshit. How could you… ! How… !!”

At that time, the men who walked out from pillars of the building grabbed Kang Giha from both sides. They were his kind, living off their fists in this line of work. Kang Giha broke their jawbones. As if on cue, two of his men drew their swords to protect him. The weapons they swung at each other cut their flesh and shattered their bones. There were bloody screams. Outnumbered, Kang Giha and his men were quickly surrounded. The men kicked them in the back of the legs, forcing them to their knees. Kang Giha stopped resisting.

“Don’t touch the guys.”

“The owner and the dogs who care for each other, how touching.”

The thugs beat and tied Kang Giha’s hands behind his back and bound him. Cha Yiseok grabbed him by the neck and threw him against the wall. His eyes, illuminated by the light, glistened like hungry wild beasts.

“Shut your snout, because I’m going to pull your dog’s teeth out for every word you say.”

Cha Yiseok said.

“I will hand over Paradiso. I have no intention of playing dirty between us. I’ve also gained something big, so I pass it to you for cheap. The share I gave you should be good enough. How about it?”

Kang Giha’s facial muscles twitched.

“You bastard…”

Cha Yiseok laughed into his throat.

“You broke the rules, so you should be punished.”

A buzz cut man shoved pliers into the mouths of his subordinates. The pliers dug into the gums. The fleshy teeth were ripped out by the root. The men twisted and vomited blood.

“Urgh… !”

“Stop! You son of a bitch!! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!!”

Kang Giha screamed. Cha Yiseok’s dagger-like eyes sent a signal. Without a second glance, the silver weapon ripped out the teeth of his subordinates. As the bloody pieces fell, the men went mad with raw pain. Only the fainting dog and flesh-stained teeth lay on the floor. One of the men pressed a knife to Kang Giha’s throat. He bit his molars and closed his mouth. “Hmm…” Cha Yiseok let out a snort and squeezed the centre of Kang Giha.

The hand went up and unfastened Kang Giha’s belt, opened the zipper, and pulled down his pants and underwear at once. The genitals were exposed. Cha Yiseok took the knife that had touched Kang Giha’s neck. His crotch was spread open by the rude shoes. Then, the tip of the knife, which radiated an elongated glow, touched the scrotum. With an eerie premonition, Kang Giha struggled hard. Cha Yiseok took out his neatly folded handkerchief from his back pocket. The hand that put the towel on Kang Giha’s mouth was gentle.

“The anaesthetic is not ready. Bite because your teeth might be ruined.”

Immediately, the tip of the knife cut through Kang Giha’s flesh and penetrated to the base of the vital point. He cut out the testicles like pulling out a stone beak stuck in the ground. A round lump rolled down on the dirt floor.

“Aaarghhh!”

“Boss——!”

It was the awfulness of pouring heated iron into the fire. Kang Giha rolled his eyes and twisted his limbs. His men screamed in agony as they were beaten to a pulp. The big men grabbed the glowing Kang Giha from both sides and pinned him down. The point of the knife was aimed at the other scrotum. His eyes were filled with fear. The blade lifted the soft skin and teased the place where the sensitive nerve centered within.

“Did you do the same to Yaba too?”

Kang Giha cried out, his voice like blood.

“Did you have this much fun like me?”

The limbs were twisted apart in a punishment worthy of death. The gagged handkerchief fell helplessly. A blood-curdling voice choked out of Kang Giha.

“… I hate bastards like you the most… Keugh… ! You have nine… and yet you take the one thing that others have… steal from others… Yaba is… my masterpiece… The whole body, even his head… I made him with my own hands! Every day for 10 years… Aaagrhhhh—!”

The second testicle was pulled out. The tip of the knife was numb and orderly, but Cha Yiseok’s bloodshot whites were an amoeba bereft of judgement. It was as if his entire lower body had been torn apart by boiling lava. It was an agony that would damage the body and mind, and would rather die. He grabbed Kang Giha’s hair and met his gaze.

“I washed everything that your dirty hands touched. No crappy drugs, no chips.”

He grabbed his wrist, twisted it, and dipped it in a pool of blood between his crotch. He pressed his bloody thumb onto the documents and shoved it into Kang Giha’s inner pocket.

“I’ll give you a few free bucks for the road to the underworld.”

He still couldn’t believe it. It’s a scene that he’d been looking forward to, the day he would meet the real owner, but he’d never imagined it even in his dreams. But that madman was the owner? That bastard?! His mind froze in the blood.

The papers were stamped with bloody marks. A third voice that invaded the human subconscious and shook the sanctuary, a voice where angels and demons coexist. Kang Giha was fascinated by that short phrase and he had devoted his whole life to it. But he was different from his father. He was finally fulfilling his father’s dreams…

Bloody papers fluttered in the inside pocket of the suit.

Boss! Boss——!!

His subordinates screamed with blood dripping from their mouths. Men’s shoes and clubs rushed in. Cha Yiseok stepped back and lit a cigarette. The men poured cement on Kang Giha’s head. Even when the cement flowed down, only his eyes sparkled. The remaining men smashed the pillars. When the iron frame was exposed, he was inserted into the space inside it. Cement was applied to cover the figure of Kang Giha and the smell of blood. Only bloodied dogs and flesh-covered teeth littered the floor. A burly man ran over and held out an object.

“I got them all from the guy’s car.”

In the hands of the man, there were various documents and an unknown device. Cha Yiseok took what the man offered and threw away the cigarette. He extinguished the cigarette with his shoe and stared at the pillar, which had been polished with cement.

“You became part of the Paradiso that you wanted so much.”

Cha Yiseok took out a new cigarette and sat there for a long time.
