Chapter 29 – Promise
Suddenly faced with so many envious eyes and expressions of classmates, Chengcheng was so giddy with excitement that culminated in a strong pride. While he was sitting on his father’s shoulders, he had the opportunity to see the envious expressions of his classmates. “It’s what I should do. I owe this child too much. I need to make it up to him.” His palm gently stroked his son’s hair, then he suddenly spoke to her: “I also want to make it up to you as well.”
Tang Xianlian got startled once she heard that, when she looked into his eyes, they were burning hot. That made her jumpy then shouted: “What is there to make up for? I’m fine now.”
Bai Shuli had got to seize the opportunity, he couldn’t let her run away. He had suffered a lot in the years he had been in the business world, but he had learned one thing.
Often, timing was an important thing. You had to make your move quickly, hesitation would only make you lose the opportunity. He had made a mistake back then, he doesn’t want to regret it once more. He knows that she has a boyfriend, but so what? Even if she was with someone else now, he could still take her away. The opportunity was fleeting and he didn’t want to give up on her.
He took her hand and made a commitment to her: “So long as you are willing, I’ll immediately marry you. Then the three of us will form a genuine family.”
