At the Palace,
"Your Highness, please have your food it's already past dinner time." A make said to Alan who was busy looking through the documents.
"I will after I finish this., Alan said as he looked at the food and then again at the documents.

Hearing that the maid left the room and with the exit another person with purple hair and grey eyes which had nothing called emotions wearing the knights uniform along with 3 badges on his coat which showed is level. [Ethan 16years old]

" Your Highness, I am back," Ethan said as he bowed towards Alan who seeing his arrival stood from his seat to greet him.
"Ethan you are back early. Didn't you accompany Alfred to the winter household's ball?" Alan asked as he removed his specs which je wore mostly while working.

"I didn't."
"But why?"
"...I didn't want to..." Ethan said as he looked at Alan who wasn't really satisfied with his answer.
"Ethan, it has been 3 years and I am still unaware of what's going inside you. Or do you also blame Ashton for what happened?" Alan asked as he sighed while looking at the cold person in front of him.

"Your Highness, I would rather keep my feelings to myself than talk it out and make things worse or awkward," Ethan said as he bowed and turned around to leave the room.

"But Ethan who knows that thing you are finding awkward might be the only remedy for the other....and you might not know this yet but...Lady Carot is about to return to the capital." Alan said as he wore his specs and sat on his seats while sticking his nose back to the books.

"Then please excuse me," Ethan said as he left the door while closing the door with a loud thud.
*Sigh* "He is indeed hot-blooded. Daniel your brother is going crazy for you....I wonder if you saw him now how happy you would have been."Alan thought as he smiled while looking at the painting of Daniel holding baby Ethan with a smile and teary eyes.

Meanwhile with Ethan,
Ethan walked down the hallways without a word and the people around him shivered in fear after all he was called the "Red knight" who kills without mercy and extreme pain.
But even that knight has problems he wants to run from and out of such problems one is facing the past.

The relationship between Ethan and Daniel was always known to be hostile but that wasn't the whole truth because of those fights and clashes. Daniel deeply cared for his only youngest brother which is why he was always there to look for him.

Even though he never expressed it in words but he did that night actions whose biggest prove is his death.

"( That idiot sacrificed himself for me and even then I wasn't able to save Lady Carot which made her get so much hurt that it took her 3 years to recover.....)" Ethan thought as he came to his room and lay on his bed comfortably.

"(And more amazing is the fact that I don't clearly remember what happened that night or how I reached to the capital again and also I have no idea of how Daniel died but I do know that he went out for me and was found lifeless around the same place where I and Lady carot were found.)"
"And whenever I try to remember it my head hurts so badly that I even lose my consciousness for a minute or so.....which is why I don't stay in the capital for long and even if I do I am always trying to make myself busy and not think of past..."Ethan talked to himself as he found his clothes and went inside the bathroom for a bath.

"But his highness is right...just how long will I stay like this....my silence might really be a hassle for others. Should I meet them?" Ethan thought as he dried his hair and looked at the moon shining bright in the wide sky and in that perfect scenery all of a sudden Alfred appeared right in front of him which almost made him spit out the water he was drinking.

"Nice body!" Alfred said as he shows him a thumbs up.
"Your Highness! Just how many times did I say not to appear like this out of nowhere! Someday I might really end up hitting you." Ethan said as he wiped his mouth with a tissue.

"Haha, we will see that but Hey! Why didn't you follow me to the ball?" Alfred asked as he handed him a cupcake which he bought from the ball.
"I was tired and not in the mood so I just came back," Ethan said as he ate the cupcake in one go.

"Hah, even I was tired but I still at least showed up there unlike you taking a bath and heading to bed," Alfred said as he laid down on his bed and closed his eyes.
"Your Highness, I apologise for today but can you please not rest ok my bed and go back to yours. I am not really in the mood to entertain you." Ethan said as he pulled Alfred and made him stand on his both feet.

"Tch, so petty! Fine, I am going back to my own room and you stay here alone in your king-sized bedroom." Alferd said as he shook off his hand and with a snap, he vanished right before his eyes.

"So noisy...acting all gentle towards outsiders and throwing deep mockery to the insiders. I don't understand his highness way at all but...I guess that's his manner of showing care. After all, he has always been soft-hearted." Ethan said as he lay on his bed and as the lights of his room were closed he too drifted to sleep.

Meanwhile with Alfred,
"You are back." Alan who was waiting for Alfred in his room asked as he looked at him coming to his room with a tired face.

"Brother...Yes, I am back and please I can't move even a figure so don't give me any order." Alfred said as he climbed to his bed and tucked himself in the soft blanket.

"Do you think I am that bad to send you off as soon you come?"
"Didn't you already do it~sending me to the banquet as soon as I can back from the gelid kingdom?"

"That was because I was busy and they are totally different things. Anyway, how was he?"
"You mean Ethan? He is fine and if I am right by now he must be dreaming." Alfred said as he peeked at Alan who was lost in deep thoughts.

"That's good then you should sleep too. Good work today!" Alan said as he was about to learn the room when Alfred suddenly appeared in front of him.
"And brother Irene is doing fine too and she seems to be missing you so if you can meet her soon or else she might get sad." He said and then within a snap, he was back to his bed leaving a smiling Alan standing there.

After that Alan too went to his bed and closed his eyes as with a smile he whispered with a beating heart and red face,
"I miss you too Irene."

"What?" Irene talked to herself as she looked behind her but no one was there.
"Huh, that's weird I thought someone called me just now? Or am I hearing things?" Irene thought as she stitched her arms and legs and also put lotions on her toes which were swollen because of the tight shoes.

"Ouch, this is why I hate high heels now I will feel this pain for next the 2 days, I should have just asked the second prince to use his healing power..."

"My lady here is your milk," Hana said as she entered the room with a glass of warm milk and noticed the swollen toes.
"My lady, are they painful? Should I ask for some painkillers" Hana asked as she kneeled down and touched her leg gently.

"No need I am just going to sleep and it's doesn't lain that much anyway. You too should go back and rest well today was a very busy day for you too." Irene said a she smiled at Irene and Hana without any argument agreed to her word and went back to her room as Irene dealt with all this on her own.

"Finally done and now my bed I am coming!" Irene said as she jumped on her bed as a smile crept on her face and her mind suddenly bought up today's ball.

"Today more or less everyone came except for Rose and The crown Prince...He has been at the place for so long that it is hard to see him this day...*sigh* I miss him...." Irene talked to herself as she closed her eyes and she thought of his face with a smile on her face.
