Chapter 111: A Dangerous Promise

The Song God was on his side, Hashirama was sure, as he kissed Viola and the song conveniently changed to a more energetic romantic one.

He was still weirded out how this world had songs like "Careless Whisper", and now "Don't Go Yet" but he wasn't complaining. Pushing the woman against the wall, he once again reminded himself that this would end with this kiss, no further than this. His hand felt her curves, his left hand rising to squeeze her plump breasts for once, and then both his hands wrapped around her to squeeze her ass as he deepened the kiss.

Half a minute later, Hashirama almost broke his self-promise, by having made the floor a makeshift bed, by pushing the woman under him and violating her mouth, even as she clung tightly onto him.

At the last moment, when his hand was about to rip off her dress and truly ravage her, he pulled back. He broke the kiss and breathed heavily, though not as heavily as the woman under him, who looked to have received some sort of massage given her relaxed expression.

Hashirama smiled and picked her up. If his two lives had taught him anything, he knew this woman would not attack him now. She was too emotional to do that.

He gently picked her up in his arms, as if she was as light as a feather, and he looked down at her face.

"I would usually drop a lady at her home, but sadly I won't know where you live."

"Haha…" the girl gave him a smile. "Once I could claim the entire country as my home, it would have been more convenient if we had met back then… I really want you."

"Miss, I am a pirate."

Hashirama gave her a smile as a reply to her small confession, more than sure it was just the effect of the pheromone. However, he was unaware it wasn't truly that. Sure, it made her horny, but that couldn't make her love him.

Viola gave him a sad smile.

"So am I. Can you run out? I think you are strong enough to run through the rooftops easily, just drop me near the bridge area."

"All right."

Hashirama leaned down to give her one last kiss, which she accepted lovingly, and then he pushed open a door that was right by his side, leading to the outside through a back door. Then, he kicked away from the lovely music and appeared on top of a house.

His feet moved as if flying across the sky with the princess in his arms, clinging to him with a longing expression on her face as she stared at the moon in the far sky.

…..

After ten seconds, the woman in his arms began to speak. With a sigh, she started.

"I've been spying on you since a while ago. It was my plan to begin with to have you join me on the dance, though you made me choose you on your own."

Hashirama was a little caught off guard by her first words. She was spying on him? That's impossible, he didn't noti-

Ah.

Her devil fruit.

She had eaten the Glare-Glare Fruit. It probably allowed her a form of stealth when spying, that's why he hadn't picked it up. That was quite dangerous, honestly, to go unnoticed while eyes locked on his back.

In fact, he felt insulted, as did his pride — given his first life's history.

Unknown to his thoughts, Viola slowly continued. She was telling him her life's story, and while he knew it from the anime, he still paid attention – even as a form of respect towards her.

Viola's story was sad. She was living the life of a princess, and her royal family was one that could be compared to Alabasta in terms of kindness. They were good people.

Eight years ago, Doflamingo came to their country suddenly. He demanded, asking for a 10 billion beli fee until the dawn of the next day in exchange for leaving the country alone. King Riku, Viola's father, panicked at first but then decided there was no other way if he wanted to avoid a war. He gathered his soldiers and asked them to collect all of the citizens' money, without informing the citizens of the situation.

Just as the money was being gathered, Doflamingo, from behind the scenes, used his Devil Fruit ability to control Riku and made his rampage in the city of Sebio. As panic and confusion spread throughout the kingdom, Doflamingo proceeded to take control of the soldiers as well, making them attack innocent civilians against their will.

Once Riku Doldo lost his credibility and the trust of Dressrosa's citizens, Doflamingo was able to pass himself off as a hero.

After Doflamingo overthrew the Riku Family, he held Doldo captive. Viola joined the Donquixote Pirates to save him.

What Viola didn't know was that someone else had saved Doldo before her.

When Doffy was holding Doldo captive, Kyros arrived at the palace to confront him, when Doldo was right at Doflamingo's feet. When Doflamingo was about to execute Doldo, Kyros cut off his leg which was chained, he attempted to attack Doffy. Even though Kyros was transformed into a toy by Sugar, he managed to escape the palace with Doldo.

However, Doldo had lost all memories of Kyros. As had Viola.

As Viola continued her story, Hashirama felt a bit more than just irritated. More so since that may well have been the fate of Alabasta, the lovely King and Queen whom he was so close to if Sir Crocodile succeeded with his plans. So Hashirama could relate with Viola, as she hugged him and wept, no trace of any acting left as she cried to him, her head on his chest.

Hashirama didn't want to imagine what she had gone through in the last decade. She was a strong woman for holding onto this for so long, and he was sure this was the first time she had cried, at least in front of someone else.

A while later, Hashirama was sitting on a grassy terrain, with the woman still on his chest, hugging him while sniffing silently.

A while after that, she raised her head and laid down by his side. The two of them stared up at the moon for a long time, forgetting all the problems and enjoying the moment. For the first time, she laughed when he lightened the mood with some jokes. That only spiraled into her getting closer to his left arm, as she put it between her chest, hugging it.

After some more kisses and touching, with Hashirama once again rejecting her desire to have him, which she didn't outright say this time and only showed with her action, Hashirama sat back up.

"Viola,"

Hashirama looked up at the moon, as the morning sun was slowly peeking out from behind it.

"You said you came to me in the hope to get revenge?"

"Yes."

Viola didn't hesitate. A small part of her still wished he would go away, leave this dangerous place and survive, but a larger part of her knew he wouldn't leave. Well, she knew he wouldn't leave from the get go. He was going to fight Doflamingo anyway, and she was just here to ride on that boat.

Hashirama turned to her and looked into her eyes.

"You already know about my past with the Donquixote Pirates, no?"

"I do."

"I was planning to fight them anyway. In hindsight, your coming to me to ask me to fight him isn't changing anything. But, at least now I'll be fighting… and winning not only for myself and my sister but for you too. Did that sound corny?"

"It did."

Even as she giggled, she leaped into him, pushing him down, and pressing her lips on top of his. If he was only letting her kiss him, that's what she would do.

Breaking the kiss, she raised her head and looked down at him.

"All-Star King is here."

"You told me."

"Charlotte Smoothie too."

"You told me that as well."

Viola looked down at his smiling face. Sure, she felt touched, but this could be very dangerous for him. She didn't know him for long but… it would hurt to lose him. She hadn't seen anyone win against Doffy to this day, but the knowledge that there was someone stronger than him present on the island already, in the name of King the Wildfire, it broke her fantasy that Doffy was the strongest.

"You… have to survive."

"No. I will win."

Viola's body shivered as the dampness in her panties only grew, somewhat mad that he hadn't pushed her down and ravaged her yet, even as she leaned down to kiss him.

This island was a hell's kitchen. Of the few top players in this field, a lot of them will not survive by the time this sun goes down.

As the sun fully rose above their heads, the D-day began.
