Chapter 247 - "Additional Orders"

The next day after getting ready in the morning, I headed to Commercio Trading Company. Before going to Commercio Trading Company, I stopped by my mansion’s garden and the orphanage to procure the ingredients needed for the cookies.

After gathering various ingredients, I arrived at Commercio Trading Company where the slaves and Machad were already waiting for me.

After a brief greeting, I handed the magic bag I had prepared yesterday over to Meranda.

“Master, what’s this?”

“It’s a magic bag containing the food stall and cookie ingredients we used yesterday. And I’m not your master. Don’t get it wrong.”

“…A magic bag?”

While saying that, Meranda deftly ignored my reminder about calling me master. The magic bag I gave her has a somewhat special design.

The contents don’t deteriorate over time, and it has a fairly large capacity of 2 tons. As a security measure against theft or misplacement, it has magical recognition that requires registered magic power. If it moves a certain distance away from the registered user, it teleports back to right by their side.

What is threatening is that even if you try to take this magic bag by putting it in another magic bag, or isolating it in a different dimension, it still returns to its owner in the same way.

In other words, only people who have pre-registered their magic power can hold this magic bag, making it nearly impossible for anyone else to take it.

Incidentally, magic power can only be registered by directly touching the magic bag, it can’t be registered any other way.

Needless to say, I’m the craftsman of this magic bag, making me the only one able to hold it in practice. Other time-space magic users might be able to make non-deteriorating items, but bags that return to their owners involve teleportation magic, so the only other person who could probably make the same thing is Nagartinya.

The slaves probably don’t realize they’re handling what would be considered a national treasure in this world, but I registered my magic power without commenting and entrusted the management of the magic bag to them.

Now they can take out the stall even when I’m not around, enabling cookie sales anytime. Then we headed to the same street stall space as yesterday.

“Oh, you’re finally here!”

“Hurry, start selling!”

“It was worth lining up early!”

There were already dozens of people lined up in the same spot as yesterday. Seeing us, even more customers joined the line. Some were customers who couldn’t buy cookies yesterday. Despite it being before opening, the line was rapidly approaching a hundred people.

“Do it like yesterday, please. Machad and I have some business, so we’ll be going.”

“Understood.”

Saying that, the slaves immediately started opening preparations and began business. Visiting customers bought the max 50 pieces and left looking satisfied.

Seeing that, I nodded towards where I felt a gaze. I wanted to stay here since I didn’t know what would happen, but I trusted the slaves and headed to a certain place with Machad.

It was a place I had visited before. I opened the door without hesitation, went inside, and as always there was a middle-aged man absorbed in his work with a serious expression―Hedwig.

I watched his work for a while, careful not to disturb him, and tried my hand at making some wooden dolls. It seemed he had reached a breakpoint in his work, as I heard the kind of groan that comes from stretching your body.

“Mm, ahh~”

“Looks like you’re at a stopping point.”

“Woah, when did you get here!?”

“More importantly, I need you to make two stove-equipped food stalls urgently if you can.”

“That’s sudden… Come with me.”

Following Hedwig’s lead, he took me to a place exhibiting his finished works, where five stove-equipped food stalls were placed.

“This is…”

“There were four here originally. The one I was working on earlier got finished, so there’s five now including that.”

“Sell me two of them. How much?”

“Keep the money. Consider it thanks for last time.”

“I can’t do that. The going rate was 1 small gold coin, right? I’ll leave it here.”

I took out two small gold coins from my item box and quietly placed them on the nearby workbench. Hedwig snorted in dissatisfaction at that, but I wanted him to graciously accept payment for labor.

“Anyway, I’ll take those two. Get the remaining three to that merchant. Also, make another 10 or 20 just in case.”

“Do you really need that many?”

“They’re not for me. There will probably be others wanting stove stalls later, so best to make them while there’s time.”

“Got it. I’ll prepare them.”

With just that said, we exchanged brief farewells, and Machad and I left Hedwig’s house. Getting additional stove-equipped stalls means we can increase cookie production to meet demand.

Thinking that, when we returned to the street stall area with Meranda and the others, there seemed to be some kind of commotion near the entrance. Wondering what was happening, I approached and saw two men grappling and fighting.

“What’s that about?”

“Supposedly the guy in line first got cut by the guy who came later. That led to an argument and ended up like that.”

“Geez. Which one cut in line?”

“Ah, the one in the dominant position now.”

After asking a spectator for details, I walked over to the men. It was obvious the line cutter was in the wrong, so I grabbed his neck and lifted him up.

“Whoa! What the hell, let me go!”

“That’s my line. If you’re gonna cause trouble in front of my shop, I’ll ban you from it.”

“Huh!? There’s no way a kid like you owns that shop or something! You can’t do that!”

“Unfortunately, I’m the investor behind the company running that shop. So I can easily ban just you if I want.”

“You… You gotta be lying…”

“Believe it or not, suit yourself. You just won’t be able to buy there anymore.”

When I said that, he instantly calmed down. Since I was holding his neck, he probably realized he couldn’t win with force. I gave the man his remaining options.

“You have three choices left. Apologize to that guy and line up at the back again, apologize and come try buying again another time, or no apology but get banned. Go on, pick your favorite option.”

“Ngh…”

With that said, the man choked on his words but still lowered his head and said “Sorry” to the man he had been fighting with. Rather than lining up at the back, it seems he chose to try again another time, as he disappeared into the crowd.

“That was close.”

“O-Oh, thank you.”

“Don’t mention it.”

I spoke a word to the victimized man. He immediately returned to the line, but seemed injured from the fight, holding his shoulder. Without him noticing, I healed him with High Heal then headed to Meranda and the others.
