Even in his unconscious state, he continued to have nightmares.

The days when he was trapped in a beehive, the numerous treasures he had taken away, and the whereabouts of the eleventh subordinate.

“Where is this…?”

When he regained consciousness, Kien realized that his entire body was tightly bound.

He tried to twist his body, but he couldn’t move. It felt like his body was tightly wrapped in iron chains.

On the opposite side, there was a person whose face was hidden in the shadow.

Perhaps it was his turn for interrogation.

“Are you… a policeman?”

“No.”

Step by step, the person in the shadow came forward.

“He’s the policeman.”

Kien frowned. In the dark prison floor, there was a man wearing a police uniform who had fainted and fallen asleep. The man who kicked him with his foot had dazzling silver hair.

“Who are you?”

“Someone who will answer your questions.”

“You… You’re not that madman, are you?”

“You just saw me, didn’t you?”

The man’s face was fully revealed. Piercing blue eyes. He was the clueless guy who had been held hostage.

“Let me introduce myself properly. My name is Siebel. It seems you didn’t recognize me as your old companion.”

“What?”

“Elrose Kingdom’s treasure theft case, Kiara King’s tomb robbery case. We worked together, didn’t we? I was your subordinate, and you were the leader.”

“You… You…!”

“Ah, yes. I’m a spy who infiltrated your team. Your subordinate’s original name was McKell. I became interested in the Thieves’ Cult and killed him to take on his identity. It was easy. Operating among colleagues without knowing each other’s faces. I even thought of imitating it myself. It didn’t suit me to be a part of our organization.”

“You!”

“By the way, I also know the location where Charon hid the treasures.”

“You bastard!”

Kien tried to move his body, but his restrained body didn’t budge.

“Why did you do that?”

“Well… First… hmm. I was annoyed by the Thieves’ Cult. Secondly, if there were talented individuals, I intended to steal them away.”

Siebel smirked.

“And now, the time has come. You understand now, don’t you? How insignificant and pathetic that cult you believe in is. Even a single person like me can ruin your group so easily. Very easily, even more so than having breakfast.”

He was filled with rage.

Everything he said was true. Kieeyan’s group had fallen apart, and the cult had given him the wrong teachings.

“What do you say? Leave the cult at this opportunity. I’ve been observing you for a long time,” Siebel spoke sweetly, like a devil.

But in that moment, a different scene flashed through Kien’s mind. The child who once shattered his world.

Leticia. The child with strawberry-blonde hair, resembling an angel. Kien was thinking of her.

“What kind of religion teaches stealing as common sense? And you came out of the ‘beehive’ to survive? That’s ridiculous. Snap out of it and live properly, Kien!”

‘Really, how did you know my name?’

Thoughts of that child filled his mind.

“Indeed. It seems I haven’t lived properly. Things like the cult… they weren’t the right path.”

“You know it well.”

Siebel took something out from his embrace.

“That’s the artifact you were looking for, isn’t it?”

It was the ring Kien had received from the cult. Kien’s eyes widened.

“I stole it after taking it from your finger when the police confiscated it.”

“Give it back. It’s mine.”

“Then, will you come to my organization?”

“What is that?”

“‘Friend of Crime.’ There happens to be a vacancy. I’ve even prepared a new name for you. It’s not a big group, but it’s a community that helps criminals and lives well together.”

“What’s your purpose?”

“We have plans for several years, but the biggest plan is for now.”

“…”

“To overthrow the nation. To ruin this kingdom. Wouldn’t that be more rewarding than just stealing? Before that, I’m currently bringing down some major criminal organizations and putting them under my control.”

“Hey, first, release me.”

Kien’s mouth curled up.

“Let’s make a deal.”

“A deal?”

“Yes. I have something I need to do.”

Siebel perked up, seeming interested.

“I need to take the lives of those deceiving bastards from the cult. From now on, I’ll only steal what I want. Isn’t that in line with your objectives too? Since I will bring down the cult, release me.”

Siebel pondered for a moment.

“Alright, that works in my favor.”

Siebel added.

“But there’s a condition. You’ve seen my face.”

“So?”

“You must swear not to reveal anything about me.”

“And if I refuse?”

“You’ll go to prison and face the death penalty.”

Siebel shrugged his shoulders.

“It’s nothing special. Isn’t it a common oath for my clients? It’s just that there will be consequences of death if anyone leaks information about me.”

Kien glared at Siebel but nodded his head.

“Fine.”

Siebel raised the corners of his mouth. The image of a red flower tattoo on Siebel’s hand appeared.

He reached out his hand towards Kien’s face.

And as always, Siebel cast his hypnotic and magical spell that he often used on his clients.

The deed was done in an instant.

“Well, now you can escape.”

Siebel released the shackles. Even in that moment, Kien was thinking of the strawberry-blonde girl.

“I’m leaving. I’ve found something I truly desire.”

Kien snatched the ring from Siebel’s hand. A warp gate appeared in mid-air. It was a device that could create a warp gate, allowing him to go anywhere at any time. It was the relic of Kien’s cult.

“Remember to repay your debts. That’s it.”

Kien dashed out. Siebel shrugged his shoulders.

“I forgot to warn you not to impersonate the White Wizard again. Well, fine. If you can’t be under my control when we meet again, I’ll just kill you.”

Kien’s shadow had already disappeared beyond the warp gate, and he made no response to Siebel’s words.

“By the way, because of that girl, there hasn’t been a single successful job lately, and I haven’t had a chance to send flowers to the Duke. But I don’t mind, maybe it’s because a more delicious prey has appeared?”

Siebel hummed to himself. He left the room with the same nonchalant manner as when he entered.
