"What is that..." Waver's brow furrowed tightly.

"The one responsible for Heine Istari's death launched an attack from a different dimension," Shirou explained. He positioned himself and gestured towards the ground beneath them. "There's another space right here. I need your help to create a simulated connection to that space."

Understanding the concept, Waver asked, "An imaginary channel... I see. The true culprit is in a different space, and you're unable to directly intervene, so you came to me?"

"Exactly."

"Imaginary numbers are abstract elements, and an imaginary channel is an application of those elements. I do have a method to construct it. However, my magical energy is insufficient."

"I'll supply the magical energy and ensure your safety. Your task is to construct the spell," Shirou assured Waver.

Understanding his role, Waver nodded in agreement. He pricked his finger and swiftly traced a complex magic circle on the ground.

Once again, the black mist gathered, bringing forth the resurrected beast accompanied by a horde of angelic Evil Spirits.

Like territorial predators, they lunged at Shirou and Waver.

Swiftly, Shirou took out his black muds, swiftly eliminating each and every one of them.

Simultaneously, the space surrounding them flickered with cold gleams emanating from another space. These gleams launched a barrage of attacks towards them.

Nevertheless, he skillfully blocked each attack, countering them one by one.

A sigh of relief escaped Waver's lips.

This feeling of security...

It instantly transported him back to the days of the Fourth Holy Grail War.

Following the war, he had journeyed to the Middle East, where he found himself entangled in various perilous situations involving fellow magi of the Clock Tower.

To be honest, each of those encounters had been fraught with danger.

Indeed, over the course of these past nine years, he had walked a tightrope between the realms of mystery and reality, facing numerous dangers. It was for this reason that he had rarely experienced a true sense of security during these years.

Yet now, standing beside Shirou, he felt a genuine sense of safety that he had yearned for.

However, before him stood the question: Was this person truly Fujimaru Shirou, or the Eternal King?

"I have a question, Eternal King," Waver began. "All I possess is magical knowledge... And when it comes to magical knowledge, Lord Barthomeloi surpasses me in every aspect. You could have easily asked her, so why did you choose me?"

"That woman does indeed possess some abilities, but she's not suitable."

"Why is that? Is it because you can't stand Lord Barthomeloi's temperament?"

"No, it's not about her temperament. It's natural for capable individuals to have their own idiosyncrasies. However, compared to her, I find myself more at ease with you. Do you understand? In my eyes, your value surpasses hers. That's why I sought you out."

Waver helplessly said, "But I am a vassal of the Conqueror King..."

"In this day and age, there are no kings anymore."

Waver diligently constructed the magic spell, while Shirou seamlessly infused it with his own magical energy.

It must be acknowledged that Waver's magic circuits were few in number and of subpar quality, resulting in limited magical energy reserves. However, his knowledge of magical theory was extensive, and his practical application skills were formidable. The only thing he lacked was an ample supply of magical energy itself.

"Perhaps I can help you solve your magical energy problem."

Waver was taken aback. "What?"

"It's nothing."

For a brief moment, he contemplated copying the power of [Evil Flower] onto Waver, but he couldn't be certain if Waver could endure its malice. Maybe bolstering Waver's willpower with some skills would enable him to withstand the influence of [Evil Flower]. However, it seemed more prudent to prioritize leaving the Castle of Separation first and conduct the experiment at a later time.

The ethereal pathway materialized before them, like an imaginary bridge.

They stepped onto it, venturing forward into the unknown.

"This... What is this..." Waver furrowed his brow tightly.

Shirou's expression also darkened.

They had successfully opened the imaginary channel, traversing from the underground workshop into a completely different space.

Within this unfamiliar space, they were greeted by a hauntingly familiar scene—the memory of the first battle of the Fourth Holy Grail War. It was the warehouse located at the docks in Fuyuki City.

And at the heart of the warehouse stood Lancer—Diarmuid Ua Duibhne—in an incredibly peculiar state!

"How is it possible for Diarmuid to be here?" Waver exclaimed, clearly astonished by the unexpected sight.

"He's nothing more than an empty vessel, a mere counterfeit devoid of consciousness!"

"Aaaaaaa—!!!" Diarmuid's voice reverberated through the air as he let out a fierce roar, charging directly at Shirou and Waver.

His movements were swift and brimming with unwavering fighting spirit.

However, Shirou had easily defeated and killed Diarmuid nine years ago during the Fourth Holy Grail War. How could things have gone awry now?

Without hesitation, he seized Diarmuid, entrapping him within the cocoon of black mud before crushing him mercilessly.

Waver couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat, his nerves rattled by the sheer brutality of Shirou's method.

No matter how one looked at it, the act of crushing someone in such a manner was undeniably terrifying.

Once Diarmuid's life had been extinguished, no Spiritual Core emerged. Instead, a card materialized in its place.

Shirou picked it up, and the face on the card was identical to that of the Lancer he had killed in Fuyuki City.

"What is that?" Waver asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.

"It's a Class Card..."

But before he could complete his sentence, the Class Card in his hand erupted into flames, disintegrating into spiritual particles in the blink of an eye.

The Class Card had self-destructed!

This sudden turn of events left Shirou dumbfounded.
