She just walked out of the bedroom, with her beautiful face sulking at him, "Look at what you did!" She walked over while pointing at her own self.
Li Xiqing turned around and saw where she was pointing at. Upon closer look, he saw her fingers were holding onto her collar, and she was showing him the pink bruises on her collarbone.
Two glaring hickeys were on her collarbone and also behind her ear.
He slowly let out a silly grin, as he caught on her hand and gently pulled her to sit down at the dining chair. She tried to wriggle off while still pouting at him, "It's difficult for me to find the clothes that can cover this. I don't want OnScience people to keep staring at me."
Li Xiqing rubbed her hair slowly, "I can't see it, so you covered it good, don't worry. Here, drink this first." He passed a glass of orange juice to her, trying to pacify his sulking wife.

Li Xiqing prepared a simple omelette, grilled tomatoes with a dash of black pepper, and steamed vegetables for breakfast. He also poured a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice for Shao Yan, while he had a cup of coffee for himself.
She stabbed her fork to her egg while glancing at him who was sipping his coffee, "Why are you not eating?" Shao Yan brought her fork to his mouth and fed him a slice of omelette.
Li Xiqing smiled and opened his mouth to receive it, "I will have a brunch meeting with Chairman of L Corporation later. They are thinking of another deal with a Japanese company." He picked up a few tissue napkins, and put them beside her, "I may have to go there next month."
"By the way, I spoke to Martin yesterday. VP Zhuang sent us the list of OnScience people that came as representatives" he was helping her to slice the omelette so she could eat faster.
"I have taken a look at the list. Some of them have worked with Martin back in Japan, so he said he will call you later to tell you more about their work personalities."
She nodded and then she brought her fork to her plate. She fed him another omelette; this time with a little bit of tomato, "En. I got it. Here is a reward for you. Thank you."
Li Xiqing smiled and rubbed her hair.
'Life like this is enough. As long as she is happy.' he thought to himself.
He felt content.

It was only 8.30 AM in the morning when Shao Yan arrived on the office floor 59. Mr. Wang had requested that each Project team to send three people as representatives for this meeting; and she had decided to send Fan jie, uncle Huo and herself.
When Shao Yan walked in, she saw that an intern from another team, was handing out printed materials that she had collected yesterday, along with one additional paper attached to it.
The intern, He Ming, saw Shao Yan entered the room, and he quickly rushed over to talk to her.
"Project Manager Shao, there is a last minute update to the brochure. The original Team Lead from OnScience had a family emergency and another team lead will have to replace her."
Shao Yan nodded at him, "Oh alright. Do you need help to distribute those?" She pointed at the stack of papers in his hand.
He Ming quickly shook his head and was about to step away, "No it's alright. I'm almost done."
Shao Yan gave him a smile and then walked over to Fan jie and sat down next to her, "Have you read through the materials?" Shao Yan picked up the materials that was placed on her chair.
Fan jie was leafing through the materials and shook her head, "Why do we need to remember all these people's name and title, it doesn't make any sense" she sighed and then jabbed her fingers on the materials, "I'm old now, how do you expect me to memorize this?"
She threw the brochures to the side. Mr. Wang saw the whole thing and he quickly gave her a side eye. Fan jie gulped and smiled embarrassed, she picked up the brochure again and pretended to read solemnly. No longer sounding any complains.
Not long after, more people from the Project Team started to arrive and fill up the empty seats. Right when the clock hit 9 AM, several new faces started to enter the door. They occupied the empty seats provided for them, sitting opposite the Gold Crane Project Team.

A woman in her mid 30s occupied the seat at the head of the table, next to Mr. Wang. Dressed in honey color long sleeved satin shirt with a bow accent at the front of her chest, she paired it with ankle length beige fitted slim pencil pants. Her silky, long black hair was tied to a ponytail. Overall, she emitted an elegant, yet strictly independent aura.
Speaking fluently in Japanese with Mr. Wang, she was explaining the whole schedules that she had planned for the day.
After she finished, she turned her head back to face the rest of the team in the room, and started to introduce herself in English.
"Hello, my name is Risa Yamaguchi. I will be working alongside everyone here for the next three months. Thank you for your guidance."
Shao Yan slowly turned the page of the booklet to look for her biography introduction. She saw that the original booklet was dedicated for Helen Kanagawa. The page for Helen was a short one, it was only mentioning her age and background education. No list of achievement or past projects.
Shao Yan tilted her head to the side, her eyebrow softly crunched together. 'A Team Lead without any past projects? That's weird' - she thought inwardly.
She turned over to the single page that was added today, it was the biography page for Risa.
35 year old Risa was an MBA graduate from UCLA and she had been working for OnScience for five years now. The page also listed down her most accomplished projects to date. Her list of achievement was astounding enough that rendered Shao Yan speechless.
Shao Yan looked back at the head of the table with a newly found respect for her. 'Now, she, on the other hand, is the real deal. These three months would be interesting.' Shao Yan slowly smile excitedly.
