Zen asked a man to his left why someone from the Orthodox Faction is taking part in this tournament, to which the man said that the winner of the tournament, if already part of the Orthodox Faction, is awarded a large sum of money.
Hao-Ga and the woman greeted each other, bowing, this was common courtesy in the Jianghu. They both had a sword sheath attached to their waists. Hao-Ga seemed confident, he and the woman together unsheathed their swords, And the judge said "Three, Two, One! You shall now begin fighting!"
Blue jets erupted from Hao-Ga's sword as the woman seemed to disappear into thin air, Hao-Ga was confused until Gaika appeared right in front of him, she swung her sword onto him, but Hao-Ga was able to block the attack. He parried it and created distance.
She has a nice Qinggong, thought Zen.
The judge kept narrating the fight but Zen paid no attention. "Hao Clan: Secret Technique: 1st release!" said Hao-Ga, the blue jets emitting from his sword became more aggressive. He launched towards the woman, but she, again disappeared into thin air, Hao-Ga was baffled.
She appeared back into the battlefield a bit away from Hao-Ga, a powder-y, purple substance released from her sword, the crowd cheered.
Zen felt a bit off, he knew that it was not Qi, or Mana, he couldn't even sense it. When it hit him, she's using poison, obviously someone from a venom cult would use poison.
Hao-Ga seemed to hold his breath as she closed the distance between them, as Gaika tried to slash Hao-Ga, he neglected avoiding, or even blocking the attack, he crouched and as her sword approached Hao-Ga's head, Hao-Ga swiftly slashed her in the abdomen, blood splashed onto the Ground,
"Participant Gaika, from the Purgatory Venom Cult has been defeated!" the crowd cheered even louder, apparently, the Hao clan was a favorite among the common people. "She will also be disqualified for use of external arts!"
The tournament continued for another two hours, it was starting to get dark at night, as the last fight for the day ended, everyone went back.
Zen walked back to the Inn in which he was at afternoon, it was still just as lively. He walked over to the table of the manager, and using what little money he had left, he booked a room for a few days.
As it went dark out, he came out of the Inn and ventured over to an area which was filled with grass and sat down to cultivate his Qi and Kyon.
A few hours passed...
Zen called it enough for the night and stood up, when he heard some distant screaming coming from a forest near him, sensing Qi presence, he rushed over to the forest, as fast as he could. But he found no one, he couldn't even detect their Qi, thinking it was just a Mystic Animal hunting, he went back to the Inn, and slept in his room.
