“Execution of the Plan”

“Create Golem”

I use the advanced skill “Inorganic Life Creation” to create the golems needed for this operation.

After much consideration, the method to end this war without casualties was to “use golems to capture the soldiers and forcibly return them to the Second Kingdom.”

Using magic would easily drive them away, but it could cause injuries or even fatalities if mishandled.

Since I had promised Margrave Byreus to avoid casualties, I wanted to avoid any options that might lead to fatalities. Hence, it was time for the golems to take the stage.

The task was relatively simple: create 30,000 golems, the same number as the enemy soldiers, and assign one golem to capture one soldier, making the operation feasible.

However, creating such a vast number of golems requires a considerable amount of magical power. Thus, I believe only Nagartinya, besides myself, was capable of executing this plan. She might look like a loli granny, but there was no doubt she was my master, and she was full of clever tricks.

First, to create the golems for capturing the soldiers, I produced artisan golems. Then, I have these artisan golems sequentially create the specified golems for capturing, allowing us to generate the desired golems in a short amount of time.

The capturing golems were about the same height as me and measured about 140 centimeters in size. Considering they would be carrying humans, I chose stone golems instead of wooden ones.

After less than an hour, 30,000 capturing golems were produced, and preparations for transporting the soldiers were complete. However, there was still an issue.

“The means of transportation are fine… but they will definitely resist during transport.”

Yes, while I had prepared 30,000 golems to carry thirty thousand soldiers, the problem was that the soldiers would resist being carried.

Imagine being carried against your will by a third party; it was easy to understand that they wouldn’t accept such a situation silently.

Naturally, they would resist, and there was a high possibility of them escaping. Therefore, I needed a way to prevent resistance.

If I wanted to save time, I could target the soldiers while they were sleeping. However, there would most likely be guards, and it was highly unlikely that all soldiers would be sound asleep.

Even if such a situation did occur, there was a good chance that many soldiers would wake up once they realized their bodies were being carried away. Therefore, I needed to intentionally render them in a state where they couldn’t resist.

After some thought, surprisingly, I quickly found an answer.

“That’s right. If they resist, we can just put all of them to sleep with magic.”

As a means to prevent resistance while transporting the soldiers, I decided to use magic to put them to sleep. However, putting to sleep thousands of soldiers simultaneously was not an easy task.

It was possible to individually cast a sleeping spell on each soldier, but there was a risk of being discovered while doing so, and it would require a significant amount of magical power. Even though I had grown stronger, using magic on thirty thousand humans all at once was still challenging.

“Well, it’s not impossible. But some of them might resist and not fall asleep.”

Thanks to my constant training in magic control and manipulation, the skills “Mana Control” and “Mastery of Magic” have evolved and merged into an advanced skill called “Arcane Mastery”.

With this power, it was still difficult to use a single magic spell on a vast number of people simultaneously. However, I came up with an idea that might work.

“That’s it. Instead of using thirty thousand individual spells, I can use one extremely wide-ranging magic spell, right?”

Before explaining the idea further, let me clarify the concept of magic in this world.

In this world, magic was a real physical phenomenon that consumed an unknown energy called mana. By visualizing the desired effect in their minds, magicians could manifest that event using magic.

In contrast to some worlds where magic involved complex spell arrays or other elements like programming, this world didn’t require such things. The key was to clearly visualize the desired outcome in the mind.

Famous RPGs might have spells like “Heal” or “Firebane,” but in this world, there were no magic circles or complex rituals. Magicians simply learned different spells based on their profession or occupation. (+)

Of course, merely visualizing the magic wasn’t enough to trigger it; it also required a certain amount of mana. Even if the visualization was perfect, insufficient mana could prevent the spell from activating.

Moreover, the condition for activating magic, which was “visualizing the desired outcome,” was quite simple. However, the required amount of mana was considerably higher compared to other worlds.

Not many people in this world were aware of this condition, and many had learned magic using ineffective methods passed down from their predecessors.

Furthermore, to use magic, one must have the corresponding magic skill of the desired spell. For example, if you wanted to use fire magic, you needed the skills “Fire Magic” or “Flame Magic”.

If not for these conditions, the world would be overflowing with magicians. I believe that it was due to these conditions that the total number of magicians in this world remained relatively stable.

After all the exposition, the conclusion was that I could use magic to put the soldiers to sleep and prevent them from resisting during transportation. However, I had the condition that all soldiers needed to be put to sleep, which was not an easy task…

“Now then, let’s give it a try. ‘Area-Wide Magic’・’Sleep’.”

I used the magic spells consecutively, starting with the light attribute magic “Area-Wide Magic” and followed by the dark attribute magic “Sleep”, aiming to cast a wide-ranging Sleep on the target soldiers. The designated area was considerable, so the demand for magical power was substantial, and I felt my own magical power depleting rapidly.

Still, it seemed to be less demanding than casting Sleep thirty thousand times individually, and I managed to have enough magical power. The entire base where the soldiers of the Second Kingdom were stationed was enveloped in a thin blue membrane. Upon witnessing this, the soldiers showed signs of vigilance, but they couldn’t resist the drowsiness that quickly overwhelmed them, luring them into a deep sleep.

Observing this situation and confirming that all soldiers were asleep, I instructed the created golems.

“Transport the soldiers.”

『Mrrr.』

The thirty thousand golems, with their eccentric noises as usual, responded and headed toward the enemy base. They lifted the sleeping soldiers as instructed and began marching toward the territory of the Second Kingdom.

Although it was awe-inspiring to see such an enormous number of golems assembled, the fact that each golem was just carrying one person back to its original location left me with mixed emotions.

And so, I successfully repelled the soldiers of the Second Kingdom without a single injury or casualty.
