Charlotte jumped closer to Nina as she was going down the stone steps from the back door leading to the garden.

“Is your body okay?”

“Yes, I’m fine.”

“Hair…….”

Charlotte had a face she wanted to cry. Nina swept her hand through the cut hair.

“It was uncomfortable because it was too long anyway.”

Nina, who passed it over like nothing, placed her hand on Charlotte’s shoulder.

“I heard you made a contribution to the capture of Baron Verdin”

“It wasn’t me, it was Raja and Kell.”

As Charlotte blushed in response, Kell and Raja stepped forward at once.

“Charlotte was directing it.”

“If it weren’t for Charlotte, we would have missed him.”

Nina chuckled.

“I know. Even if you catch it, the credit will go to the leader first, right, Charlotte?”

Charlotte quickly jerked her head up with a clear expression of embarrassment. Nina smiled.

“It’s a position like that, Charlotte, the more you take responsibility, the more authority you have, and the more you work, but at the same time, the more rewards you get.”

“That……..”

Creaking with shame, Charlotte looked into Kell and Raja’s eyes, but the two of them were calm. Kell sneaked the book back into her hand making her eyes flutter.

“Well done, Charlotte. I’m proud of you.”

A word of Nina’s compliments was more pleasing than any other reward, so Charlotte smiled broadly.

Nina added.

“It’s not a prize if I only use congratulatory words, so should I give you something? They said you received an award, but is there anything in particular you want?”

Charlotte lowered her gaze. It’s an expression that she wanted to have something, but can’t speak, making Nina laugh.

“What is it? Tell me.”

“……bon…….”

Her voice was faint, but Nina understood. She untied the ribbon holding her hair together and held it out to Charlotte.

“Is this okay?”

“Ye-Yes!”

Mint-colored eyes sparkled as if they were on fire.

“Come on, sit here. I will do it for you.”

When Nina pointed at the bench, Charlotte was at a loss and hurried to sit down. Nina straightened the wide ribbon and tied it like a hairband to make a ribbon shape.

“It suits you.”

With a satisfied face, Nina patted her on the shoulder. Charlotte smoothed her hair several times.

“Thank you.”

At her polite greeting, Nina smiled and waved her hand. After she went inside, Charlotte quickly turned to Kell and Raja. Looking at her expression, the two had no choice but to compliment her, but in fact, they got along well enough to comfortably do it.

“It looks good on you.”

“It seems to match the color of Charlotte’s eyes.”

Charlotte gave them a rare big smile and trotted inside to look in the mirror. Of course, she didn’t forget to hand the tactics book to Kell once more before she left.

Nina prepared herself and packed her supplies before stopping by Randell. She knocked on Randell’s door.

Knock. Knock.

Nina tilted her head as she could not hear the answer to her knock from inside.

“Randell? Are you inside?”

“Come in.”

She heard his voice as if it came from afar, and Nina carefully opened the door.

“Wow!”

Without realizing it, Nina exclaimed and slid inside as she quickly closed the door.

His room was dark and in it, his pendulum, a celestial sphere, had greatly expanded and rotated slowly. The shining stars and their trails beautifully twinkled.

“Pretty…….”

Exhaling an exclamation mixed with emotional sighs, Nina watched carefully as she gently brought her fingertips into the light tracks. As if made up of fine light powder, the light came and went along Nina’s fingertips and then disappeared.

It was a beautiful and breathtaking sight.

Nina turned her gaze as she was admiring the spinning planets and starts and saw Randell sitting on the windowsill.

“Come here.”

He said as he tapped the seat next to him. Nina sprinted lightly over the stack of books, avoiding them, and arrived next to him.

“What are you doing?”

At Nina’s question, Randell turned her gaze to her.

“Thinking.”

“What are you think?”

Randell glanced at the celestial sphere and then turned to Nina again.

“A review on daily life and non-routine days.”

Nina said, “Oh.” and she recalled the words he had said in the mountains.

“That I am not yet your daily life.”

She didn’t know what that meant.

Looking at Nina’s face, Randell poked her forehead for nothing. Nina, who was stunned, pressed her forehead and opened her eyes.

“Randell!”

“Why are you getting hurt in front of me? You don’t have to save a guy like that.”

“Was this about that?”

“It’s about that.”

His blue eyes flashed coldly as if he was even angrier now that he remembered the situation.

“If you ask me to do that next time, I’ll just kill the other person.”

“Randell!”

“It’s better than watching you get hurt.”

“What nonsense is that.”

Nina was dumbfounded, but Randell was tough. Nina crossed her arms and said.

“So what if I end up resenting you?”

He flinched as if he hadn’t even thought of that.

For Nina to hate him. He had never made such an assumption. Nina, who noticed it when she saw his expression, smiled quietly, and Randell sighed.

“I’ll think about that a little more.”

“Yes, and thanks. I didn’t say thank you yet, did I? Because Randell was there, I was able to trust my back and focus on the job.”

His face was distorted by the words, it was not a pleasant remark in the slightest.

She put her trust in him, but Nina was injured.

The job would have been easier if the idiot’s limbs were cut off, but he couldn’t. Randell was unfamiliar with how to neutralize an opponent without injuring the target. Besides, the opponent was a Bellac, and it was even more unpredictable because it was the highest grade.

So the irritation and anger were not just directed at Nina and Benzel.

‘It was for me as well.’

However, this did not mean that the desire to harass Benzel disappeared.

Nina looked at the spinning celestial body and murmured.

“Seeing this makes it even more difficult to give…”

“What?”

His ears perked up. He waited every day after Nina promised to give him a present. He didn’t show that he was waiting, but he waited every day.

Nina looked at the gorgeous celestial sphere with a troubled face, and then secretly pulled out a large piece of cloth from her pocket.

“Well, I thought to make something like a flag… It’s Randell’s flag, so I embroidered the celestial sphere…”

Randell quickly took the cloth from Nina’s hand and unfolded it.

On the edge of the square fabric, his celestial robe was embroidered quite plausibly. The background color was indigo, and the celestial sphere was golden.

“Did you embroider it yourself?”

“Yes.”

Nina nodded her head and looked embarrassed. Comparing it with the real thing, the embroidered celestial sphere suddenly felt ugly.

Randel folded the fabric into a triangle so that the celestial sphere could be seen clearly, and then wrapped it around his waist.

After tying a knot in the loop on which the belt was attached, he made a contented face.

“I’m going to use it like this.”

“Huh? Is that okay?”

“I like this.”

Rather than putting it up as a flag out of reach, he wanted to put it where he could always touch it.

Neither of them knew that this triangle around his waist would become a symbol of a wizard.

Later on, as Randell wore his waist ornament, the other apprentice wizards also began to wear triangular fabrics embroidered with their own pendulums one by one. Eventually, the Wizard’s Tower officially began to provide the embroidered fabric that became a symbol of an official wizard.

Randell, who was suddenly happy with the gift, said in a friendly tone.

“So, is your daily life okay now?”

“What?”

When Nina asked back at the sudden remark, Randell smiled faintly and took his glasses out of his arms to put them on. As Nina opened her eyes wide in surprise, he touched the glasses frame to say.

“Because Master made it for me I couldn’t throw it out, but I changed the existing magic while fixing it.”

Nevertheless, he still kept it for a symbolic reason.

Randell continued.

“You wanted to go alone with me. Isn’t that because something awkward happened in your daily life? So what happened to that awkward thing.”

At his words, Nina blinked her eyes. He pinpointed the part that she had not been aware of herself.
