Chapter 1: Nice to meet you

Episode 1: Prologue ~Solid Transfer Student Event~

I wonder why this happened…

Mid-August.

While the sun is shining outside, the windows of the classroom were blocked by the curtains and the temperature is comfortable as the air conditioner is turned on.

My seat is beside the window at the end of the classroom and this is the best position for me, I sighed in my heart.

Now, the attention of everyone in the room is to a beautiful girl standing in the podium where the familiar blackboard is installed.

On the 4th day of the second semester of my second year of high school, everyone was in the middle of dancing to a big and surprising event that came on Wednesday, which was the situation right now.

“I’m Christina Kournikova … I’m from Russia. Nice to meet you… Thank you…”

The beautiful girl standing on the podium introduced herself in Japanese.

Yes, a student arrived and transferred into this class today, a beautiful foreigner girl. She had chestnut long hair, white skin normal for Caucasians, and a cool emerald green eyes.

She has a mature yet innocent appearance that Japanese people like.

Her b*****s are modest.

The whole class that’s mainly boys are ecstatic at the transfer of a beautiful girl.

“Shiori is cute, but Christina is also super cute!”

“Hey! Can I call you Chris?”

“Call me Onii-chan!”

Even though she is still in the process of introducing herself, the boys started making noises as if they are impatient. There are even some standing up.

Hmm? Why are they acting so weird?

Meanwhile, I am the only person in the room who is feeling depressed and of course there is a reason.

It’s not that I am an anti-beauty, pacifist or anything that only allowed the black-haired Yamato Nadeshiko. That’s not the case.

I also think that Christina is cute, but…

Knowing that it would be “absolutely troublesome,” I couldn’t let it go.

“Look, everyone! Miss Kournikova can hardly speak Japanese yet. If you talk too much, we’ll be in trouble, won’t we?”

The female homeroom teacher in her mid-twenties gently soothed the class who were acting wildly like rampaging horses.

The nape of her neck peeking out through her short hair is dazzling again today.

“Everyone, if you have a business with Miss Kournikova, please speak Russian at… Oh my God! Please be quiet! Miss Kournikova. Your seat is on… the back of the window, right there, next to Kagami.”

The homeroom teacher knew that she cannot control the wild mobs in the room and just pointed her finger to me so that Christina will understand..

Christina is then freed from the troublesome, self-introduction with a relieved expression and headed to her designated seat.

Beyond that…

Right.

I, Iori Kagami, am seated next to the beautiful transfer student Christina Kournikova.

However, Christina and I already knew each other.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m not in the same class as the others.
Not just the class, but the whole grade level and some people dislike me.
The reason for this is quite unreasonable.
After homeroom, on my way back from the restroom, I passed through the girl who had caused the problem in the hallway.
Bob hair with brown hair. A pretty face. A beautiful girl who is just like an idol.
That woman… is my twin sister. She is Shiori Kagami, who just glanced at me as she passed me.
However, the girls that act as the bodyguards of Shiori looked at me with contempt.
I am amazed at how she can create such an impression in just a year. Well, that doesn’t mean I can’t forgive her in disgust.
While I was thinking of this, I arrived in the classroom.
Opening the sliding door behind me, I let the cool air of the conditioner wash over me.
The first thing that caught my eye when I entered the classroom is the crowd formed around Christina’s seat next to mine.
“Hey Chris, where do you live now?”
“Why did you come to Japan?”
“Taa… Taakoi, Myuu?”
Christina is being attacked by questions from boys with hot blood of adolescence and girls who seemed to be interested in her.
Some of them even show off their Russian-like speaking with one hand holding their phones and translation apps.
Christina, who is exposed to incomprehensible languages (including non-Russian’s), looks like crying at any moment though she is not an expressive person.
She fumbled with her hands clumsily.
“Japanese… I don’t know yet. I’m sorry.”
She is desperately saying sorry like a fawn anxiously begging for help in front of the wolf.
The onlookers, however, aren’t aware that she’s really in trouble, and started yelling in rapid succession.
At the same time, I couldn’t even go back on my seat, and when I was standing at the back of the classroom looking at Christina, she looked sideways.
Recognizing me, she turned from a crying appearance and desperately appealed to me with a relieved face.
In Russian.
“Yori! Yori! These people are scary.”
Oia! Oia! All of the onlookers are surprised at Christina who suddenly said something incomprehensible.
Well, I can’t really overlook this situation.
Hmm… I sigh and call out to reassure Christina for the time being.
In Russian.
“Hey Cheena. I know they don’t understand Russian anyway, but that’s a terrible thing to say.”
At that moment, a wave of murderous intent struck me from all directions.
A/N: Thank you for reading Episode 1!
As I will write later in the main story, ‘Cheena’ is the nickname of Christina in Russia.
By the way, it is ‘Chris’ in the United States.
This is more common, so it’s not surprising that the class members make mistakes.
