After finishing my bath and getting dressed, a meal was already prepared for me.

I first drank milk mixed with honey in one gulp.

It was really sweet.

I watched Marianne sipping her chilled wine. I glanced at her as she slowly started her meal.

“Hey, Marianne.”

“Yeah?”

“It’s about the prophecy. I wanted to ask if it’s really okay for me to receive it.”

“Do you believe in prophecies?”

Honestly, I didn’t. The future can change, you know.

“If it’s something good, I want to believe. Have all the prophecies you’ve made so far come true?” I asked honestly.

“I don’t know.”

Marianne gave a simple answer.

“I don’t remember any of the contents of the prophecies I make. When I prophesy, I don’t recall anything.”

What’s that? What is she saying, like divine inspiration? It sent a shiver down my spine.

“Then does a god make the prophecies?”

“Oh, how did you know? You’re really sharp.”

Are you serious… I’m not really into that kind of superstition. Should I decline after all? Marianne looked at my face and burst into laughter.

“Don’t be scared. They say the Saintess is the incarnation of the spring goddess. As the new year approaches and it gets closer to spring, the power of the goddess becomes stronger, and the goddess takes control of me and freely speaks her mind. Actually, I don’t really believe it myself.”

“You don’t believe it?”

Is it still okay then?

“Yeah. I can’t make prophecies about myself anyway. What does it matter if I can’t receive them?”

Ah, I see. I nodded my head.

“But it’s the most precious gift I can give. It’s extremely valuable. Brag to your friends about it.”

“I will.”

Since it’s a gift from Marianne, of course, it’s precious.

A few days later, we arrived soon at the main temple.

“Welcome, Your Grace, the Saintess, and the noble lady. We are honored by your visit.”

The main temple was located in the middle of the forest. It was the first time I had seen such a large building.

When Marianne and I arrived at the main temple, the temple priests were waiting in formation, all bowing their heads in unison.

“Hello.”

I bent my knees, and there was a small gasp among the people.

“Do you know who I am?”

“You are very famous. Some people even said they would like to get your autograph.”

“Why? I don’t have an autograph.”

“Because there is a special feature about the princess in the newspaper.”

One of the priests showed me the newspaper. They even had a pen as if they were expecting to get my signature.

[Genius little princess who saved numerous people at the fair! What is the children’s clothing ordered by the noble lady this year? The trend forecast is for children’s dresses this New Year!]”

…I couldn’t help but let out a sigh, feeling sorry for the paper. This can’t be the kingdom’s own newspaper, right?

“I don’t know why this is being published, Marianne…”

“I know, right? Should I tell Collen to make this newspaper disappear? It’s really funny. We should pay them to write articles! And besides, they didn’t even capture your cuteness properly!”

No, Marianne, it’s not that either.

‘Let’s not talk about it.’

After the incident at the fair, there have been a few articles about me, but am I still that big of a deal?

“I think I can make a prophecy today.”

When Marianne said that, the temple priests were delighted as if they were about to jump. It felt like Marianne was reading their reactions incredibly well.

“The drinks are ready.”

“How many people are we expecting today?”

“There are three people waiting for prophecies today. All of them made reservations five years ago. One of them is a royal descendant. They came secretly.”

If it’s a royal descendant, is it a princess or a prince?

‘Could it be Lavigne?’

Then the talkative Lavigne must have sent a bunch of annoying letters, right? Marianne became annoyed.

“How many times is it this time? The royal family really has a lot of kids.”

“For the royal family, they have top priority… Actually, there were a lot of talks just about giving the first prophecy to the princess.”

Me? I blinked.

“Be careful with your words in front of the child.”

“Yes, I apologize. Princess, it wasn’t with ill intent. You will receive the first prophecy.”

The elderly priest stuttered.

“However, there was originally an order, so why suddenly give the prophecy to the young lady this year?”

It was a curious gaze.

“Because she’s cute,” Marianne answered with a playful smile.

“Yes?”

“We had no choice but to give it to her because our child is too cute.”

The priest looked at me and then at Marianne, nodding shortly after.

“If that’s the case…”

Um, please don’t just accept it without questioning.

I broke out in a cold sweat as I thought. But Marianne, why are you being so capricious today?

‘Are you sure you want to prophesy?’

But there was no time to talk to Mariane.

“I’ll go in when I’m ready for the ablution. And baby too.”

“Yes, understood.”
